Alright let me try and talk about this one properly.
Alright so this was my first DHMIS meme and more of just an overview of the series shown as a nightmare by Yellow, but to reiterate what little things about my au are shown in it:
all the puppets are humanoids
the teachers are humanoid embodiments of concepts (gods?)
teachers were trapped in little object bodies during the happening of the DHMIS videos due to Roy's Machine.
Red and Duck were made to live together before the television show to become comfortable around each other
Although Yellow was always intended to be an actor in the show, he was sent to live with Red and Duck early when Roy got sick of his presence.
Roy did in fact send his son off with a letter and nothing else.
Red and Duck were not expecting a crying kid to come knocking in the middle of the night here he is and there they were so they quickly had to get used to it.
The trio got along well, all things considered, until the lessons started and thing went south.
Red still leaves, Duck still dies, Yellow still lives the longest.
They all do live in a happier world for a while where they're their favorie colors.
The happy world doesn't last, but that's for later down the line.

Anakin's little notes to himself
As portrayed in Jude Watson's Jedi Quest young reader series.
Focus on the mission, it will get you through.
Focus on the first step. The others will follow.
Slow down. Breathe. The Force will help you.
Jedi sayings:
Means equal ends. In order to do good, one must act rightly at every step. If the means used were wrong, then the outcome was wrong, too.
No expectations. Acceptance.
Jedi do not second-guess.

Stuck for gift ideas for a writer? Aninotes note books are flicking good
Stuck for gift ideas for a writer? Aninotes note books are flicking good
If we’re talking gift ideas for writers, a notebook doesn’t exactly scream thoughtful and original does it? But hear me out for a minute. I was given an Aninotes book last year and it’s become my favourite of all time.
Not only is it perfect A5 size and encased in a lovely old-fashioned feeling warm orange fabric with a handy elastic strap, the 240-page book has got an awesome bee-themed…

PPTS AU
Notes below cut
Roy's machine not only trapped the Teachers in object vessels but turned them temporarily insane as well, resulting in the songs/lessons and the various kinds of harm the students experienced during them.
Sketch was also taken by the Money Man because she tried to stop him in one of her more lucid moments after her lesson. It did not end well.
When in object/vessel form, teachers can regenerate, but it's a slow process.
Red was the one who brought Sketch back once the ransom was paid.
Sketch knows gratitude, Tony does not.
Following DHMIS 4, Red was revived in the house. He left sometime after.
Red smokes. (There are cigarettes and ashtrays throughout the actual DHMIS videos.)
Red took Sketch with him when he left. They had a discussion before then.
Once far enough, the machine's effects are weakened, allowing the Teachers to resume their original forms as seen with Sketch.
Red and Sketch made a deal.

PPTS AU
TW/CW : nothing sexual, but also not for kids! smoking, blood, gore, death, and deals with deities of questionable benevolence.
So what is DHMIS: PPTS AU? It sounds like a horrible random amalgam of letters.
Well, it stands for Don't Hug Me I'm Scared: Pedagogue of Particular Teachers and Students AU.
Yes I named it so it would be pronounced like "Puppets AU."  The spelled-out thing is quite a mouthful isn't it?
PPTS is an alternate universe I made up wherein all the puppets are humanoids, the teachers are humanoid embodiments of concepts (gods?) that were trapped in little object bodies during the happening of the DHMIS videos due to Roy's Machine.
There are no romantic ships in this au.
This started as animation memes viewable in YouTube through my channel which goes by the name of Yulogica. I have sone art of it on this blog and very little art of it viewable in Deviant Art under YunaSRL.
I suppose these posts are my attempt to expound upon it without dying from the pain of additional animations. This also sort of exists for me to catalogue things myself, but some others may enjoy it as well, so here you go.

Fear, insecurity, & the inability to accept critisism
Anakin's biggest fear (as far as personal insecurities go) is failure. For the most part, this applies to letting down those he cares about. All he wants is to prove himself to others (Obi-Wan mostly, when he's younger. The council as a whole when he's older.) Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to understand some basic Jedi principles, and thus is forever sub par in the eyes of those he seeks to impress. This just adds to his fear that he's not good enough and spurs him on to try harder to be strong and/or great instead of taking a moment to reflect and try to see what he's doing wrong. He has an extremely hard time accepting criticism and admitting his own faults. (Which makes him a terrible Jedi.) Instead of dealing with his faults and trying to fix them, he simply pretends they don't exist in hopes that they'll go away. This stems from his fear of self reflection, which in turn comes from not wanting to admit to having less-than-noble feelings and thoughts. I think this idea he has that he can just push things so away that he never has to think about them and therefor, they don't have to matter, comes from a form self defense. When he was a child, there were a lot of aspects of his life that he was better off ignoring. After all, there was nothing he could do, he was powerless, so he did the next best thing and became very adept at burying negative thoughts, feelings, and memories.
In many ways, his mindset is still very much that of the little boy who grew up on Tatooine. He feels that he can't just stop feeling how he feels (and maybe he can't) so, because he's accepted a position of powerlessness, decides it's best to ignore the problems and move on. He takes any form of criticism as proof that he's not good enough, so he resents those who frequently call him out (Mace Windu & Ferris Olin.) At the same time, he desperately wants to prove them wrong, but doesn't understand where he's lacking (because he can't admit to his faults and/or has already decided that whatever aspect is being called into question is something he cannot do.) And, of course, this just goes on in a viscous cycle until eventually he can't bottle it up anymore (and he kills the sand people and then all the Jedi and we know how it goes from there.)
Conclusions: Anakin cannot cope with failure (or perceived failure.) He doesn't understand the concept of letting things go. When he decides he can't do something, he gives up on trying and tries to cover it up as best he can (either by ignoring the problem, or trying harder in other areas in an attempt to mask his inabilities.)

Anakin Skywalker: notes
Regarding emotions (it was supposed to be motives, but that didn't work out.)
When Anakin feels anything, he feels it very strongly. This is just a general rule of thumb for him. He's highly empathetic, and he cares about others. He feels pain, sorrow, and love down to his very core. These emotions are intense; uncontrollable. To understand Anakin as a person, you need to understand that he doesn't feel things on the same emotional scale as everyone else. He doesn't have that inner filter that let's you shut it out. He can't help but feel everything. He's like one big exposed nerve. One wrong move, and you'll push him to the edge.
He's all but incapable of thinking rationally, or if he can it doesn't matter, because his morality is secondary to his emotions.*
*When he was first presented with the choice to join Darth Sidius or to turn him in to Jedi council, he chose good. He (rationally) made the moral decision and reported to Windu. The problem was that he had too much time to think about it afterwards. He had to sit and wait, which gave him too much time to think, and his emotions won out.
Even after he made the choice to disobey and go after them, he didn't choose Sidius right away. He rationalized a way to keep him alive, but Windu didn't take it. It all came down to a life or death, choose now or never situation, and he had to act. Anakin always has to act. After Windu's death, he'd crossed his own line of morality, so he was able to do things he normally wouldn't.
Another example would be when he found his mother. His rage drove him to murder, and he rationalized away his guilt by saying they were animals. This makes them less than people, therefor okay to kill. (This didn't rid him of his guilt entirely.)

Anakin Skywalker: Motivation (First Draft)
Anakin is very much emotionally and morally motivated, with emotion taking priority over morality. When looking at why he does anything, it's important to know that he doesn't put any kind of rational thought into any of it. If he does, then he can only hope that he doesn't have enough time to dwell on it, because he'll inevitably act according to his heart.*
I'm not trying to say that he never could, never has, or never will act according to his brain. I'm just saying that those instances are few and far between, or he chooses with his mind and then back tracks later.
He acts according to his heart, which really is in the right place and always has been, but he's virtually incapable of logical reasoning, so his actions don't always follow his morality.
To know what Anakin will do in any given situation, all you need to know is what's important to him. We know people are more important than anything (people in general with people close to him taking higher priority), so we can always know without a doubt, that Anakin will do whatever he can to protect those he cares about. Even if that means going very far outside his moral compass.
*He initially chose good and reported Palpatine to the Jedi, but he had too much time to dwell on it, and his emotions won out.

Anakin Skywalker: notes
I really want to take a moment to look at Anakin's relationship with his mother. It really helps to put things into perspective (his reactions to later events, the dramatic impact her death has on him) when you understand just how close they must have been.
His mother was a slave, which means she was property. She didn't have an extended family (not one that she knew.) She didn't have relationships with other people (because she's seen as property, not a person.) Anakin really was her whole world, and she was his. In all their interactions we see that closeness. They aren't just mother and son, they're friends. They would do anything for one another. I don't think I can thoroughly articulate just how close they were, so take my word for it.
So we know he had a close relationship with his mother, he was born a slave, and he's always wanted to do something with his life.
As a slave, he was denied the ability to choose his own path, which would explain his need to act according to his whims later in life. It also explains his general attitude towards others (his mannerisms to be exact.) He's always polite, he's shy in social situations, like he's afraid to do something wrong. When we first see him in Episode I, Watto raises his hand, and Anakin flinches. This explains a lot about his fear of making others unhappy (in general settings; apologizing when he realizes he's said something wrong, etc.) Of course another part of that is just the fact that he genuinely cares about other people's feeling, and never tries to hurt anyone just for the sake of hurting them (lashing out is different.)

Anakin Skywalker: notes
I've been trying to write out his motivations section, but I'm finding it difficult to not get side tracked with talking about everything he cares about. So here's a new section. I might add something for it in my study guide (probably wont.)
Obi-Wan was right when he said Anakin cares about people rather than (or above) principles. He cares about everyone, he can't help but care. I wouldn't say there's any real reason behind it (not a physical cause, anyway), he's just very empathetic. Empathy combined with overconfidence and an action oriented nature; that's Ani in a nutshell.
Anakin cares, first and foremost, about people.
He cares about certain people more than others (everyone does), and he puts their needs above the needs of himself and others.
I can't think right now with Duel of Fates playing. TOO MANY FEELS!

Quote
“For Anakin, there is nothing more important than friendship. He is the most loyal man I’ve ever met—loyal beyond reason; in fact abstractions like peace don’t mean much to him. He’s loyal to people, not to principles. And he expects loyalty in return. He will stop at nothing to save me, for example, because he thinks I would do the same for him… because he knows I would do the same for him.”

Anakin Skywalker: Morality (First Draft)
At his core, Anakin is a truly selfless person. He would risk his life to help others without any thought compensation or self gain.* He is deeply compassionate and hates to see other people suffer, for any reason. Very proactive, he will not sit back and let others handle what he feels he can do on his own.* On that note, he has no concept what is or is not within his power to do. He believes he can do things with no evidence to back it up.* His being the Chosen One only amplifies these preexisting feelings.
His strong desire to help others, combined with a warped view of his own strengths, is what ultimately leads him down a dark path. It's important to understand that, while he is capable of incredible evil, his intentions were initially good. He wanted to protect someone he loved (his mother) and failed. So when he first felt something was wrong with Padme, he vowed to do anything and everything he could. He was unable to let go of his fear of losing her and the pain of failing to save his mother.
*episode I Selflessly volunteers to race for Qui-Gon in order to get him parts for his ship. Has no idea this will lead to his release, never asks for compensation, could be killed in the race. He's not afraid of racing, has unrealistic confidence (unrealistic because he's never won, or even finished), enjoys podracing anyway, so in his mind he's not actually making any sacrifice, but he's still willing to do it for nothing in return. -Selfless, not self sacrificing. Proactive (takes it upon himself to help.) Preexisting confidence, to an unrealistic extent.
episode III In the opening scene he voices his intention to help the clones who are having trouble with their fight. He doesn't follow through only because of Obi-Wan's discouragement.  -Selfless, no consideration for personal safety (but he never shows consideration for his own safety, so it can't really be called a self sacrifice.)
