  I was laying on John's chest, continuing to watch the movie that we both had put on. I could hear his giggles when he found the movie funny. It made me smile. I could hear his breathing and his heartbeat as I continued to watch the movie. Once the movie had ended, I got up from his chest, noticing his eyes looking straight at me instead of the television screen. He had a small smile, it was as though he was admiring me. “Are you tired, darling?” He continued to admire me, it made me feel like a mess.   Once I had pulled away he pulled me back in for more. Instead of laying on him now, I was sitting, with one of his hands caressing my hip. My hands cupped his face, with the one kiss I gave, turning into more. His other hand lay on my hips as well, it was as though we couldn’t pull away from each other. I know for certain I didn’t want to pull away, and neither did he. He was wearing sweatpants and a black tee. I knew he was still staring at me. “It’s a question, y/n.” I looked up, smiling so full it could hurt. “Yes, especially that. Can I rest now?” He nodded, with his hands holding me tightly. I laid on his chest, hearing his heartbeat and his breathing again, it made me feel like I was home. It was then I slowly fell asleep, and when I woke up, I saw a beautiful boy asleep as well. I didn’t want to move, because if I did I could’ve woken him up easily. So I just laid there, admiring him.

    It was 1984 and we were going into the studio with what you knew to be other bands. Bob had contacted us to join as well and how could we say no to it? It was for the right reasons and we wanted to help in any way possible. So when we first came into the studio seeing it full, coming into the studio surrounded by cameras, it wasn’t shocking. Bob was the first person to instantly welcome us and with open arms too. “Do you guys want anything before we start recording?” Bob said, I looked at my band members. “I think we’ll all take water.” I said, with a smile, and with that we followed his way to get water. 

  After that, we just talked to each other and if people came up to us, we would talk to them. I remember sweetly talking to George Michael, and he was the nicest person ever. He had my type of humor, and that made things only better. The energy in the room was beautiful, and it could only get better from there. You couldn’t help but smile all the time, everyone there was so amazing and I just honestly wanted to be friends with all of them. “Y/n, did you notice Duran Duran is here?” I could hear my guitarist say, I was silent. It seemed like for years now we had been fighting for #1 on charts when we had singles, which coincidentally would release sometimes around the same times, and I hadn’t talked to them at all. I sighed, “Should I say hi to one of them?” I took a sip of my water, if I was gonna say hi to one of them it would most likely be Simon. See, I had no clue where my drummer or keyboardist had gone, but what I assumed was that they were talking to other band members, or playing music with them. “I’ll come with you if you want to, I mean you have to admit, they have good music.” I nodded. “But it doesn’t feel bad to have a #1 against them does it?” My smile was large.

  I walked my way with my guitarist to say hi to Simon and I could see that his band members were by him as well. They had been talking to each other and when they could see I was going their way, they had stopped their conversation. I can’t lie, I was a bit nervous. “Well, hello. How are you all?” Simon showed me a smile. “Well, I’m doing well, it’s nice to meet you. I didn’t think you would come and say hi to us.” I could feel all their eyes on me, which made me even more nervous, but I still wanted to look confident. “Well that would just be rude, wouldn’t it? Well, I just wanted to say hi.” I showed them a smile, before going away. I looked at my guitarist, “Could it show that I was a nervous wreck?” All she could do was laugh. “Didn’t you notice? It seemed like John had eyes for you.” I rolled my eyes. “You know what, let’s just focus on recording this single, hm?”

  Once the song had been recorded, it was time to go. I remember putting my bass guitar away and waiting for the other members. I was saying my goodbyes to everyone, knowing I would probably see them again. That’s when I saw a tall figure with a striped shirt come my way, it was John. When he came my way, he had a cheeky smile, one that could make me smile myself. “I wasn’t able to speak to you after you left.” He kept his smile. “Well, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you would want to talk to me.” He had a tall figure, so I was looking up to him for most of the time. “I did, I’m a big fan of your music.” I could feel my smile growing, no matter how many times I got complimented on my music, I couldn’t help but have a small smile on it. “Really? Is that why you were staring at me earlier? Because my music was so good?” I could see that once I said that, he was a nervous wreck. His cheeks had become flustered. He had become silent for a split second. “Maybe I just wanted to focus on you.” His eyes had been focused on me and me only from the second he had started talking to me, it made me feel nervous. 

  I didn’t know what to say, and I know he could tell I was speechless. I mean what was I supposed to do? Even then, it felt like I couldn’t think, I had no clue why I was this nervous, I was fine talking to Simon in front of him. I looked around for my band members, it seemed as though they were nowhere to be found. “I just wanted to know if you were willing to hang out with me one day.” “Are you asking me on a date?” He began stuttering. 

  “Yes, I am. When are you free?” “Follow me.” He followed my way as I searched for paper and a pen. When I did, I wrote my number. “We’ll discuss it…and maybe more…” I smiled, and he smiled too. That’s when our conversation got interrupted by my band members, it was time to go. “I’ll see you soon then, Y/n.” I smiled, before I left. I couldn’t help but smile so much. When we had left the building, that’s when the questions started flooding in. “Does someone have a date with John Taylor?” I covered my face. “Maybe I do, what about it?”

  Once I got home, I changed clothes, and was finally able to relax. When the phone rang, I knew who it was instantly. “Hello?” I said, with a smile forming. “It’s John, are you free this weekend or next? I want to know when I’ll see you next time.”
