you like kotlc?
Yep! I think that the story is really interesting overall. And the concept of this world that is completely hidden from us is soooo intriguing, and the fact that there are so many things that we just don't know because Canon (Sophie) doesn't know either is really fun! It also provides a lot of opportunities for fanfic to be made for it, just fan content in general. It's like how I have a few ideas for heavily canon divergent AU's for it. I've also seen some really good fan content as well!
So yes. I very much do like KOTLC.

Taken - Zutara
Pt 1 (Here), Pt 2, Pt 3, Pt 4, Pt 5, Pt 6
So, as far as I know, we don't know much (if anything) about Azulon's wife. And I have a soft spot for fics that set up her as the origin for much of Iroh's (eventual) kind nature. Knowing a bit about world building and government structure (thanks DND), Azulon being a very militaristic leader means that the Fire Nation, to survive, would need a second in command (Fire Lady) that kept things stable on the home front. I love fics that include this, too. And we do see hints of that in ATLA. The polluted river? What smart leader puts a factory shooting chemicals into a river right housing a floating town???
Anyway, the fic that I was working on had Azulon's wife (who I called Ilah) as a main character. Basically, Fire Lady Ilah has fallen ill, and out of desperation to keep the balance of their power, Azulon managing the war front while Ilah kept the mother land alive, Azulon searches for something that can be done to save her. The only thing that was suggested that could work was a water bending healer. Of course, the Fire Nation had no access to any water benders. They executed all of the prisoners after Hama's escape, and an assault on the North would take to long to be effective. Thankfully, word had just come that there was a new waterbender spotted in the South.
Some worry its the blood demon (Hama) returned to rally dark spirits. Others hope it is a potential healer for their ailing leader. Either way, an investigation must be made. They must find the waterbender in the South.
When the ships arrive, led by Iroh (maybe Lu Ten, or with Lu Ten aboard), the tribe is helpless. Hama is not there, and hasn't been in decades. No warrior, no matter how many there are, could stand to the well equiped soldiers of three high class cruisers. So when the leader steps out, wanting to see the waterbender, the village can only cower. Hakoda tightens his grip on a spear that will be useless against so many. It's when an officer mentions a rumor that waterbenders instinctively save themselves from drowning, and suggests holding each tribesman under water until the bender is found that Katara, only 8, screams out that its her, so the Fire Nation won't hurt her family.
She's taken, her family screaming, onto the ship. There, she's kept by Iroh and/or Lu Ten, who sits with her and gives her tea. Iroh or Lu Ten explain why they came, how his mother/grandmother is ailing, and needs a healer. He tells her that, while she may be young, she's their only hope of a healer. Katara has no choice but to promise to do her best, knowing her village would take the punishment for her failure.
They dress her in Fire Nation clothes, which she hates, and as they sail back to the Fire Nation, Iroh and/or Lu Ten do their best to trian her. They have her practice on soldiers that are injured either from training or work accidents. She becomes surprisingly competent in a short time, all because she had a master (even though a firebending one) to guide her.
When she finally reaches the Fire Nation, she's taken by how bright and colorful everything is. She's amazed by how load and plentiful the people are. And when she's taken into the Fire Palace, she's shocked by how big everything is.
When she's brought before Azulon, the Fire Lord rages. A peasant child? This is the hope of the Fire Nation?! Iroh asks his father to trust, and they take Katara to the Fire Lady.
And, by some mix of sheer force of will and some miracles, Katara succeeds.
Ilah is able to recover, at least partially, and Katara is placed as her 'ward', always at the Fire Lady's side, lest the sickness return. But Ilah is a gentle soul. She won't have a child acting as a nurse full time. Whenever there is a moment, she makes sure to be where Katara can be around others her age will be. In the Fire Palace, that is anywhere Zuko and Azula will be.
Katara spends a lot of those first weeks stiff and cautious, hesitant to go near the Fire Nation royals. But Azula constantly pokes at her with Mai and Ty Lee. She bites back, snaps when Azula sneers. It is only because Ilah is there that Azula doesn't try to burn her. Later, Zuko starts to come by. He's awkward and kind of rude, but it's not meant in a mean way. Ursa encourages Zuko to be kind, to make friends with her, so Zuko does his best.
After a couple months, Katara isn't skittish or cautious. She surrenders to the fact that she's never going home. Ilah doesn't need her as much, so she is mostly locked in her room, a small room attached to the Fire Lady's personal chambers. With little to do, Katara begins to despair. It's Zuko, still trying because his mother asked and he would never disappoint her, that becomes her ally.
He brings her snacks, books, even trying toys and things, to get her to brighten. Eventually, she opens up, relying on Zuko as her only friend. It brings out more of Azula's spite, and Zuko becomes worried about safety. He asks if Katara would maybe like to come with him to practice instead of sitting around in her little room, hoping to keep her closer in case Azula tried anything.
It's at these firebending practices that Katara starts to learn combat bending. She mimics and mines certain moves when she thinks no one is watching, slowly learning what does and doesn't move the water. She learned, if she loosened her stance, made her body just a bit more fluid as it moved instead of sharp like firebenders, she could waterbend. Slowly, she adapts, teaching herself to fight by changing firebending moves to fit her needs.
It's about a year after Katara arrives in the Fire Nation that it happens. The sickness returns with a vengeance, and Fire Lady Ilah needs full time care again. Katara, attached to this woman whose life she holds in her hands and has been at the side of for over a year, weeps when she realizes she's not enough to save her. At 9, Katara must tell Fire Lord Azulon that she is weak and can not do the one thing that they kept her around for. She cowered as the Fire Lord raged, knowing that it could be the last thing she ever sees.
"It is only by Fire Lady Ilah's will that you live," Azulon tells her after the funeral. "It is her memory that stays my hand. Do not sully it, lest I forget why you are here."
Katara is put into Ursa's care, and is placed in lessons. She attends private classes, learning Fire Nation history, math, and literature. Her life becomes so busy, she barely has time for anything but her studies. Zuko is her only reprieve, and they share their wants and desires. Zuko wants to become someone that his mother and father can be proud of. Katara just wants to go home. Zuko promises that, some day, some how, he'll make that happen for her. Katara thanks him, but she knows that it's impossible.

So there's this web novel called Worm.
Tumblr media
[art source]
It's about a dark and edgy world that's full of superpowered folks, and which is, therefore, about three steps away from dystopian collapse. Many places are already there.
The story is about a teenage bullying victim who gains powers, and uses them to become a very dangerous supervillain, despite her best efforts.
And anyone familiar with the RWBY fandom may have just gone "wait, this sounds familiar. Are there a lot of fics where a main character gets an alternate power set?"
Yes, yes there are.
In this fanfic I'm about to complain about, Taylor gets an already existing power that's already broken.
Tumblr media
Canon has "Path to Victory", which is almost literally just an "I WIN" button. It tells "Contessa" what she needs to do to succeed at almost any goal she wants. She's a big blindspot for people who can see the future.
Some powerful entities can't be accurately predicted, she can't predict how people will "trigger" and get their powers, and she's terrible in space.
Taylor has the darker, edgier little brother. Which is just an "I WIN" button, with no “almost”. It means she gets to do whatever she wants, and she’s a borderline sociopath.
Someone tries to mind-whammy taylor? Nope, doesn't work.
Contessa tries to use PTV.on Taylor? Doesn't work.
Look, this is obviously, transparently a stompfic. And there two ways to go with that.
ROFLSTOMP, or take it seriously.
Make it a humour fic, or focus on how the protagonist seems strange to those around them, and how they see everyone else as strange in return. Also how the protagonists actions affect various people and the system.
If you want challenge just give them mutually contradictory goals. The power can't do x without risking or losing y and certainly can't take care of z at the same time.
I read a Harry potter story which gave Snape the path to victory and the last published chapter was snape sitting in a bar trying to figure out what he wanted to do next. Looking back, that was probably meant to represent the author.
You can tell a good dramatic story with an OP protagonist. You just have to work harder.
This story mostly worked hard on setting up literally contrived situations so Taylor can kill someone in amusing fashion. And people's amusing reactions. That's the main selling point.
And of course the author and Taylor say that she has no more moral issues with killing. Because ROFLSTOMP.
In fact, one of the first things she does is literally stomp Sophia to death.
Taylor will still go after hard drug dealers because they hurt people, but she'll leave soft drug dealers alone. And of course she hates the local Nazi gang.
In short, she's a very selective sociopath.
So the story tries to mix both types, including with Sociopolitical Commentary™. It doesn't work very well.
At one point Taylor cracks a joke about tech Bros.
Fun fact: Worm  takes place in an alternate universe where there is a very slim chance that they would develop that particular slang. A universe that is culturally very different from our own. In fact, I'm pretty sure the original webnovel ended before "tech bro" was even really a phrase.
And when Taylor kills the local Injustice League, she gets the bounty, and decides to donate it to the city. Specifically, she announces, the general public.
And in case anyone was wondering why it can’t be given to businesses directly, she says trickle down economics doesn't work.
Let's ignore whether that's true or not. Trickle down economics usually refers to tax cuts. Not handouts and bailouts. Also the phrase was popularized mainly with Ronald Reagan's tax cuts.
Note that superheroes and villains started appearing on record in 1984. Reagan's first tax cuts were in 1981. His second were in 86. By 1985 in the worm universe, the breakfast club came out with Nic cage as bender. Superheroes didn't go public until 1987.
So it's possible that the phrase could still exist in the worm universe.
But it does seem strange that a teenager with little interest in politics happens to use it. In fact it seems a lot more like something an adult writer from our universe would use.*
Tumblr media
And besides all that, it's just getting one note. No char development. Even the people reacting to Taylor do it the same way.
I mean I knew this was going to be self indulgent Mary Sue nonsense from the jump, so I really have nobody to blame but myself.
*To be fair, precedent does exist in canon. There's a character called Nice Guy. He can make himself appear to be a non threat, or even socially invisible, even when people are actively trying to find him or he's slitting a throat. Which sounds a lot like the 2000s  internet feminist stereotype of a nice guy. Ironically, the character concept was originally for a girl.

HALLO. Hello, yes, hi Mimi. ITS YOUR NUMBER 1 FAN!!
You said you had so many ideas but such little time??
Well, please, tell me all about them!! I love your ideas and I'm so intrigued. I'd love to hear about them all. :3
Hello there Akuma! Yep yep, so many ideas that just pop out of nowhere. No actual plot line for some, but still ideas. One of which I am almost done with! It’s a SAMS fanfic that I am SO excited to post, but just wanted to make sure to finished the thing first so I wouldn’t abandon the fic for too long between updates—I really hate leaving a fic unfinished (and those that are unfinished literally sit on my lungs), so I decided to finish it first before starting to proof read it and publish it. I am around 80 % done, I guess, since I don’t actually have an ending planned for it.
I have another SAMS story but I don’t have much ideas for it. The reason why I made it is because I wanted to see two characters together and I had to squeeze my mind for an idea for it. It is fun to write them (since they’re both my favorite characters), but being short on ideas suck. Not to mention that I don’t have time and that I am working also on My Baby fic.
I have another idea that’s gonna be a sick fic (because I am a sucker for these kinda fics), and I have some ideas for it, but no actually plot, just hurt/comfort (another thing I am a sucker for). This one is still an idea that is plaguing my mind, but I do want to find a sort of plot line before starting to write anything (not to mention that I would like to keep my excitement in check for when I do have a plot line and time, so I would actually have motivation to write it and not get burned out).
Another idea is inspired by something that happened in real life that I feel guilty for, so I thought writing something for it would justify a bit of my guilt. It will be a sick fic/baby fic/and a hurt/comfort kinda fic. I have chapter one half done and a few drawings for it, but it is on hold because every time I think about it it just brings kind of bad memories. I adore baby fics when it is with my favorite characters turned to babies, but for some reason this idea (which kinda do have a plot line) is heavy on my hands. Not because of the angst, but because it makes me feel guilty, bringing more and more memories to mind. I find that to be silly—My Baby fic has a lot of things that actually happened, but for some reason (maybe because Sun and Moon are the one taking the abuse and not reader) it doesn’t actually trigger me by any means. If anything, it inspires me.
There is a mafia idea, but it is just a small idea because I was angry and thought of the most cruelest way to torture someone in my mind, and I kinda imagined it as a mafia fic.
Hoo boy, that’s a lot. I am chatting your ear off at this point. There are a few other ideas, but as I said, they’re just ideas without a plot line for me to actually make anything out of. They could work as one-shots, but I still am unsure. I am trying to focus on three fics as of now (My Baby fic included, of course), so I do hope I would have more time.
Thank you for your question! Have a cookie!

Hi! I wanted to ask your opinion on why you enjoy Kuroshitsuji if it isn’t too much to answer. Recently I have been feeling like I’m being ‘punished’ for enjoying Kuro because I always see people talking bad about it and Yana on twitter. 😅 I am well aware Kuro has a lot of issues but I really enjoy the characters and such but the opinions of people about the series kind of has been hurting me as a fan and thus I have been losing interest🥲 I was hoping I can talk to someone who is a fan of Kuro that can help give me some mindset or something. I have been drawing for Kuro for years so I’m quite passionate towards the series and Yana herself and but this has been bugging me. If you can’t answer this it is totally okay and you can delete this ask❣️
Hi, anon! That’s not too much at all! My apologies for the late response; I wanted to make sure I could sit down to properly get my thoughts in order before answering.
My love for Kuro was originally (and is to this day) rooted in the source material. The manga and anime introduced me to some of my most beloved fictional characters, including Miss Grelle—as attested to by my url! 😉 The story instantly had me hooked with its campy hijinks, tragic undertones, and forays into the dark corners of the human psyche. Even with the current lag in pacing, I’m excited to see where the Phantomfam’s adventures take us next! And, of course, I would be remiss without mentioning the artwork. In a visual medium like manga, aesthetics can make or break your enjoyment of a series, and Kuro’s Victorian steampunk flair is perfectly suited to my tastes, especially with the steady improvement in quality as Yana’s honed her craft over the years.
However, particularly during this dry season of short chapters and plodding plot progression, it’s the community that grew up around Kuro that nourishes my love for it the most. Naysayers condescendingly sneer that the fandom is dead, but the incredible art, funny memes, awesome animations, excellent fics (some of which outshine published novels I’ve read), insightful meta and more that I see across my dash and in the tags suggest otherwise. And when we come together (such as during past fandom weeks or @anewp0tat0 ‘s recent event to celebrate the 200th chapter) that display of talent burns even brighter. As a writer, building up lore in headcanons and fic or reading my mutual’s creative interpretations of Yana’s world is just as fun—if not more so—than engaging with the actual manga. That enrichment alone is enough to keep me invested in the Kuroverse for the foreseeable future.
The series also holds considerable sentimental value for me because it served as the catalyst for my queer awakening and brought friends and loved ones into my life who I would never have met otherwise. Even if the day comes when I put Kuroshitsuji on the shelf in favor of other stories, that positive impact will remain.
However, that doesn’t mean that the series or fandom are perfect. Yana’s sleazy past and irresponsible pandering to the gross side of the fandom are an unpleasant reality with which we must contend, as are the fujoshis, transphobes, and other creeps—some of whom proved to be a genuine danger to minors—who continue to give us a bad name. But those people who blindly label Kuro as wholesale trash and accuse all fans of condoning the problematic content merely betray their simplistic, black-and-white way of thinking. We cannot and should not sweep the objectionable aspects of the series under the rug, but we can interact with Kuro critically—recognizing and calling out the areas in need of improvement while also cherishing the best parts of this cursed butler manga. As long as you’re consuming media responsibly, and in a way that doesn’t actively harm others, then you have no reason to feel guilty. You sure as heck don’t deserve to be punished!
Ignore the haters as best you can, and try to focus on what first ignited your passion for Kuro; don’t let those jerks steal your joy. 😤 Alternatively, if you need to take a break from that onslaught of negativity and just rest for a bit, that’s fine, too! There’s no shame in stepping away to recharge, and you shouldn’t push yourself to participate in fandom if doing so is detrimental to your well-being.
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been having a tough time over on the bird app, but I hope my answer was helpful and that Kurohell can continue to be a happy, welcoming place for you! 🖤

Alexs short story based on a Gomens fic!
Alexander Perry
Year 6
Class Mr Olewayo
English assignment 4: Creative writing
Write a piece of fiction including character, symbolism and metaphor.
Introduction:
Title: On the 7th Day
Intro explanation:
I wanted to write a story based on the story I wrote about for the assignment previous. That one I wrote about a piece of Fanfiction by a good writer irisbleufic which based on Good omens the characters and world. Getting their permission I am allowed to use that story to write what they inform me is “companion piece”. This will be from the point of view POV from the other main character in the story that is Aziraphale the angel. I am really going to try hard to use different types of language and speech in my story because I want it to do the originale proud. I will also be using spellcheck on Word much more carefully as Mr Olewayo wrote that I should to make my writing even better. I will also like to say my mum did help with Formulating sentences. I am not very good at making sentences sound correct (verbs nouns etc) but the ideas, dialogue, everything else is mine.
On the 7th Day
Monday
Places for everything: and everything in place.
Aziraphales View on Book keeping was much in keeping with his liking of human language because it had many sides. He thought that it was awful clever of human beings to make language as they did that it could mean so many things on such levels (although he likes to take some pride in the idea that he actually had large role in encourage the people along, the Tower of Babbel of course was an accident but he rather thinks a lucky one). Because he, Aziraphale, Bookseller, Soho gentleman, Angel of Heaven, former Guard of East gate of Eden, Traitor of the Great Plan … no wait where did THAT thought pop from?
Aziraphale pauses with a Book in hand and shakes head and goes back to his big thoughts. Ah yes, his View on Book Keeping (The capital letter of course was important. An angel didn’t have opinions or goodness forbid philosophies. A View showed a certain level of height).  Book keeping was not just what he did: he kept the books as he sorted out the taxes and the money runnings of his Shop. He is very good at this, so good the government is suspicious of him. On another level though he is a actual “keeper”: he keeps the books safe, is a guard of them just like he was in Eden and … his thoughts start to wander a bit then. It is after the Apocalypse that they (They! They! They! His heart starting to beat a bit here that he smooths down like he does the bowtie) stopped just in time. He remember now how good it was, the Park after, then the Ritz restaurant. He remember also jokes about his name that never leave him really (“Oh Azira-FAIL: another frivols miracle cant even ride a horse without some heaven help.”) But none of those jokes hurt so much now after… after all of it now. Aziraphale, who is Bookseller, Soho shopowner, Angel of… Heaven? He guesses?... Guard of … books? Traitor…
Oh BOTHER.
Aziraphale sighs.
He picks up the phone.
“Mm?” says Crowley.
If there is a more annoying way to answer a phone then Aziraphale hasn’t heard it yet. But at this point the annoyal is part of the affection (the angel part of him freezes up a bit at the word but the part that’s been growing under and thru it puts it on a shelf. A Bookshelf even)
He is pretty sure the rubbing off thing is supposed to be rude but he is also sure that Crowley isn’t as sure as he seems to be. He has once read the phrase “throwing things at a wall and hoping it sticks”. He doesn’t like modern terms but this strike him as a good one to keep for what Crowley does a lot.
What he does know when he hangs up, is that cury is on the menu. And that Crowleys plants will need some loving helps when he comes back over.
Tuesday
Messaging- Invitations and water bird care
The View that Aziraphale (still very much Bookshop owner and loyal Angel of… somewhere anyway) has about Tuesday was that it’s a day to take stock of the mail and paperwork. Because he Has Standards ™ he of course does not mail by computer. He has a cellular phone but this is of the chunky typ and only because the Arrngment had made it so Crowley insisted on it a few years ago in the prep for Apocafail (aha that play on his name both funny and eye rolling). It can just about send a picture but honestly why will he bother because he has pushed the “no frivols miracle” nonsense to the side. With a thought he can send images and ideas… if he needs. To. Still the thought is kind of nice. But there is mail of the good paper sort to tend to and today he is restless. Usual contacts in the bookselling world (Aziraphale if he cared to look close at anything would be forced to admit to basically “book sharing” because he always got his back…. But those others well… there is a reason hes not Heavens most commendated angel). There is also some mail from his tenant in the music shop and lots of advert mail. Nothing hold his attention because he woke up and had a definite idea that wont go away even on 3rd cup of tea and chocolate biscuit. Aziraphale who is a bookshop owner, who was the guardian of East of Eden, who is now very much going through a withdraw from demon shaped presence (not to be total admitted yet) sends a polite card in the mail. A simple idea of feeding the ducks, they must be missing the attention! And he knows a demon who loves animals definitely more than he thinks his kind are meant to.  He doesn’t believe in post that takes time and so it doesn’t.
The phone ringsd a few minutes later. Aziraphales smile if he could see his own face would light up the whole place.
Wednesday
On
In the View of Aziraphale, angel of a Soho bookshop, former soldier in Heavan, current guard of… wait what was he thinking again?
Actually, Aziraphale thinks, actually his point is… actually his point is…
My lord but he’s thirsty.
This is not the first time hes thirsty. His body is human. That is the whole point of all the thing. It would not be fair otherwise. It needs to breathe and go to the loo and actually now hes been on earth quite a bit its trained itself to need food. That as he has since learned is called Conditioning. Both him and Crawley (oh dear he did it and he Dead named: that is only when he lets his mind go back to early days on earth and he always feels bad no it CROWLEY of course) are now so earth bound that the needs of earth bodies have become more. Out of nowhere he remembers how Crowley once told him a story about how he had to go to the loo after a long sleep. At the time he had been sick at the thought and now he lies … on a couch?... and he feels a blush because … he doesn’t know why.
Anyway he sort of feels like maybe he needs the loo too but this is not his bookshop.
Aziraphale who was the guard of the gate of Eden and who now is the angel of a bookshop that he is not in sighs very loud because he knows of course where he is.
"I thought I told you to go home," Crowley muttered, yawning.
And there he is Crowley. His words are different from his facial espresion though this is true lots of time. He has not got black pjs like Aziraphale would suspect. Instead they are quite thick red flannel. This isn’t really a shock because Crowley is not as cool as he thinks people thinks he is and also, he freezes like anything.
For one very bad moment Aziraphale thinks he really wants him to go. How can he be sure after all, Crowley is a demon still that’s not changed right? Too much pushing of barriers that they (or who did? Not good question ugh his head) put up maybe will just get him angry. He doesn’t want to be thrown out hed rather leave himself.
But when he stands to go there Crowley is, he is seeming irritated and sighing but something in his eye says “sit, stay, you welcome”.
That’s more than he very felt back on Heavan.
So he does.
Thursday
DEFINITELY NOT Cleaning
The former Heavanly warrior that is still called Aziraphale, him who is bookshop owner sometimes trader of books to those who maybe deserve it, is looking at his bookshop just in its state. It’s a good bookshop. It is him made into the form of a place. Crowley was very right to use that line “No more Old Bookshops” as the parting line to try convince him to help stop The End Times. Probably maybe he would have been convinced anyway: hes starting to think, to realize that theres love and then there is Love and he hopes so much to find if there is maybe difference. But first he must look at this bookshop of his and feel it. Its where he found a home first and even Crowley found him here with a cholate box like a romantic date when he was opening even if the bosses (his human heart bumps just at idea of Gabriel and the resat even now how sad is that) made it dangerous. The past angel of the east gate is having lots of thoughts and feelings very fast and all of this goes one way to the thought that he’s been a bit (okay not a bit a lot) wrong.
The bookshop needs cleaning but then again it always needs cleaning. He made it this way so that he could keep being Keeper of Books instead of just a book keeper. He looks out over the shelfs that he know and loves and the lovely yellow paint (eyes likes a demon now he can think it ) and also the lovely skylight where he can see the stars he remembers that Crowley… no, must not think that he thinks. Ok then one think to do. Modern day telephones make so easy!
Crowley is here as he always is, being funny about stuff like dust and plants and books. For the first time Aziraphale thinks that there MUST be some reason other than just worry Crowley comes when he calls. Maybe he shall try to test it?
"See, that's the problem with things like dust, and plants," Crowley added philosophically, helping himself to some more tea. "If they're inanimate, then I'm your aunt. You've got to let them know who's boss."
This is not new idea to Aziraphale who has heard Crowley talk like this since at least the 70s. But he thinks that if at least its got Crowley here, it’s a good begnining
Friday
Some washing
Aziraphale is now just looking on at Crowley as he sleeps and he feels bit guilty about it. They are in his own room that he made for himself at the small living space at top of the bookshop. It is still kind of weird that he made an Effort to make a flat that is nice upstairs, because he never cared that much before he started to have Ideas. The Ideas have taken space of Views. Its funny that because Views are from above looking down but Ideas are just all over the place. Ideas like Crowley slept over last night. It was just hugging and because Crowley is always cold because of course he was snake the snake of Eden even, he suffers from cold a lot. Warming him after some glasse4s of wine and then they talked a lot about some old idea, a poem by Shakespeare that was a sonnet they could not agree upon. So not Crowley in in this room and Aziraphale wants to do lots of things. He wants to bring breakfast and wake him up, but then also he wants to just hug him and wait for to wake up. He does not get chance to do anything unfortunately.
Crowley is already awake and he seems snappy. But then.. then…
“"Then I'll start sleeping over, how's that?"
The angel of the Soho bookshop puts on his cashmere coat and then goes to the finest mattress shop he can find.
Saturday
Various stuff… But more future than past
Aziraphale, him who once was a soldier and then he was a guard, then became an enemy of a demon and now… and now is what?
He thinks that’s the question.
He thinks hes just the owner of a weird bookshop that’s a second home for a good demon. He might be other things but what he’s doing right now is going out to have a look around in Soho. Soho is a good place, it is very open and that’s why he has stayed over these years. He has also done many blessings over this time so he feels connected to it. The queer community in this place is very good and have some help from him, he feels always that they’ve needed his help. He doesn’t question sometimes this.
Now what is he? Hes had some time to think. Hes had some time to feel.
No miracles ever felt so good as just feeling Crowleys hand in his own hand during one time on the couch. The choice then he thinks he must make. Crowleys waiting for him.
He gets a vague idea of what Crowleys up to because its not like he drives or would ever take public transport! He knows where Crowley is always and he likes that idea. Now hes going to use it more!
Frivolos miracle blinks away.
Crowley looks surprised and lovely and all rumpled in his hair. But he still says
“Ill get my coat!”

The plotting… of further good days
Aziraphale who once guarded a gate and also once fought a war and also once thought that stuff like Sides mattered in the Great War TM  , who is still an angel in the idea that he does miracles and still feels like God (copywright) is still with him… Aziraphale is feeling good.
He is lying and waiting for Crowley to come back with some tea and crumpets. The crumpets are important because theyre going to have jam on them.
Aziraphale doesn’t sleep very much. But he is very happy to change that if he can stay here.
Crowleys back with some tea and nice jams and crumpets and they eat. The ideas about Gentlemen go out the window because at no point was Crowley only a man, or only one thing and then they laugh about what human ideas of a gentleman means… its fun. Much more fun that anything that could ever be in heavan.
“Crowley, I think..”
The bookshop angel has a bit of a think because hes slow but he isn’t actually stupid.
Crowley looks at him and says “Okay?”
The Book Keeper says “Forgive me because this is too late”.
And then they kiss.

Intro Post
Hi there, I'm rose-red-ink, but you can call me Inky! I'm a writer, and a lover of all things nerdy. I'm also an elementary teacher, so I reblog education stuff occasionally. Feel free to drop into my dms or asks if you want to chat about fandom, fic, or anything else!
This is a writing blog where I write lots of things including anime and Star Wars fic, as well as original projects. I'll be dropping links to them and dropping a short summary below. Enjoy your stay, and again, I always enjoy asks and engagement! Come talk to me (I don't bite I promise)
Original Works
My Original WIP is tagged with #theartemiscovenant or #theartemisproject or just #TAC. I don't have a lot of it posted, but I'm happy to chat about it whenever.
It's an urban fantasy thriller about faith, trauma, familial love, and working through your mental illness to become a better person. The protagonist is the holder of the Artemis Covenant, Riley, and there are other "god" characters such as Hades, Persephone, Apollo, Hermes and Demeter, as well as other supernatural creatures like werewolves.
Fanfiction
Everything under here can be found on my A03
If you send in an ask for anything I write, I'd happily drop you a drabble. Just ask!
Star Wars
Force Mandated Bottle Episode (Sequels Rewrite, including Reylo) Ongoing, updated every Saturday
Related Web Weaving
When Finn and Poe escape from the First Order ship, Kylo Ren takes off after them. When both ships are damaged, they crash on Jakku, right into the Star Destroyer that Rey is scavenging from.
Finn is longing for freedom while unable to escape the thoughts of those he left behind. Poe is determined to be the most annoying hostage possible to his old surrogate brother. Kylo is trying to survive Poe while being plagued with curiosity; who is the woman he keeps hearing at the edges of his mind? And new powers are awakening in Rey, powers that seem to be the source of the visions of a strange man in black, exploring the same wreckage, just out of her reach.
Choices will be made, loyalties tested, and bonds forged. Where will they go when they emerge from the wreckage?
One Piece
Featherflower (Dracule Mihawk X OC) Completed
A Kuja named Teria is forced to leave Amazon Lily, and finds herself a home aboard the Red Force, working under the Red Haired Shanks. This puts her face to face with a mysterious swordsman several times. The two form a connection, and eventually, love blooms.
This one is done, but I still write mini fics for them as the inspo strikes.
The Punk and the Surgeon: Lawka (Trafalgar D. Water Law x OC) Ongoing
Law's ship needs repairs, and the only place to do so is said to be haunted. Instead of a ghost or spirit, he meets Aika; a stubborn, kind young woman who's doing her best to keep her family safe. Through a series of tragic circumstances, she finds her way onto his crew, and into his heart.
Cards and Pieces: Freyce (Portgas D. Ace x OC) Ongoing
In his time as captain of the Spade Pirates, Ace drunkenly stumbles across a young woman with a strong spirit, a need for connection, and a loyalty that burns brighter than the sun. She becomes his first mate, and stands by his side through everything.
Jujitsu Kaisen
Candy and Catastrophes (Bluebird) (Satoru Gojo x OC) Ongoing
Natori is wildly thrown into the world of jujitsu sorcery when her cursed technique manifests, leaving her confused and scared. Satoru Gojo steps in, promising to hide her identity from her clan and to give her a job at Jujitsu High, masquerading as a window. He gets more than he bargained for when attraction begins to stir between the two.
(This fic is focused on character development, fluff, and hurt/comfort. It will go off the course of canon for these reasons)

things i write !
this blog has a focus on "male character x reader" content.
my preferred reader is male reader, but i will also write for gender neutral reader as well. when it comes to nsfw content, i also have a preference on writing bottom reader. it says a lot about me but i'll leave it at that. ♡
simply put, i write mlm/nblm content.
i personally will not do:
female reader
female characters ( in a romantic context )
i hope you understand ♡
i am also a bit unsure on how to write trans reader, as i myself am not trans. i am more than willing to try however, but i do suggest you find other people who have a better understanding and are more willing to :)
i am also ok with writing mlm/nblm canon character ships, but would prefer to stick with content that includes the reader.
Tumblr media
types of content! section a
these are some genres i will be writing here!
nsfw ( teehee. )
fluff
angst ( not as prominent, i am not too big on angst :') )
hurt/comfort
etc, i am open to a lot of things
however, there will be specific things i won't write.
strictly dark content ( some of the things i write may be on the lines of dark if it ever comes to it, but it won't be too deep and it will be tagged accordingly )
extreme kinks and/or fetishes.
y*ndere
pedophilia
beastiality
if you're unsure, please ask!
Tumblr media
types of content ! section b
i will do my best to write the following:
short/long fics
my average writing for a one-shot styled fic will be approximately 1.8k-2k words. i haven't experimented writing longer fics yet, however, so the length for those may vary. these may take longer to write, considering i am crap at writing fics.
headcanons list
the length of headcanons will vary based on how many characters are included, the kind of headcanons and just how creative i am in general.
drabbles
shorter than an average short fic, will approximately be 500-1k words, give or take.
ramblings/brainrots
these will just be short blurbs. blorbo. mini stuff. probably a lot of it will be nsfw.
Tumblr media
what i write for !
these are some of the things i'll write for, my fandoms basically!
genshin impact
every male chara is fair game! certain charas will be a bit tougher to write for certain content. please, feel free to ask beforehand!
honkai star rail
i'll write for most of the male characters! welt ♡♡, gepard, jing yuan ♡♡, blade, sampo, dan heng and any others.
obey me! shall we date?
all male charas are fair game! no luke ( nsfw/romantic content ) for obvious reasons.
nu:carnival
i prefer writing for dante, quincy, kuya AND eiden ( my faves! ) but am not against the others!
onmyōji
pokémon ( to a certain extent of my knowledge )
i've played legends arceus, shield, scarlet/violet!!
persona 5/royal/strikers
male charas are fair game! preferred ryuji tho, funny man.
jujutsu kaisen
nanami kento. and more of course, but i have an obsession with him, i need him...
and perhaps some others i will add soon!
Tumblr media
requests how-to !
you now know what content i write, and the fandoms i'm apart of. you're free to request me to write according to what i've provided you here :)
first and foremost, i ask that you be as detailed as you'd like when requesting. it helps me get a better understanding of what you would like, and it will generally just help my thinking flow.
if you submit a vague idea, it will take a while longer for me to do, for obvious reasons. ^^
next, i have every right to refuse a request within my comfort. i will address it if you submit it anonymously, or send you a dm if you did not! i hope you understand when i do refuse. if you however cannot take no as an answer, i will block you.
if by chance, i somehow receive a lot of requests, i will close them accordingly! they will open again once i am done with clearing up whatever requests i need to finish! please refrain from sending in requests when i state that they are closed!
that's pretty much it for requests! i look forward to seeing what you have in mind!

What bothers me the most isn’t that they’re willing to destroy Frisk + go to war against humanity... It’s the fact that a lot of them, including almost all of the Main Characters, were attacking an innocent child and the so-called ‘Heroes’ were ENJOYING it... Papyrus, Undyne, Mettaton, Muffet and Sans were ALL SMILING while they were hurting Frisk, like how the Villian Flowey did at the start... I know Sans doesn’t attack Frisk in Pacifist Route, but he still treated Frisk dying AS A JOKE! 😠
Omgosh, right? It's like Frisk's life doesn't matter to them at all.
I do not like Sans. He threatened Frisk & never helped once. He's horrible &, honestly, he's not even a good brother. Papyrus doesn't even realize that the whole point of wanting a human was that they wanted to kill them & use their soul. He says that he wasn't sure what would happen after getting a human & whenever you fight & lose against him, he never kills you, always puts you in the shed (which itself has its own problems) & I believe that the reason he doesn't understand that he's supposed to kill Frisk is because no one told him what it is that the Royal Guards actually DO, including Sans. He also thinks he's a good chef, when really he isn't. This tells me that those around him aren't honest with him.
That naivety, of course, only really excuses his actions up until after the playdate. Because by the time he meets up with Undyne, he knows full well that she wants to kill Frisk & that by helping her, he's a part of that. That if Frisk dies, then that's on him too.
Yet, he still helped because he didn't want to lose either 'friend' & he is frequently responsible for Undyne finding Frisk.
He's just... he's often treated like a child & thus behaves like one. Which, as much as I love kids, they tend to be self-centered & selfish.
What I'd like to see is a series of short fics exploring the timelines where Frisk simply doesn't Reset or go back. The reactions of the monsters to having killed Frisk as well as what happens afterwards.
Such as Papyrus reacting to Undyne having killed Frisk, her congratulating him for having helped her to catch & kill Frisk, "I couldn't have done it without you." Then, him reacting to learning about the war that was to come, having to really fight & kill other humans, & him slowly becoming resentful of himself & those around him for never having prepared him for this.
Or Alphys' reaction to Metaton killing Frisk & leaving the Underground & other monsters behind.
Just really explore the tragedy.

Wolf Be Upon Yeet: Part II
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In which @vicarious-rebel and I chatted via DM about the Werewolf By Night and Moon Knight crews in her headcanon which includes Elsa's pet eldritch horror Stony. Here's part I.
Stonyverse short fics: "Of blood and stone" and "Something Awful This Way Comes" (ao3 link).
This edition is more philosophical and about character development than silly. There's plenty of silliness to come!
Vi's text is black. bluemoonperegrine's text is blue. (I mean, of course.)
Talk to me about what 200+ year-old Jack is like. Other than [another character], I've never written a very old character before. I just... I have no idea. Can't fathom it.
When writing the [other character] I was able to lean on wide-eyed innocence and fish-out-of-water stuff.
Jack is not innocent. He's seen and been through A LOT, yet has held on to kindness and trust somehow.
Jack is a very tortured soul who tries really damn hard to keep his humanity intact no matter how hard it is and even though there are times when he fears he might let his anger slip and lean into the more bestial side of his nature, he still tries to compensate for it somehow
I imagine him much the same. At 42 he's still a baby werewolf so he's not too tortured yet.
I see him as someone who's also gone through a lot of heartbreak so he's not at all careless when it comes to who he lets in
What I don't get about long-lived characters is how they have the motivation to keep going. Life is a mix of good and bad, but after you've been through 200+ years of bad, is the good enough? Or is it hope or wanting to repent or help others?
In Jack's case it's a mixture of optimism and stubbornness. He sees just a little bit of hope in another's eyes and it's enough for him to keep going. And it's cumulative
Every time he helps a person or a monster and sees the relief/joy/gratitude in their eyes or when they gift him something as thanks for helping them, he clings to those things like a lifeline
then Jack looks into Stony's eyes and is like run away 😆
but Stony is an odd one so we can forgive him for that
In my headcanon, Jack avoids looking at Stony's eyes at all costs. Then again, he generally avoids Stony, so easy peasy
Jack: don't look it in the eye, don't look it in the eye, don't look-
meanwhile Marc is totally unbothered, playing around with it
Marc: Hey, Stony's eyes are like convex mirrors.
Steven: Like a funhouse! *makes faces*
Jack: *speechless* *aghast*
Jack would totally get worried over Marc being so casual about Stony
Jake, on knowing Stony wouldn't hurt them, likes to stick his mouth in its jaws and watch Jack become pale as a ghost just to mess with him.
I can imagine one of the moon boys casually leaning against Stony while snacking on something. He/they share the snack with Stony. Stony prefers freshly killed meat, but will settle for a good burrito.
gotta love everybody just acting natural around Stony like he's always been this way and Jack's just shaking at the knees
Jack has oddly inconsistent fear reactions, I think. Like Stony freaks him out but potentially getting found out at the Bloodstone funeral is like "this would be bad but eh"
a monster could kill him? not ideal but he can work around it
and Ted doesn't freak him out.
When they first met, was Jack not afraid from the start?
Maybe Jack stumbled upon Ted in a horrible situation and rescued him. No fear then.
saying something slightly too close to werewolf experience and someone gives him an odd look? fuck, shit, fuck i fucked up, i shouldn't have said that
it'd be very interesting to find out how he met Ted and whether or not he was afraid of him, considering Ted's acid is a reflex
it's funny; in my baby werewolf version of Jack he totally shrugs off saying stuff that suggests he's not fully human. Example: he tells a human he's working with an odd detail about a monster's scent. Gets a weird look.
Jack: I have a sensitive nose. *shrug*
Now, if things happen and he's exposed as being not human, he goes straight into "shit shit shit" mode.
yeah, I really want to write baby werewolf Jack meeting Ted. I have no idea how that happens yet. Won't let myself go down that rabbit hole just yet.
I think in my case it's because Jack didn't know he was a werewolf until it was too late, by that time he had heard many stories of monsters and knew how people reacted to them and he had to figure stuff out on his own because by that time his father was dead and he had no one to guide him
and he was pretty scared about being found out and killed and potentially his loved ones meeting the same fate
that's one of the things I hate about the comics canon: if you're a parent and know your kid is going to turn into a monster, how do you not prepare him or her? I mean, that's unconscionable.
Perhaps Laura wasn't sure if Jack and Lissa were cursed.
If I were her I'd have tried to prepare them anyway
I headcanon that Jack's father [Gregory] was actually working on what he thought was a cure to the curse through the Darkhold, so he didn't prepare his kids because he hoped he could break the curse before Jack turned 18
Part of why my WBN is such an AU is that I decided that Laura tells Jack and Lissa about the werewolf curse when Jack turns 17.
The kids don't believe her at first, of course.
I changed other stuff so that there's a viable pathway for them to believe her. Jack actually has some help and support, and shit still goes off the rails.
it didn't happen though, because he [Gregory] was killed before he got anywhere with it and since Jack's family started running after that, his mother was usually occupied with other things
When did Laura die, and where's Lissa?
I see Jack as eventually going solo so his mother and sister don't have to move constantly in fear for his life
he finds out from Lissa when their mother died but didn't find out when Lissa herself died until he passed through a graveyard one day and saw her name
How itinerant is Jack? Does he have multiple crash pads?
since Jack's always on the move she didn't always have a way to contact him
yeah, and much of their lives were pre-telephone
Jack moves around but really only bc he has to, he otherwise tries to settle down and I like the idea that he often stays at monster communities
He's lucky because he can pass for human most of the time
How do horses react to Jack?
horses are wary of him but generally only try to run if he gets too close or tries to touch them. That's how ppl get suspicious of him sometimes
the horses don't vibe with him and they're immediately alert
Jack was very happy when trains became commonplace lol
Trains are a godsend for Jack not least because he actually does enjoy traveling and trains allow him to go long distances
What's the deal with his werewolf form? Is it like the special? Does he have a hybrid form he can control?
the form in the special is what he really looks like when he transforms
he's a smol werewolf
at this stage he doesn't know how to control it or tap into it. But I have a darker version of him that absolutely has control over it
which does he prefer: cars or motorcycles? Also, how many languages does he speak?
cars bc they can act as shelter and a barrier to outside stimuli
I see him as speaking Spanish, English, French and a bit of Latin

Fanfic end of year asks No. 1, 18, 21, 23.
Thank you! I really do love these things, and it was excellent to come home and find this after a long workday.
favorite fic you wrote this year
This is impossible for me to narrow down to one (hey, you know I ramble, it's not a secret) so I'll do one for each "category." LOL Favorite FINISHED Caryl: Liberty and Justice Favorite UNFINISHED Caryl: (currently, because this changes often) Savage Favorite Trek (I can't choose just one, because there are so many ships): What May Come of Dreams, A Minor Indiscretion (though The Time is Out of Joint was really a close second), and honestly most of my Lwaxodo short fics. Only one person really reads them, I think, but I like them. LOL Favorite Crossover: Love Beyond Time
18. current number of wips I think there's like 30 across fandoms and including ones that have been sort of shelved for a while. This also includes one shots and short fics that I've started, but they haven't panned out. I fully intend to finish all of them, for better or for worse.
21. most memorable comment/review
Not to be a total sap, but really there are so many. Any comment or review, at all, tells me that someone is reading. That's the difference, often, between motivation and not having it. Any comment that engages with me or the story is truly wonderful. I love the ones that are excited about the story. I love the comments that are about someone who has just discovered something I've written for the first time, and I love the ones from those who are reading something for the umpteenth time. I love the names that I see over and over (and some have been with me for years). I love the ones who join me in different fandoms and go with me across fandoms. I love the ones that tell me I introduced them to something new because they decided to take a chance on a story that's "not their couple". I love the comments from people who support me, no matter what, and leave that comment when nobody else does. I truly love all of the comments and reviews that I get, and I often go back through them all when I need a little pick-me-up. They are what keep me sharing stories, and every one is appreciated!
23. fics you wanted to write but didn’t
This is honestly a bit of a sad question. I wanted to write so much. I wanted to finish far more than I did. I wanted to start a ton more. The end of the year is a reminder of how much you didn't get done. Of course, this is also a question that I can view as full of hope, because it allows me to think about all I want to work on in the coming year. I let some opinions go to my head this year that I really shouldn't have given the time of day. I can admit that it hurt my writing (motivation) a great deal. I'm hoping for the whole "new year, new start" on that, and I'm hoping to keep motivation high. So I hope to finish a ton of fics, just as I'd planned to do this year, and I hope to start some new ones that I'd wanted to work with. A big "I wish I'd done it, so maybe I'll do it next year" thing is simply wrapping up a lot of things. I'm hoping for high motivation that can even help to overcome exhaustion. LOL I have another crossover type fic I'm toying with that I would like to write. I've talked about it before, but I'd like to see it happen. I think it could be a lot of fun. I'd like to redo/fix The Little Things (a McReedus fic) and finally see it done and closed. There was another Caryl Western that I wanted to work on, so I'd like to get to it, eventually. There's another take on Caryl in the ZA that I'd like to work on, so that's on the "maybe" for the coming year.
I really want to do something Spock/Saavik, even if it's just a one shot.
I'd like to do something with Laris in it, I think, but I have no idea what. I'd just like to play with her character somewhere.

🥺 and 😈
🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?
Small but instinctive shows of affection and tenderness. I'm a sucker for subtle details and even more so when they're so engrained in someone that they've become a reflex or a habit. And I mean that both for heartwarming and heartbreaking scenes.
Like someone being handed a cup of coffee and they realise it's JUST the way they like it. Or someone already reaching for the thing their loved one needs before they're even asked. Or just the wordless, unconditional support of doing something for someone else because you know they need it in that moment.
But, also, is there anything worse than being excited about something and wanting to share it, but it's not until you, on pure habit, turn to tell the person next to you that you remember that the space is empty? Or how a song, a colour, a brand, or a scent can make you think of someone you once loved, your heart swelling on pure reflex — only to come crashing down the next second when you remember that person is gone?
Seeing those moments will never fail to make me emotional because there's just something so beautiful about how much love you can find in those simple, heartfelt actions. The space between people is filled with little habits, quirks, and instincts, tying us all together, and they're sometimes stronger and more eloquent than any verbal declaration of love could ever be.
😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: No, but I HAVE teased my readers about dramatic/angsty/painful things that happen in my stories. By which I mean that I can be a mean little shit when the opportunity presents itself, but I don't intentionally create the situations just to be mean (playfully or otherwise).
My emotions usually have very little to do with how I choose to write my stories. I write them because I enjoy them, of course, and won't include elements I truly hate, but I build my plot in a very boring way, focusing more on what seems reasonable and realistic than what I, myself, might feel for in that moment.
And I think that's one of the reasons why my fics feel so structured to a lot of my readers — the plot isn't affected by my emotional ups and downs and won't suddenly change course because of a random idea that suddenly caught my attention.
Also, while I know it's very common to joke about how writers love to torture characters and their readers, I don't. I derive no pleasure from torturing anyone, fictional or otherwise. So, on principle, I won't make choices just to be mean to my readers, not even to be cheeky or playful.
But I WILL tease them when they willingly walk into something I've warned them will hurt. And, sometimes, I will employ certain tactics to make the emotion hit just a little bit harder.
So proceed at your own risk ;)

Hidden Gems by @lqtraintracks
Happy happy birthday LQT! You’ve been a dear friend for some time, and a gem of an author I’ve admired for even longer. After many recs and lists I loved the challenge of coming up with new ideas to celebrate you! I hope this little gift makes your smile. I am particularly proud of this banner btw - not that anyone asked but my inspiration (beyond the shining gems) was LQT’s connection to music, my love for the brilliant and breathtaking Teddy/Bill & Teddy/James like the lost lyrics of a song suddenly remembered (watch me sneakily adding recs that didn’t make to this list!!’) and also, I love how guitar aesthetics resemble feminine curves which is of course a subtle nod to LQT’s equally brilliant and sexy femslash catalogue. Thank you for being you, this warm, passionate and gentle soul, for being such a role model in this fandom and a caring, generous friend! We’re all lucky to have you here 💜
As everyone knows LQT is incredibly prolific and talented, and there’s SO MUCH to explore in their catalogue. I want to highlight a few short fics that didn’t get a lot of buzz over the years that I personally love and might have gone under most people’s radar, including both Drarry and rare pairs of course. Here’s a mix of tropes and ships that showcase their brilliant mind and versatility, not to mention the inimitable talent for self-indulgent smut!!! No one explores pleasure + tender vulnerability in PWPs like LQT and I’m sure everyone will be able to find something kinky special to meet their tastes. Don’t forget to give these shorts some love, and feel free to reblog this adding your own LQT favorites!
Drarry:
Into You Like a Bludger (E, 500 words) - one of the best drabbles I’ve ever read, so much character and story within 500 words! Watch smitten Draco finally get what he wants deserves through everyone’s knowing eyes.
Everybody knows that Draco wants Harry loves the Appleby Arrows.
Finite Incantatem (E, 1.8k) - I live for this brand of fuck buddies with banter!!! Scorching hot with delightful dialogue, plus bondage and come play, we love to see it!!
Quidditch star, Harry Potter; Auror, Draco Malfoy; alcohol. Is it any wonder they can't keep their hands mouths off each other?
Duel (E, 2.2k) - I’m a simple woman who cannot resist this delicious combo of Headmaster Harry, shower sex and armpit kink okay 😳 here’s peak humor, intense fucking and sweet vulnerability underneath it all, as per!
Harry is headmaster of Hogwarts. The last thing he needs is yet another Malfoy obsession running his life. He needs his work and his wanking, and he'll be fine.
On Your Way (M, 2.4k) - one of my favourite comfort fics, soft lovers reunited and all that tenderness and sweet domesticity I love so much! Auror Harry, Professor Draco, Headmistress Hermione, love this life for them!
Draco waits for Harry to return from an Auror mission.
Make Whole the Ruined (E, 2.6k) - scar worship my beloved! A poignant and gorgeous Draco POV, really lovely characterization and scorching smut feat. bondage and spanking as we deserve!
How to explain that even though they'd never offered me any sensation before, good or bad, when Potter touches them, I'm electrified with the possibilities?
Rare pairs:
Worth It (E, 1k) - jfc exhibitionist Narcissa fucking all the young dudes at the Knight Bus under Ernie’s hungry gaze is so much hotter than I imagined, this is sinful🔥
Narcissa likes to slum it on the Knight Bus during the summer months when all those delectable boys are out of Hogwarts. At least, I think that's what's going on; it's all Ern pov. Cw: underage
Anything to Hide (T, 1.1k) - love this Harry/Teddy, superb 1st person POV, pining Harry, so much UST and longing I can barely breathe, plus a hopeful ending!
Harry struggles to be a good godfather on the 9 3/4. Cw: underage
Afterimage (E, 1.7k) - LQT made me see Ginny/Ron in a whole new light with Where Does It Hurt? and Afterimage just intensified the blow with unexpected devastation and melancholy. There’s heat, desperation and heartbreak all mixed with the irresistible wrongness of it all, yum!
Ron comes home drunk (again); Ginny takes care of him. Again. Cw: incest, drunk sex
90 Seconds (E, 1.8k) - sweet and delicious Harry/Teddy est relationship, I am obsessed with this playful Teddy teasing Harry in front of everyone! So very tender, extra bonus points for hot metamorphmagus sex!!!
It's Harry's birthday, and Teddy has teased him one too many times.

This is their dance. This is their push and pull. This is how they move through life: Testing the people that purport to love them. Filling in the gaps. Looking for what's missing. Picking up the pieces. And what a fucking hot piece Draco has found in Teddy.

In which Sirius is horny, Remus is scandalized, Harry is sort of caught in the middle, and everyone else is oblivious. Happy Christmas! Cw: underage
Like Love Itself (E, 5.3k) - superb angsty Al/James that hits me right in the feels. The devotion! The yearning! A sexy, tender and melancholy look into the tragedy that is falling in love with the one you love the most, a story only made possible due to LQT’s heartfelt and delicate writing.
Albus has spent his whole life chasing after James. It never occurred to him James might want to be caught.

Thiam Starter Kit
Tumblr media
Here is a short and sweet starter kit , 3 author, of fics I would recommend to literally anyone, not just Thiam shippers, to get you into the wonderful ship that it Thiam! I included, the number of chapters, words and the status of each fic because those things are always something I like to know personally, but if you don’t care ignore them lol!! I hope you enjoy!
To start: What is Thiam? Thiam is the ship name for Liam Dunbar and Theo Raeken in the Teen Wolf fandom.
Is Thiam canon? Technically Thiam is not cannon, but there is a lot of speculation that it was either intended to be or should be. Lots of fans see a lot of sexual and emotional tension and chemistry between the two characters and I would say I have to agree. People tend to write Liam as bi and Theo as either bi or gay. I personally see both characters written in the show as bi, along with Stiles.
Now lets get into the recommendations!
Of course there is the classic: Airplanes by Captianmintyfresh
Author’s summary: After the Anuk-ite and the hunters are dealt with Liam needs a break. Cue Theo and a road trip that Liam should know better than to think will be peaceful.
Status: Complete            Chapters: 43/43             Words: 236,875
Airplanes has also been translated:
Translation into Español available: Airplanes (Versión en Español) by mariasyko
Translation into Русский available: Airplanes by lissara22
This Author has also written: Sweet talking
Author’s summary: The five times Theo gets jealous and chases people from Liam's house and the one time he doesn't have to.
Status: Complete            Chapters: 6/6            Words: 28,734
Captianmintyfresh has about 20 other Teen Wolf fan fictions as well has fics in other fandoms, and has recently updated their AO3! I would genuinely recommend anything they have written!
Secondly, I would recommend basically anything by fallingforboys
My top 3 fics they have written are:
don't you know i can't lose you (your heartbeat is my lullaby)
Author’s summary: Liam’s chest moves up and down steadily as Theo cleans up the dried red stains and Theo can’t stop himself and just gives in, lies his palm flat against the beta’s skin and watches his hand move up and down in sync with Liam’s breaths, feels the gentle thud of Liam’s heart in the tips of his fingers.
Note: I can never find good hurt Liam, protective Theo fics and this one is so good, if anyone else has a good recommendation for this kind of thing let me know!
Status: Complete            Chapters: 1/1           Words: 3,162
even before you touched me, i belonged to you (all you had to do was look at me)
Author’s summary: The first time Liam does it, Theo snatches his hand back immediately.
Note: this one is literally so fucking cute I can’t even breath!!!!
Status: Complete            Chapters: 1/1           Words: 13,955
whisper your gossamer truths into the shadow, maybe you'll find the answers you're searching for
Author’s summary: Theo used to always be in control, used to be able to switch from his animalistic, ruthless side to his stoic facade in a blink of an eye—it used to be second nature. It was, after all, how he had almost broken up the McCall pack last year. But then the pack took him by surprise, broke his expectations—evidently even the McCall pack could be cruel sometimes—and had sent him to hell. And all the training, all the sleepless nights Theo had spent being forced to learn how to hide, slipped out of his fingers. Because apparently, there were some things that made you forget what it was like to be in control, and getting your heart ripped out over and over and over until you forgot what it felt like to not feel an ache in your chest was one of those things.
Status: Complete            Chapters: 5/5           Words: 24,118
Lastly I want to recommend: WordsLeftUnspoken
Genuinely one of my favorite fics of all time is: What It Means to Stay Alive
Author’s summary: Dangerous characters from Theo’s past arrive in Beacon Hills and want him dead. Liam is seriously not okay with this plan; especially since they seem hell-bent on slaughtering a group of supernaturals along with him. The beta’s in charge while Scott is gone, and no way is this going down on his watch. But if Theo and Liam want to stop the assassins and not be consumed by the passion, blood, and darkness that surrounds them, they’re going to need each other.
Set after 6x16, but the Hunter situation is ignored/on hold. Contains dual perspectives that will switch throughout chapters. Eventual E (Trust me. I’ve written the chapter. It gets there.)
Status: Complete            Chapters: 10/10          Words: 70,139
Note because I have to: This one is actually fucking amazing! I have read it probably two or three times which I never do! Soooooo good!
There is also: Afterglow
Author’s summary: Finally. The chaos has been quieted; the threats resolved. Long suppressed words have been revealed, and secrets confessed. Both Theo and Liam have laid their souls bare for each other, marveling at the effects of giving in to who they truly want. But it’s easier to breathe whispers in the darkness of the night, and like it or not, daybreak will always arrive with tomorrow just around the corner. How long can they stay lost in each other before the world catches up?
Can be read as a multi-chapter epilogue to What It Means to Stay Alive, outlining the weekend that follows the final chapter. I’ll add more tags as I go because I don’t want to spoil anything. Will have alternating perspectives throughout the chapters as usual, and ratings will also jump around.
Status: Not Complete(?)            Chapters: 3/4        Words: 22,301

Hi. I’m curious. What did you mean by “women who read fiction might get Bad Ideas!!!” has just reached its latest and stupidest form via tumblr purity culture.? I haven’t seen any of this but I’m new to tumblr.
Oh man. You really want to get me into trouble on, like, my first day back, don’t you?
Pretty much all of this has been explained elsewhere by people much smarter than me, so this isn’t necessarily going to say anything new, but I’ll do my best to synthesize and summarize it. As ever, it comes with the caveat that it is my personal interpretation, and is not intended as the be-all, end-all. You’ll definitely run across it if you spend any time on Tumblr (or social media in general, including Twitter, and any other fandom-related spaces). This will get long.
In short: in the nineteenth century, when Gothic/romantic literature became popular and women were increasingly able to read these kinds of novels for fun, there was an attendant moral panic over whether they, with their weak female brains, would be able to distinguish fiction from reality, and that they might start making immoral or inappropriate choices in their real life as a result. Obviously, there was a huge sexist and misogynistic component to this, and it would be nice to write it off entirely as just hysterical Victorian pearl-clutching, but that feeds into the “lol people in the past were all much stupider than we are today” kind of historical fallacy that I often and vigorously shut down. (Honestly, I’m not sure how anyone can ever write the “omg medieval people believed such weird things about medicine!” nonsense again after what we’ve gone through with COVID, but that is a whole other rant.) The thinking ran that women shouldn’t read novels for fear of corrupting their impressionable brains, or if they had to read novels at all, they should only be the Right Ones: i.e., those that came with a side of heavy-handed and explicit moralizing so that they wouldn’t be tempted to transgress. Of course, books trying to hammer their readers over the head with their Moral Point aren’t often much fun to read, and that’s not the point of fiction anyway. Or at least, it shouldn’t be.
Fast-forward to today, and the entire generation of young, otherwise well-meaning people who have come to believe that being a moral person involves only consuming the “right” kind of fictional content, and being outrageously mean to strangers on the internet who do not agree with that choice. There are a lot of factors contributing to this. First, the advent of social media and being subject to the judgment of people across the world at all times has made it imperative that you demonstrate the “right” opinions to fit in with your peer-group, and on fandom websites, that often falls into a twisted, hyper-critical, so-called “progressivism” that diligently knows all the social justice buzzwords, but has trouble applying them in nuance, context, and complicated real life. To some extent, this obviously is not a bad thing. People need to be critical of the media they engage with, to know what narratives the creator(s) are promoting, the tropes they are using, the conclusions that they are supporting, and to be able to recognize and push back against genuinely harmful content when it is produced – and this distinction is critical – by professional mainstream creators. Amateur, individual fan content is another kettle of fish. There is a difference between critiquing a professional creator (though social media has also made it incredibly easy to atrociously abuse them) and attacking your fellow fan and peer, who is on the exact same footing as you as a consumer of that content.
Obviously, again, this doesn’t mean that you can’t call out people who are engaging in actually toxic or abusive behavior, fans or otherwise. But certain segments of Tumblr culture have drained both those words (along with “gaslighting”) of almost all critical meaning, until they’re applied indiscriminately to “any fictional content that I don’t like, don’t agree with, or which doesn’t seem to model healthy behavior in real life” and “anyone who likes or engages with this content.” Somewhere along the line, a reactionary mindset has been formed in which the only fictional narratives or relationships are those which would be “acceptable” in real life, to which I say…. what? If I only wanted real life, I would watch the news and only read non-fiction. Once again, the underlying fear, even if it’s framed in different terms, is that the people (often women) enjoying this content can’t be trusted to tell the difference between fiction and reality, and if they like “problematic” fictional content, they will proceed to seek it out in their real life and personal relationships. And this is just… not true.
As I said above, critical media studies and thoughtful consumption of entertainment are both great things! There have been some great metas written on, say, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how it is increasingly relying on villains who have outwardly admirable motives (see: the Flag Smashers in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) who are then stigmatized by their anti-social, violent behavior and attacks on innocent people, which is bad even as the heroes also rely on violence to achieve their ends. This is a clever way to acknowledge social anxieties – to say that people who identify with the Flag Smashers are right, to an extent, but then the instant they cross the line into violence, they’re upsetting the status quo and need to be put down by the heroes. I watched TFATWS and obviously enjoyed it. I have gone on a Marvel re-watching binge recently as well. I like the MCU! I like the characters and the madcap sci-fi adventures! But I can also recognize it as a flawed piece of media that I don’t have to accept whole-cloth, and to be able to criticize some of the ancillary messages that come with it. It doesn’t have to be black and white.
When it comes to shipping, moreover, the toxic culture of “my ship is better than your ship because it’s Better in Real Life” ™ is both well-known and in my opinion, exhausting and pointless. As also noted, the whole point of fiction is that it allows us to create and experience realities that we don’t always want in real life. I certainly enjoy plenty of things in fiction that I would definitely not want in reality: apocalyptic space operas, violent adventures, and yes, garbage men. A large number of my ships over the years have been labeled “unhealthy” for one reason or another, presumably because they don’t adhere to the stereotype of the coffee-shop AU where there’s no tension and nobody ever makes mistakes or is allowed to have serious flaws. And I’m not even bagging on coffee-shop AUs! Some people want to remove characters from a violent situation and give them that fluff and release from the nonstop trauma that TV writers merrily inflict on them without ever thinking about the consequences. Fanfiction often focuses on the psychology and healing of characters who have been through too much, and since that’s something we can all relate to right now, it’s a very powerful exercise. As a transformative and interpretive tool, fanfic is pretty awesome.
The problem, again, comes when people think that fic/fandom can only be used in this way, and that going the other direction, and exploring darker or complicated or messy dynamics and relationships, is morally bad. As has been said before: shipping is not activism. You don’t get brownie points for only having “healthy” ships (and just my personal opinion as a queer person, these often tend to be heterosexual white ships engaging in notably heteronormative behavior) and only supporting behavior in fiction that you think is acceptable in real life. As we’ve said, there is a systematic problem in identifying what that is. Ironically, for people worried about Women Getting Ideas by confusing fiction and reality, they’re doing the same thing, and treating fiction like reality. Fiction is fiction. Nobody actually dies. Nobody actually gets hurt. These people are not real. We need to normalize the idea of characters as figments of a creator’s imagination, not actual people with their own agency. They exist as they are written, and by the choice of people whose motives can be scrutinized and questioned, but they themselves are not real. Nor do characters reflect the author’s personal views. Period.
This feeds into the fact that the internet, and fandom culture, is not intended as a “safe space” in the sense that no questionable or triggering content can ever be posted. Archive of Our Own, with its reams of scrupulous tagging and requests for you to explicitly click and confirm that you are of age to see M or E-rated content, is a constant target of the purity cultists for hosting fictional material that they see as “immoral.” But it repeatedly, unmistakably, directly asks you for your consent to see this material, and if you then act unfairly victimized, well… that’s on you. You agreed to look at this, and there are very few cases where you didn’t know what it entailed. Fandom involves adults creating contents for adults, and while teenagers and younger people can and do participate, they need to understand this fact, rather than expecting everything to be a PG Disney movie.
When I do write my “dark” ships with garbage men, moreover, they always involve a lot of the man being an idiot, being bluntly called out for an idiot, and learning healthier patterns of behavior, which is one of the fundamental patterns of romance novels. But they also involve an element of the woman realizing that societal standards are, in fact, bullshit, and she can go feral every so often, as a treat. But even if I wrote them another way, that would still be okay! There are plenty of ships and dynamics that I don’t care for and don’t express in my fic and fandom writing, but that doesn’t mean I seek out the people who do like them and reprimand them for it. I know plenty of people who use fiction, including dark fiction, in a cathartic way to process real-life trauma, and that’s exactly the role – one of them, at least – that fiction needs to be able to fulfill. It would be terribly boring and limited if we were only ever allowed to write about Real Life and nothing else. It needs to be complicated, dark, escapist, unreal, twisted, and whatever else. This means absolutely zilch about what the consumers of this fiction believe, act, or do in their real lives.
Once more, I do note the misogyny underlying this. Nobody, after all, seems to care what kind of books or fictional narratives men read, and there’s no reflection on whether this is teaching them unhealthy patterns of behavior, or whether it predicts how they’ll act in real life. (There was some of that with the “do video games cause mass shootings?”, but it was a straw man to distract from the actual issues of toxic masculinity and gun culture.) Certain kinds of fiction, especially historical fiction, romance novels, and fanfic, are intensely gendered and viewed as being “women’s fiction” and therefore hyper-criticized, while nobody’s asking if all the macho-man potboiler military-intrigue tough-guy stereotypical “men’s fiction” is teaching them bad things. So the panic about whether your average woman on the internet is reading dark fanfic with an Unhealthy Ship (zomgz) is, in my opinion, misguided at best, and actively destructive at worst.
