Planning gifts for my dad on Father’s Day is like impossible bc if you get him anything too expensive he will just . Not use it. Like it will just sit there as a trophy of some sorts and he’ll be too scared to use it so we have to budget it wisely so that it’s nice but not even remotely expensive or his ass is never gonna find use in it 😭😭😭

#riv rambles #we got him a perfume the other year #it was super nice #ysl and smells great #I think he’s used it maybe 3 times total in a year #only for extremely fancy occasions #AND WE GET ONTO HIM LIKE WHY #he goes: if it runs out I’ll be sad :(#OH MY GOD BRO PLS JUST USE IT #and it’s so sad bc we go all out for my mom #and she eats it up #happily awaits the Mother’s Day presents #so our budget is way higher BC SHE ACTUALLY USES IT #and then our dad….. 😭 THE BUDGET IS SO SAD IN COMPARISON BC #OTHERWISE HE WILL NEVER TOUCH IT #idk it just makes me feel bad every year bc it feels like we have a favorite parent #BUT RLY MY DAD IS JUST ODD 😭#anyway our solution is an Amazon gift card #he’s an Amazon addict he’ll be very happy #BUT IT FEELS VERY UNDERWHELMING IN COMPARISON TO MOTHERS DAY #but ig the thought is what counts #anyway that’s my rant for now #it took us 45 minutes of collective brainstorming to figure this out #we had to put together every last brain cell #nothing tells you that u don’t know what ur dad likes the way Father’s Day does 💀💀💀
