Thanks to @diario-de-gilbert-blythe's post about lillies-of-the-valley (and @pinkenamelheart's - the op), I revisited my own, very old copy of Anne of Green Gables, for the first time in years. And... was so surprised to find I possess an illustrated version! True, there aren't too many pictures in the book, but still!
Anyway, I wanted to share them (all credit goes to an artist: Mrs. Jolanta Adamus Ludwikowska, I own nothing):
Anne at the train station, waiting for Matthew.
Anne hitting Gilbert with her slate.
Anne and Diana
Anne and Diana with Aunt Josephine.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen coming to a tea.
Anne after falling off the roof.
Anne after dying her hair
Well... Anne being Anne.
There are no pictures on the cover - it is one of these old, brown-leathered covers with gold letters.

"Birds do not often sing in Semptember, but one sand sweetly from some hidden bough while Gilbert and Anne repeated their deathless vows. Anne heard it and thrilled to it; Gilbert heard it, and wondered only that all the birds in the world had not burst into jubilant song..."
