I figured out the mimic Gregory twist pretty early on I mean the biggest hint was that he never talked in Gregory mannerisms but the reveal was cool too bad the actual chase sequence is short, easy and you kill it in such an unsatisfactory way by pressing a big red button
My thoughts exactly!
I actually think this is one of the instances where the child protagonist really works for the game, because an issue in horror and mystery games is often finding yourself frustrated with the protagonist for not realizing something obvious.
But here...Cassie is a KID trying to help her friend. So I didn't find myself frustrated with her at all for not realizing the voice wasn't Gregory even though I knew immediately it wasn't him.
And despite the "It's not actually him" twist being obvious there were other moments I liked. Such as the voice sounding more robotic and stitched together once you can hear "him" more clearly. Or the mimic using voicelines like "the stupid door won't open" from the main game.
But then they ruin it with those unsatisfactory endings 😭
