In Slavic folklore, Perun is god of thunder, lightning, justice and war. As early as the 6th century, he was mentioned in "De Bello Gothico", a historical source written by the Eastern Roman historian Procopius. A short note describing beliefs of a certain South Slavic tribe states they "aknowledge that one god, creator of lightning, is the only lord of all: to him do they sacrifice an ox and all sacificial animals".

Cậu bé Andrey,3 tuổi, và em trai Maksim, 2 tuổi, sống lay lắt suốt một tuần với những người lang thang và người say rượu ở Zaporizhia, miền nam Ukraine.

Cha mẹ của hai bé đưa các em tới trại và bỏ lại đó để “thoát khỏi chúng và được nghỉ ngơi”.

Hai bé Andrey và Maksim bị cha mẹ bỏ rơi và sống trong điều kiện vô cùng tồi tệ suốt một tuần trước khi một người đi đường phát hiện và báo cảnh sát.

Người vô gia cư Serge, 42 tuổi, cho hay: “ Một cặp vợ chồng trẻ đến và nhờ chúng tôi chăm sóc con cái họ. Các cậu bé hoàn toàn khỏa thân và đi chân trần. Họ nói sẽ tới một cửa hàng để mua ít thức ăn và quay lại sau ít phút. Sau đó họ đi và không trở lại nữa”.

Một tuần đó, những người sống ở trại của những người không nhà này đã chia sẻ ít thức ăn cho hai cậu bé và để mắt tới các em, ngăn không để chúng tự làm mình đau.

Ngày 26/8, cô Olena Tashevska, một người qua đường, đã vô tình phát hiện ra những đứa trẻ đang chập chững bước đi giữa các trại và báo cảnh sát.

“Tôi đi dạo tới dòng sông Dnipro, tìm một nơi để tắm nắng thì nhìn thấy trại của những người vô gia cư. Tôi đã rất sợ hãi khi thấy hai cậu bé nằm đó trên chiếc chăn bẩn thỉu. Chúng trần truồng và cực kỳ bẩn. mua bán nồi hơi đốt vải vụn Tôi lập tức gọi cảnh sát”, Olena cho hay.

Cảnh sát đã đến hiện trường cùng xe cứu thương. Trong khi cảnh sát nói chuyện với những người vô gia cư, nhân viên y tế kiểm tra và mặc quần áo cho hai anh em Andrey.

Phát ngôn viên cảnh sát Dina Kurnikova nói: “Những đứa trẻ sống như những cậu bé 'Mowgli' (nhân vật cậu bé rừng xanh trong một bộ phim giả tưởng). Chúng không mặc quần áo và uống nước từ sông. Các cậu bé đói và kiếm thức ăn trên bãi biển gần nhất rồi đào sâu vào thùng rác”.

Andrey và Maksim được đưa đến bệnh viện và các bác sĩ chẩn đoán chúng bị c��m lạnh và suy dinh dưỡng.

Bác sĩ nhi khoa Taisa Klimenko từ Bệnh viện Nhi đồng Zaporizhia 1 cho biết: ”Các bé trai mắc bệnh truyền nhiễm do virus và suy dinh dưỡng.

Bây giờ chúng rất yếu và không thể đi lại. Những đứa trẻ biết tên và tuổi của chúng. Chúng không hỏi gì về cha mẹ cả”.

Người cha và mẹ vô tâm đã bỏ hai con trai vì “cảm thấy mệt mỏi” khi phải chăm sóc chúng.

Cảnh sát sau đó đã tìm thấy và thẩm vấn người mẹ Bozhena Synychka, 20 tuổi và cha Volodymyr Zaitsev, 25 tuổi.

Cặp đôi này khai với cảnh sát rằng, họ cảm thấy “mệt mỏi khi chăm sóc các con trai và cần được nghỉ ngơi”.

Nguồn thu nhập của Synychka và Zaitsev đến từ những buổi nhặt rác thải kim loại.

Cảnh sát hiện đã mở một cuộc điều tra hình sự đối với cặp vợ chồng vô trách nhiệm này vì tội không hoàn thành nghĩa vụ của cha mẹ. Họ có thể đối mặt với án tù 5 năm nếu bị kết tội.

Cơ quan dịch vụ xã hội địa phương sẽ kiện hai người này và tước quyền làm cha mẹ của họ.

Hai bé Andrey và Maksim sẽ được đưa vào trại trẻ mồ côi cho đến khi tòa án ra quyết định.

“Baba Yaga” by Andrey Klimenko.

Baba Yaga is a supernatural being (or one of a trio of sisters of the same name) who appears as a deformed and/or ferocious-looking witch. Baba Yaga flies around in a mortar, wields a pestle, and dwells deep in the forest in a hut usually described as standing on chicken legs (or sometimes a single chicken leg). Baba Yaga may help or hinder those that encounter or seek her out.

Keeping silent This kind of behavior can be encountered often, in a variety of Slavic rituals. One of the main roles of the voluntary termination of speech, is to move away from the ordinary, everyday behavior. Thus allowing the entry into the domain of the otherworldly. Various participants in different kinds of rituals tend to take on these ethereal qualities, as is the case with masked processions. Silence is also a prominent characteristic of magic rituals. Rejecting all that binds them to this world people who create amulets or perform different invocations would be silent as well as and naked, so that otherworldly forces could operate freely. This lack of speech is also a sign of respect for the holy place where the ceremony is executed, so that human vocalization would not violate the sanctity. At the same time, the silence is also a form of protection for the individual, so by keeping silent and sometimes also by holding the amulet in the mouth at the same time, a person prevents any kind of external influences onto itself.
