Bullets-Carl Grimes x Male Reader 2
Previous - Next
Y/n had spent three days alone out there. Running for his life, running away from danger, never stopping to kill a walker in his way. He just ran. During those three exhausting days before the barn he knew, he knew it was his fault. He was the reason his Mother and Father got torn to shreds, and he would never forgive himself for that.
"It's my fault! They're gone because of me. I'm the reason we got kicked out so its my fault that they're dead." He cried, his tears running down his face.
"No, no, no don't say that. It isn't your fault." Andrea said. She kneeled down and comforted the young boy.
"Did you say kicked out? Who kicked you out? And for what?" Hershel asked.
"I c-can't tell you. If I do you'll definitely get rid of me." He sniffled.
"It's okay. You can tell us, we wont get rid of you." Hershel's voice was calm and sincere.
"Really?"
"Really"
Y/n's e/c eyes looked at the people around him and swallowed. "I-i. . . I like boys." He confessed, his voice was quiet but everyone there heard it. Andrea hugged the boy, her hands rubbing his back soothingly. She turned her head and looked at Rick and Shane. "We are not kicking him out." She said. Rick put a hand to his holster and gave her a nod.
"I'll take him to Lori. He can be with her and Carl while the rest of you deal with Randall." Rick put his hand on y/n's shoulder and led him away to the campsite.
"You stay here with Lori, okay. I promise we won't get rid of you." He reassures. Y/n gave a nod. He watched Rick walk away, once he left his line of sight he walked to where Lori was. Lori gave him a friendly smile and continued to do whatever she actually does. The person with her though peaked his interest, he was quiet for the most part and he was the only person who hasn't talked to y/n. Maggie was nice, T-dog was funny so is Glenn, and Dale was nice to be around even if you don't have anything to say. But Carl, Carl was a whole can of worms that you haven't seen yet.
He was barely older than you, but he gave off this demeanor that made it seem like he's lived his whole life in this apocalypse. So you can imagine his surprise when Carl sat next to him. There was an awkward silence at first, but as y/n continued to write in one of his many journals he noticed Carl looking at him every once in a while.
He thought this would go on for the rest of the time there but he heard Carl clear his throat. "So... What are the journals for?"
Y/n looked at him quizzically. "It's just a hobby. I just like to write about things." He answered quietly.
"I knew that, I heard you talking to Maggie earlier. I wanted to know about what you write about." Carl looked at the many books in y/n's bag. Seeing this the h/c-ette/blond took out five journals.
"This blue one is kind of like a diary, I write about what's happened to me in their. I just think that it'll be important one day, kind of like a record of our history. . ." y/n slowly flipped through the pages, it was evident in the pages that he's been writing in it way before the world ended.
"This red one is about plants and animals, it helped me survive out there. The yellow one has random stuff in it like how to build basic things like levers and chemistry. The black one is just more random stuff." Carl listened closely to what y/n said.
"And this leather one has all the stories of people i've met. It even has other things in their like how old they are and small details like that." Y/n smiled as he looked through the book. Every once in a while a photo of a person would appear, y/n's melancholy expression painted across his face.
"How did you get all of this? Its pretty cool and they look like you wrote them yourself." Carl pointed out.
"I didn't do it myself at first. Lots of people helped me with it." He explained. "They kept me safe, they taught me things, and they were. . .like family to me." Tears welled up in his eyes.
Carl frowned at y/n's sad expression. "Well your here now aren't you? We can be your new family now."
Y/n gave a sad smile as he wiped his tears away. "I wish you could. . . I like you guys. Your nice to me but. . . I won't live for long." Y/n gazed into the sunset.
"T-thats not true!" Carl grabbed his hand giving it a soft squeeze.
"But it is true Carl. . . your strong I can see that, I'm not. I got my parents killed; My mother died saving me all because I panicked."
"Then I'll protect you! I'll keep you safe."
"Thank you Carl but you shouldn't have to be my knight in shining armour."
"Then let's be friends first." Carl smiled.
"I'd like that" y/n smiled.
The moon was up, casting an eerie glow over the farm. Carl and y/n were sitting on the front steps while the adults were talking in the living room. They were quietly talking until Dale angrily left the house. Y/n quickly grabbed Carol's arm before she got away.
"What happened in there?"
Carol gave him a sad look before saying "It's nothing you need to worry yourself about."
Y/n unsatisfied with the answer hesitantly let go of Carol's arm and watched as everybody went their separate ways. Y/n turned to Carl. "Can I stay with you. . . I have a bad feeling that somethings going to happen." Carl gave him a nod and started walking to his tent.
It was calm and quiet, the moon was big and full in the night sky. It was peaceful. But it could only be peaceful for so long.
"AAGGHHH!!"

PenHero.com Feature Article:
Platinum Silver Engraved Leaf Pattern Fountain Pen c. 1930s
This is a Platinum silver hand engraved leaf pattern lever-fill fountain pen c. 1930s. Platinum’s design copies some of the identifying attributes of the Parker Vacumatic, including the arrow nib and arrow clip. The 14 karat gold filled clip, marked R 14 at the top, has PLATINUM stamped on a raised bar down the center of the arrow feathers, the primary difference from the Parker Vacumatic clip. The 14 karat gold nib has an arrow stamping identical to the Parker Vacumatic with 14K over PLATINUM over the Platinum logo. It’s a lever filler and with a silver lever. An identical pen is shown in Fountain Pens of Japan by Andreas Lambrou and Masamichi Sunami on page 295 with a silver clip that has no Platinum stamping. It’s not known if the clip on this pen is original to the pen or a replacement. The cap band is stamped with the Platinum company branding and PURE SILVER.
Read the story about this interesting pen here (or go to PenHero.com – top of page):

Performance Stats: 2022 (mainland edition)
Alright, it’s (no longer) that time of year again! Summary of all 2022 calendar year performances stats!! - This was a CRAZY year full of cross-production covers + emergency cover chaos so very fun to write up. It also made it a bit of a challenge with organization. If an actor was primarily with one production but served as an emergency cover for another, I listed them with their primary or initial production. - Yearly disclaimer that some errors and/or disparities could exist. - And as always, if you repost/use these stats anywhere, please credit me @sixcostumerefs (or six.costume.refs on Insta) And as always....a shoutout to Dionne Ward-Anderson, who featured in the largest number of performances this year, at a whopping 353 shows! I had a dream where I was playing this wild game. It was a fighting/racing/adventure type game but it had literally every video game character in history. I’m talking every single one, even just straight up cars. The game wants you to do the story where you start out by picking one of the oldest video game characters, which are the only ones unlocked at this point. They are in their original style so they’re all pixels. As you progress through the game’s story, you go through the years of gaming. You watch as the graphics change, characters get updated looks, and more characters are added to the roster. The cool thing is that older characters with multiple designs would be given the option of which design you wanted to play as. Want to play as Mario but specifically Mario from Mario 64 or The NES era? You got it! The game had different arenas for fighting from every year and series of games, same goes for the race tracks. Imagine fighting as the Hollow Knight against tf2’s solider, GTA: San Andreas’ Big Smoke, as well as Q*bert. Personally the races were the funniest part because you could be racing on rainbow road from the wii, while driving a car from a for a game, racing against a fucking bus from a frogger game. Shit was wild. The story was kinda neat too in how it worked. You could make a team of 20 different characters to help you get through levels, they could help defeat enemies, pull levers or solve puzzles, etc etc. Al though if you were looking at the map and decided to travel somewhere different and one of your teammates ran into a enemy on the map, you were forced to play as said character and defeat the enemy in either a race or fight. According to the dream the story mode was infinite and supposedly told the future of gaming, the further along the game you got the more you would learn about games that aren’t released yet, let alone have been thought of yet. But the game gets more and more difficult as you progress so it’s extremely hard to pass the current year’s level, almost impossible. Either way it was a very chaotic game that in my dream was a Wii game for some reason, and I absolutely loved playing it. Until my brother decided to eject the CD while I was playing because “it’s a boring game and he wanted to watch a movie” which is when I yelled at him that he can’t just eject someone’s game while their gaming. He gets all pissed off and starts bad mouthing me and the game and I punch him square in the face, only to wake up seconds afterward. But damn that game was wild and absolutely beautiful with the blending of every different game graphic over the years.

Yknow, I often say “I’ve played a LOT of racing games these past few years!” but never actually bothered to check the numbers. I do literally have a list of (nearly) all games I’ve played since 2021 so let’s check that out!
- Grand Theft Auto V (car game it counts) - art of rally - Racing Lagoon (fuck, that was 2021???) - Horizon Chase Turbo - Forza Horizon 5 - The Simpsons: Road Rage - Everywhere Road Trip - Mario Kart 64 - Gran Turismo - L.A. Noire (does that count? not really that much of a car game... then again it’s a car CHASE game so...) - Lonely Mountains Downhill (does THAT count??? oh I never said it needed to be cars.) - Enduro - Choro-Q (HG4) - Cars - Forza Horizon 4 - The Pointless Car Chase - Slipstream - Ridge Racers 2 - Far Cry 5 (doesn’t count because cars really are just a transportation method more than a core mechanic imo like even when ur doing important stuff in the car its stuff youd be doing outside the car anyway. but I’m mentioning so that you all know that when you use the handbrake there’s a fucking animation for it. your guy moves their hand to the handbrake and it makes a handbrake lever noise. I don’t think even forza does that) - Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam - Test Drive Unlimited - Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero - Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2 - Need for Speed Heat - auto modellista - R4 Ridge Racer Type 4 - Need for Speed Underground 2 - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Hot Wheels Unleashed - F355 Challenge - Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - Street Supremacy - Assetto Corsa - Turbo Dismount (?) - Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed - Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing - Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed - Enthusia Professional Racing - Gran Turismo 2 - Absolute Drift - The Long Drive - Inertial Drift - Ridge Racer - Initial D Special Stage - OutRun 2 SP - Midnight Club 3 - Gran Turismo (PSP) - Circuit Superstars
excluding Far Cry 5, that’s 47 games. that’s not even including some stuff I played in 2020 that isn’t here. that’s not even including Gadget Racers, which for some reason wasn’t listed. what on earth is wrong with me

Christian Horner rejected Ferrari offer to clear way for Fred Vasseur arrival as team principal
Christian Horner REJECTED an offer from Ferrari to replace Mattia Binotto as team principal - with the Red Bull chief not interested in a change of scenery... clearing the way for Fred Vasseur to take on Formula One's poisoned chalice By Jonathan McEvoy for the Daily Mail Published: 17:31 EST, 13 December 2022 | Updated: 17:31 EST, 13 December 2022 Christian Horner rejected the chance to become team principal of Ferrari, leaving the way clear on Tuesday for Frenchman Fred Vasseur to pick up Formula One’s most poisoned chalice. Sportsmail can confirm Red Bull boss Horner was approached by the Scuderia, who were keen to lever him away from the reigning world championship team he has run since 2005, to replace Mattia Binotto who ‘resigned’ last month. Although the Englishman is the sport’s longest-serving team principal he did not fancy a change of scene, certainly not at Ferrari’s Maranello HQ. A source close to the discussions said: ‘There is too much politics below the surface at Ferrari. Too many egos. If someone starts succeeding, someone else pulls him down.’  Christian Horner rejected chance to become Ferrari team principal, Sportsmail can confirm Horner last week welcomed 30-year-old Red Bull company heir Mark Mateschitz — who inherited his father Dietrich’s £25billion fortune when he died in October — to the factory in Milton Keynes as they planned the future. Vasseur was announced yesterday morning as the new Ferrari team principal. He moves from Sauber, where results gave no hint he would be high on any big team’s wanted list. The appointment strengthens No 1 driver Charles Leclerc, who developed a good relationship with the engineer, 54, when he drove for him in GP3 and Formula Two. Horner's rejection paved the way for Fred Vasseur to take Formula One's poisoned chalice Ferrari were in need of a new team principal following the resignation of Mattia Binotto Vasseur, the Scuderia’s first non-Italian boss since 2007, takes over on January 9, charged with putting an end to their strategy flaws on and off track. McLaren’s Andreas Seidl slides over to take up the vacated position at Sauber, albeit in a super-charged role to oversee Audi’s entry there in 2026. Seidl will be replaced by Italian Andrea Stella, executive racing director at McLaren since 2019.
