Yep! I think that the story is really interesting overall. And the concept of this world that is completely hidden from us is soooo intriguing, and the fact that there are so many things that we just don't know because Canon (Sophie) doesn't know either is really fun! It also provides a lot of opportunities for fanfic to be made for it, just fan content in general. It's like how I have a few ideas for heavily canon divergent AU's for it. I've also seen some really good fan content as well!

So yes. I very much do like KOTLC.

#anon #anon ask #keeper of the lost cities #kotlc #i kinda went on a tangent there #whoops!#but keeper is something i sort of imprinted on #it's always in some corner of my brain giving me ideas #of course a lot of those are short fics that include hurting the characters in certain ways #but... what can ya do?#but then you also have the long-fic ideas that get put on the backburner for my other longfics #but i have one au idea where fitz gets lost in the human world and is “missing” in the elven world or declared dead #i haven't decided which one yet #and somehow he ends up befriending sophie and realizing that she's the moonlark #(because hello! humans project their thoughts!!! sophie /doesn't/)#and i can't help but think of sophie finding comfort being with fitz because his thoughts aren't loud. she can't hear them #which depending on their ages would either really comfort her or freak her out #and then another fic idea where sophie isn't super trusting of people in general because the human world SUCKS #and so she's a lot slower to befriend anyone or trust them in general. like if she got the note telling her to bottle the stuff-#-she's just be like. Fuck no. because the human world sucks and it has made her so incredibly cautious and just #ahhh #yeah can you tell that this stuff just sits in my brain?
