i came out at work a while back and today had a kind of uncomfortable conversation with my boss who didn’t understand that gender identity and sexual orientation are two separate things and asked me to clarify what my sexual orientation is and uuugggh i hated it.

now i feel really weird and question if anyone at all gets what i mean when i tell them i’m genderqueer and nonbinary

Yes, Tatum is an abortion provider, and as a rape/pregnancy/birth trauma advocate, she's pretty passionate about aftercare (something America SUCKS at), physical and mental health. She has developed incredible working relationships with local therapists and LPCs to get women the care they deserve. The only problem: insurance companies. Patients don't have to take what she's offering, but she's willing to fight to ensure that they feel supported.

She's had to deal with protestors outside of her clinic and at various speaking engagements about the subject. But luckily, Boston is fairly open and pro-Choice.

That is so scary! I don't understand the whole bombing abortion clinics and_or abortion providers. I feel like you destroy your entire argument in the simple act.

My first femslash ship was a crappy telenovela pairing. I was twelve. I was so afraid that my abusive, homophobic father is going to walk into the room and beat the hell out of me for watching this telenovela that I used to wake up at 3 AM just so I can watch the reruns. We had an old happy lesbian couple living in the neighborhood. My father told me that they're disgusting freaks. I was so scared that there was something wrong with me. This telenovela made me realize that my father was wrong.

thx for sharing. i had a similar experience when i was 15. my point was tho that sg fails to portray the complexities of lesbian relationships. and yeah they have some telenovela, romcom and awkward absurdities amongst other parts and form and i wanna see that. but i guess the problem here is that mainstream media still can’t accept more than one LGBT couple in one tv show and isn’t willing to leave the trails of heterosexist and cliché pictures and portraying the characters. 

(myself hates coming out arcs because coming out exists only because straight people and society in general are homo_transphobic shitnuts. straight people need this to widen their perspective and perceptions, to question their assumptions, to validate and respect queer people as if we need them to validate and respect us being / identifying as other than straight and_or cis. in case of alex i mostly liked although it was too rushed...)

fukgn relatable i'm nonbinary as they come and totally not attracted to men and would (like to) call myself a lesbian although i don't want to exclude other enbys and_or position myself as female. (it's just easier than constantly dissecting my entire identity and explaining nonbinary and panromantic as terms)
