HotD Headcanons pt 2 :)

Hey everyone! Here is the sort of part 2 of my hotd headcanons list! I posted Aemond and Aegon separately because I just had too many ideas for them to put all into one thing. But this one will include some for Helaena, Alicent, Rhaenyra, and the rest of the boys! Hope y'all enjoy! :)

Alicent:

Definitely a cat person over a dog person. Was a little hesitant at first but after Helaena got her cat, she was all in. It’s her grand baby 

Her and Rhaenyra grew up together, Alicent had a small crush on her when they were younger. Although she never really acknowledged it as a crush, and thought of it more so as admiration. 

Prefers white wine over red, but loves a good rose. 

Stress cleans to the max!! Similar to Aemond and his smoking, it helps her think through things. When she’s got a lot on her mind you’ll find her reorganizing the bookshelf or the spice cabinet.

Definitely does wine nights with her girlfriends, her and Rhaenyra started it cause they needed to vent about their men 😭

Rhaenyra:

Was a barbie girl growing up

Can make a really good Sangria, idk but I get the vibe she can make a good one. She also prefers red wine over white. But will never say no to champagne

Makes Daemon get his own closet, cause she’s a fashion icon and needs room for all her outfits, shoes, etc… as she should though…

Daemon:

Every year for Rhaenyra’s birthday he tries to bake a lemon cake for her. He always waits until she goes to bed the night before, and he tries to bake it in the early hours of the morning. He’s not too successful though… He set the fire alarm off at 5am before waking the whole house up. And once he did salt instead of sugar. But he knows she loves lemon anything, so he figured he’d still give it a shot.

Jace:

A white claw man, and often says “ain’t no laws while drinking claws”. He also hopes that this will make him seem cool to Aegon. 

Would name the family dog some kind of pun, like Otto Von BisBark. (my high school history teacher named his dog that and I think it’s so good)

He’s got Lab dog energy. He’s a sweetie and just wants to impress people, and make his family proud. Even though he’s a little clumsy, or can be temperamental, he just wants what's best.

Luke is his best friend

Luke:

Still sleeps with a stuffed animal dragon Daemon and Rhaenyra got him as a baby 

Luke, Daemon and Jace make a powerpoint trying to convince Rhaenyra that they need to get a dog. Since Jace works at the animal shelter he gets to see all the newcomers! 

Besties with Jace, but he games a lot with Aegon, so somehow he’s a close second.

Helaena:

Has a pet cat, but something a little bizarre. She’d have a sphynx or maybe an shorthair, the ones with the big Dobby ears. 

At the grocery store, she gets the cans with dents in them, or the slightly bruised fruits because she feels bad that they'll get thrown out. 

Really wants to leash train her cat. I mean how cool would it be to walk around campus with your cat on a leash?!

Thread on the hairstyles of everyone in FMN because why not?

Starting off strong (get it?) we have Jace who’ve I’ve granted grace and given a nice standard haircut. Anything too short is a no for him and mullets give the guy war flashbacks so this is his comfort look.

Out of all the Stark men his hair is the least curly, more wavy than anything but if he grew it out there would be a lot more bounce to it. Thankfully he’s kept up with the family tradition and decided to retain some nice length. Whenever Baela’s board she cornrows it just to see how red his scalp will turn from irritation.

One time she posted her work to twitter but made sure to let everyone know he’s legally biracial so it’s fine.

Next in we have baby Joffrey who’s hair is the curliest out of both his brothers plus Harwin. Its got some natural highlights and is very bouncy. The kid loves his hair even though he likes to act as if it’s whatever and hides the dozens of haircare products beneath the bathroom sink. He’s a shea-moister and curling cream junkie but don’t let him hear you say it because he’ll deny, deny, deny and insist his hair just looks like that fresh out of bed. Not his fault he’s gods favorite.

One time he posted a thirst trap to his story while his hair was wet as he was straight out of the shower because he finally added a girl he’d been crushing on to his close friends. Sadly, he forgot his sister’s were in his close friends as well which led to him getting screen shotted and made fun of 😔

Mama Rhaenyra! Ugh, her hair is everything, very reminiscent of the stereotypical 90’s bombshell. Think Anna Nicole Smith but Pamala Anderson whenever she goes for an updo.

Nyra keeps her hair around shoulder length but will grow it out a few inches in the winter/fall before going back to the salon to get some length cut off because she misses the bob. Loves hairspray like its her best friend and thinks dry shampoo is the holy grail of all hair products. The love this woman has for her hair was passed on through Joffrey and everyone knows it.

She’ll cry and be down in the dumps for the rest of the day if her salon trip leaves her with harsher layers than she wanted (me too babes, me too)

Rhaena said she was serving cunt once after getting some minor highlights + a blowout and hasn’t stopped smiling since.

Laena! What can I say? She’s a simple woman.

Her hair is always giving effortless but takes a bunch of time and heavy maintenance. Its the perfect combo between that messy running across the beach look while still very glamorous. She isn’t big on big brands or factory made products like some people… so her main hair care items are water based, all natural things like olive oil and rice water, and only applies heat every once in a blue moon. The last time an actual hair dryer ever touched her hair was when the twins were still in middle school.

Very simple woman when it comes to styles, likes a pretty low bun with a few strands pulled in front of her face and if she’s feeling adventurous will clip on a faux bang that she styled to match her hair since she’s too afraid to commit to cutting real ones. (Again, me too.)

Baela is my favorite because I’m a sucker for women with short hair. No woman has ever looked ugly with short hair and thats that.

Baela has never cared for long hair mainly because she’s a sports girl so its very hot. Plus she can’t keep a hair tie for shit, you could buy her a pack of 100 elastic hair ties and they’d all go missing in a month tops. Another reason she rather keep it shaved down is because its not as much hassle, however she’ll have her moments where she chooses to grow it out because she loves the 90’s Halle Berry and Nia Long vibe that comes with short hair on the longer side when its all styled up.

Currently her hair looks closer to the style on the left but will prob go back to something similar to the cut on the right soon.

There’s three celebs that I’m always compared to. People usually tell me I look like Anne Hathaway, that’s who most people say I look like. And I have to agree, it really is uncanny. I’ve also been compared to Krysten Ritter, who is the actress that plays Jessica Jones. And I hate this next one but I have also been told I look like Emma Roberts. 😭😭 As I’ve said before, I do not like her, lol. But I guess looking like her physically isn’t that bad. We look more similar when she has brown hair, like when she was playing Brooke in AHS. 

As for personal style, I have a very mixed aesthetic. I wear a lot of black clothes but I always make sure to add something with bright colors too. Or something that stands out. It definitely does have a rock (and roll) vibe to it, though. Very much a sort of 'rockstar gf' look. I make sure to wear lots of accessories, too.

And for my hairstyle, I have really long hair with curtain bangs. Sort of like this one but a little less messy.

everytime i see ling tongs dw9 design i feel like i won in the lottery cuz his design is so good i love it so much. long rant cringe incoming

it has dw5 vibes but more evolved and the colors go so hard too... and i like how its slimmer overall which fits his weapon (much more than 8 fit the 3 section staff, i love that outfit too cuz it looks so cozy and warm and hes toasty in his scarf and sweater paws. but it doesnt fit his move set using his legs it feels too bulky for that like getting in the way?) the other outfit i didnt like much (the colors clash so much like the pink green purple and dark blue? :/ bad palette) but then the samurai armor dlc was so good (and matching with gan nings which added 3 more years to my life. like when i saw the list before the release i was pogging when i saw that they both have a different description from others but same between each another)

i was so worried before the dw9 design reveals cuz theres always some letdowns and i was fully bracing for them to cut his hair short or come up with something not fitting him like the dw7 draft.. but those madmen made his hair twice as long i was winning and the outfit was an instant fave like my most fav was 8 then i just immediately pushed it aside. make room for 9 this is the best

i wonder what they cook up for 10 if its coming, if and when its coming..., i hope they introduce alternates/dlc too cuz more designs more fun.. i just dont know what they could do next so im just gonna hope it wont be shite but like i think i would live if they changed up his hair but its like some characters can go thru big changes but others have a more singular look so its just about lenght here. his ponytail is so cute i want them to keep it 😭 i also think if they changed his weapon they would probably be inclined to go with the armor-y look they drafted before which doesnt fit much imo, id rather have something similar to the current design but maybe with wider sleeves thats cute, and fingerless gloves!!!! please. and the long hair with middle part or side part im praying 🙏🧎

also i gotta mention gan ning here cuz he went thru a few hairstyles and i gotta say it was also a letdown that while they just reused his dw8 hair for 9, they cut off his mullet! which is my most fave thing! especially how its slightly darker at the longest part.. like man... cant have shit in the three kingdoms (i joke that what they cut off they gave to ling tong [insert after surgery meme wheres gan ning? who do you think gave you the extra hair])

but like for him idc what color or style they do, like surprise me but give him a mullet its funney and give him earrings/piercings and more bells. thats my base in the pyramid of needs like idk why they went with just one bell in the final design since the drafts had more (and also a really cool hairstyle) also remove the stupidass feathers (its nice in 8 kinda cuz more subtle and still keeps the feathers included somehow but i also loved how they just pinned them to his butt in 7 and also how over the top it was in 6 though those are like rooster feathers not goose lmaobut also idk where i read about him being connected to crows so its nice theyre black. also thinking about how one artist used to just draw him without them. boss move. and how sometimes they dont load in 9 in game like the console also hates them lmao)

I got the tarot deck from a Kickstarter, they're by an artist called Bana! They're very pretty! Although, they're a bit big. I think the normal/glossy decks are smaller/the usual size. But I saw the word 'holographic' and I couldn't resist. It was like I was having a flashback to collecting shiny trading cards as a kid. So, now I have to shuffle them with the widest hand stretch known to man. But it's worth it~!

I absolutely love the polaroid flip books. These ones hold 96 pcs each. The only thing is that if you have baseball card or Japanese sleeves they won’t fit - just a hair too big. But I found American Standard sleeves (56x87mm) work perfectly — Ryker and Ultra Pro both make good, sturdy ones in that size (I prefer DragonShield but couldn’t find the right size V_V).

Kpop is such a money drain, you’re entirely right. And I just learned OnlyOneOf is finally putting out a nightstick. Super excited but please I need to save money (I also need to get Ateez’s summer phonebook but I might wait until my friend gets hers in - she bought two and is selling one so I might snag that instead since I don’t need the pobs.) I finally got the blue and yellow Movements in, so my Ateez albums are complete — now just need to hunt for pcs for each of the albums.

I love holographic cards lbvs - they are so pretty - I may look and see if there’s a way to get them in the US now that the kickstarter has ended 🤔 And yes! They have a TNG one - which is the one I want, TNG and DS9 are my two favorite series; and they also apparently have a TOS one.
