the touring industry still hasn’t recovered from covid-19 and i don’t think people fully realize that
#and like obviously covid is still a very prevalent part of our lives and it’s stupid to think otherwise#but it COMPLETELY changed the industry outside of just the illness itself#it changed the culture (we spent a whole year inside on our phones missing out now it’s terrifying to think you’ll miss the shot of a concer#t) due to the rise of tiktok there’s an entitlement complex#so many artists cancelled tours lost their livelihoods and NEED touring and as such some people feel like them paying for a ticket#people feel owed to the artist#financially no one wants to pay big bucks so shows cost less which leads to people not knowing what certain shows should be priced#(warning tayllr swift’s pricing will not be too expensive it’s priced correctly)#smaller venues and outdoor venues to mitigate covid exposure means standing room only means camping#and like SOOOOO many other things have changed as a complete result of covid#and unless you regularly went to concerts pre covid you don’t know the difference or the concert#etiquette because there hasn’t been any.#every aspect of the pandemic changed the concert industry and it’s honestly sad and i wish people would educate themselves on it#and listen to artists and others fans in regards to it#anyway this is just something i’ve been thinking a LOT about especially with taylor swift going on tour#and stupid things i’ve seen some people say in regards to that concert#industry and it just… yeah#eris: text
