RHYTHM DOCTOR: TAROT COLLABORATION (2024) APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!

If you've seen our previous posts about the Rhythm Doctor: Tarot Collab (RD:TC) and piqued an interest, then you'll be glad to know that applications for taking part are officially open! Details in the drop-down below:

From August to December 2024, we're looking for people to help us create a "digital catalogue" of art featuring Rhythm Doctor characters as the faces of Major Arcana tarot cards. Don't know what that means? That's okay! We made a full document detailing everything - from what the RD:TC project is, to how you can take part, to a lot of things in between. View it here!

If you've read the document and are interested, here's the application! You have until September 2nd (Monday) to apply, but the application only takes upwards of an hour to complete, so there's no need to rush.

While we are namely looking for various artists across the Rhythm Doctor community, we may also be looking for technical/moderator support at a later date, so do not worry - and, even if you're not keen on the art side of things, it may be good to look through our application anyway!

Last song I listened to: Dramaturgy by Eve! me and the songs with identity/mask/heart/gunshot themes. you know how it is <-oc brained

Favorite content to watch: Animation of any sort, variety gaming youtube, HEMA/medieval weaponry or armour videos and talks. And animals rolling around doing things.

Favorite games: Fire Emblem Three Houses, Mass Effect Trilogy, Katana Zero, Final Fantasy XIV. Shoutout to Dragon's Dogma and BlazBlue also. I just made a wholeass chart abt this on twitter, I'll add it in a moment,

Favorite color: Electric, neon, radioactive, eyeburning cyan.

Current obsessions: massy fect... I have moments of being gripped hard by scifi (and mech stuff), and I have been IN this grip for over a month now... Mechs are just another kind of suit of armour. the constant obsession is dragons/fantasy in general tho

Last book I read: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley! Really good, I read it on the beach a while back—currently forcing my way thru Moby Dick by Herman Melville. Why do I always read books about being miserable in the cold while on the beach.

Last thing I googled: "wyvern ammo monhun" <- fake MH HBG fan forgot what the ammo types were called before I made a joke

Fun fact: 🇨🇱🇨🇦‼️ I collect cool looking coins and dragon figures/statues! I've been interested in medieval armour and weaponry since I was like eight or younger. I was a chess team nerd before I eventually upgraded to Fire Emblem. I like 3D modelling and animation when I'm not doin 2D art and have old models of my own chars lying around somewhere.

38. a soap bar that smells good?

this i dont know because we usually get the same ivory soap and its just "generic soap" smell to me LOL. i cant go into stores with lots of fancy soaps in them often because they give me huge headaches.

I really like the smell of lavender but i am...allergic to the smell, and it is usually the cause for said headaches.

43. what’s your take on spicy foods?

easy way to clear my sinuses :p

my spice tolerance is kinda low so i think my idea of spicy isnt what most people would consider spicy. i like some chips that are a little spicy and a few other things too, but they arent like, labeled as such, so. anything that IS labeled spicy properly i cant handle which SUCKS cause they usually look good.

i can give it a try if someone is willing to eat the rest if i cant though! i just dont like wasting food so i dont often try it

1 WEEK LEFT!

Been thinking about applying for the Rhythm Doctor: Tarot Collab (RD:TC)? Well, you might want to get cracking, because there's only one week left until applications close! If you've not applied yet, here's the form! Please remember that you need to get it in before the end of September 2nd!!! If you have applied, however, we sincerely appreciate it, and we figured we may owe you some more information about how the project is managed. You spent ages talking about yourselves, but we've barely spoken about us! So how about we introduce the lead staff?

Jay (angelictactics, she/he/they) is the director behind this project, as well as some future projects on the horizon. She enjoys making art and writing, and has wanted to create a collaborative project for the RD fanbase for a while now. She likes rhythm games and overly complicated MMOs.

Emo (EMOXHERMIT, he/him/his) is the producer behind this project, but you may also call him the "task manager". He handles everything Jay doesn't handle, from making the application to even writing this promotion! He likes spreadsheets, rock music, and hyper-analysing RD dialogue for fun! We are your two lead faces for the RD:TC, so you'll likely hear about us a lot, but that doesn't mean we're doing this alone.

There are a couple extra hands we have for second opinions, but you'll learn more about them in due time. For now, we appreciate your patience, attention, and especially your support while we get things ready.
