iRULU V1 ANDROID SMARTPHONE REVIEW VIDEO iRULU is a not so well known tech brand that produces smartphones and tablets. A few weeks ago in the interest of trying out and reviewing a new android smartphone I ran across this brand and purchased its iRULU V1 ( VICTORY 1 ) android smartphone. Here are the specs: OS : Android 4.4.2 Cameras : Back 7.99 MP,  Front 4.92 MP Ram : 1 Gig Storage : 8 Gig Display : 5.5 inch 540x960 pixels Chipset : MediaTek MT6582M With a price range $50 to around $80 its a low to medium range device. Nothing fancy or too special about it feature wise. The phone is a simple yet nice looking design Fits well in the hands despite being a large device. But its definitely a 2 hand device in my opinion. The video recording quality of the back 8MP camera seems to be slightly better than the previous phones I have reviewed, both for exterior and interior shots. Although the camera did freeze and drop frames twice during the interior video shoot. The photo quality for exterior shooting was just average and the interior photo quality had a purple tint !! The back and the battery are removable which nowadays is a BIG PLUS. I did two sets of battery tests. One harsh and one casual. For the harsh test i had the screen brightness up all the way and did a lot of hardcore gaming and video streaming. The battery lasted 2 hours and 39 minutes. For the casual battery test I brought green brightness down all the way and just did some Facebook, social media and web browsing. The battery lasted 8 hours and 59 minutes.  Both results very mediocre to average in m opinion. For gaming the first game I tried was NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED. Like most other smartphones I have reviewed this game just crashes immediately. Im not sure if its because of the 1 Gig ram or the MediaTek chipset. But GT RACING 2 runs beautiful. Stock Android 4.4.2 is the OS. Extremely outdated but it seems to be running well on the iRULU V1. The screen even though NOT HD, looks absolutely gorgeous and doesn’t show pixels. At only 8 Gigs of storage you can barely put any apps on it before it runs out of space.
