📢 I love linking my characters together when it makes sense.

Wolfe has a work partner, Cathan, that he met when Cathan attacked him, thinking he was the guy who kidnapped his brother for the Empire. Wolfe learned he had a doppelganger that day who also appears to be a cousin on his mother's side.

Aku (Cathan's brother) currently works for Hanae, one of my other characters, an ex-imperial engineer turned sky pirate. He's been tasked with surveillance and crossed path with Astrid, though she didn't pay attention to him.

Hanae's mother and Inge lived together for a while until Hanae's father blackmailed her mother and turned her against Inge. Had she trusted her instead, Hanae, her mother and Inge would've fucked off far from Kugane instead.

Inge carries the shame of leaving Hanae's mother for dead (she's still unsure whether or not she survived) and Hanae blames her for her mother's death (that happened years after, when she killed herself for a variety of reasons).

Part of the reason why Wolfe and Cathan got exiled from Ul'dah is that The Advocate asked them to investigate a group of people and they refused to back down when they started to uncover some serious corruption problems. They're currently looking for TA.

Skaar has an adopted son, I'nah, that's friend with another character of mine: A'idan. One of A'idan's oldest friends, Glenn, is another cousin of Wolfe (on his father's side, this time).

Kazan and Inge currently works together on a mission in Garlemald (with a bunch of other people including Inge's best friend and her wife).

Griveroix has been working with Inge for some years now, though she was sometimes off to work on urgent missions (as it is the case now). He's related to The Advocate. Skaar also knows him by sight since Griveroix was Carvallain's sailing master.

And I think that’s it? I feel like I’m forgetting someone XD

Hello there, I'm Skaar!

This is my FFXIV sideblog where I post about my characters and my version of the MSQ, named—with great originality—the WoL Verse.

You'll find below a few interaction/rp rules, a few explanations about the WoL verse and more info on my roster (because I'm an altoholic not interested in getting better XD) and main tags.

WoL verse

Inge was at the Battle in Carteneau with a tattoo to prove it (not in game, wasn't a 1.0 player) and is trying to help rebuilding the world after failing to save it. Aïcha is a wanted criminal in Thavnair who fled and needs money and redemption. Both are stubborn, both are resourceful, neither expects their life to turn into legends.

Ships: Inge/Yersinia (@inah-ffxiv's OC) & Inge/Y'shtola, Aïcha/Zenos, Aïcha/Estinien

In short: the WoL verse is the MSQ with my two co-WoLs. Inge is Azem's reincarnation, Aïcha's ancient role is yet undetermined, but without them both, the world wouldn't have the stability it now enjoys.

Expect a few changes of canon events, either because I don't like the canon version, wanted to explore something new or because it worked better with my WoLs this way.

My other OCs will make appearances sometimes, some more than others.

📢 Inge's echo lets her see glimpses of the future. It manifests either in a strong intuition about what's going to happen in the next few seconds or in actual visions of the future (which are usually the reason why she appears when and where she's needed "by chance".)

📢 Inge and Griveroix has been tasked by the Twin Adlers to explore and map the West Shroud. They witnessed Foulques' fall and she managed to slow him down just enough for him to survive, albeit in a very poor state. Took them a long time to nurse him back to health, and they kept his survival a secret at his request. He's currently somewhere in Dravania, as far as she knows.

📢 I've always said that unless people are at the WoL's level, they wouldn't beat The Advocate and that's why I refuse to engage in combat rp with him. The thing is that I never explained why and people tend to assume that it's just because he hits hard. But no.

He's immune to tempering in the same way that Ifrit is, except he's much older [than the current version of Ifrit] since he predates the void in the 13th. He only fights alone because he's never been desperate enough to open voidgates and get some help. And should he lose and die... well, are you really sure you killed the right part of him? Because the human body that carries the sword isn't the danger here.

📢 At first I thought perhaps if The Advocate would get the Echo, it'd help save him. Eventually I figured out another way. He remains immune to tempering though (as he's always been since I created him).

📢 Griveroix's name is not his real name. After the ship he was on with Carvallain got attacked and Carvallain decided to join the pirates, Griveroix had little choice but to do the same to survive. To avoid being recognized though, they both decided to change their names. Griveroix uses his brother's.

📢 Alakja has grandkids.

📢 Wolfe sees himself as Ul'dahn but both his parents are actually from Gyr Abania. He doesn't feel particularly connected to their respective culture though, especially since, while they did teach a few things to their kids, they didn't insist on them following any of their traditions. The main idea was to help them blend in in Ul'dah, considering all the discrimination Ala Mhigans could face in the city. Occasionally his parents wonder if they did the right choice, but it's a bit too late now.

📢 Gender roles in Sjasaris are vastly different from what Inge has seen elsewhere, and while she talks about herself as a woman for the sake of simplicity, she doesn't perceive herself as such nor was considered as such back in her village. (But she doesn't really care either and would rather not explained the traditions of her people to outsiders.) The distinctions between genders also don't exactly follow the "man/woman/nonbinary" pattern in her tribe, and one day I'll be less lazy and finally finish that Sjasaris HC post that's been sitting in my drafts for months now XD

📢 Astrid has about five years to "live" before she eventually fades away.

I usually have a core idea for each character, on which I then add what they want and what they need, and watch how it shapes their life.

About Griveroix: he’s not literally cursed, just unlucky and with a warped sense of identity. I created him a few months after Inge but his initial version became The Advocate, so I guess we can call him the proto-Advocate. I rebuilt him later and now they’re related.

would they rather win an argument or avoid conflict?

On a personal level: conflict avoidant. To win an argument, you need to share your thoughts and it’s something he actively avoids doing. He’s most likely to tell you that he refuses to engage in that conversation further and remove himself from the room if you insist. Or fall silent if he can’t leave.

On a professional level: it’s the only area in his life in which he feels confident. If he’s got something to say, he’ll say it and he will defend his position if the need arises. Mostly become his job is to be a bodyguard and if he changed his mind or submitted every time someone yelled, he’d be pretty terrible at protecting anyone.

Kind, stubborn and reckless, she has yet to meet her limits. In the meantime, she takes dumb risks, tries to help as many people as she can and drinks tea. A lot of tea.

She’s known for being a picky adventurer who almost exclusively works with people Mother Miounne sent her way, not being very fond of healing stupid injuries and a disliking for creating barriers (“Just dodge.”).

Name: Unknown, gets called “The Advocate” Origin: Ishgard Occupation: Duelist “for hire” who really just works for free to defend people against accusations of heresy, ??? IC job/class: Dark Knight, ???, ??? Lives in Coerthas (formerly), 13th shard (post Endwalker, which isn’t known but I’m specifying it in case anyone would want to RP with him)

Mysterious dark knight who made a name for himself by defending people at the Tribunal in Ishgard and winning all his cases so far. Unnaturally strong and off-putting, despite a behaviour most would describe as amiable if they could get over their instinctive fear of him.

Hates the Church, nobles and voidsents.

Name: Astrid Fauconnoix Origin: Sharlayan Occupation: Historian IC job/class: / Lives in Mor Dhona. Currently in my FC verse, she’s in Doma.

Romance: single

Blushing historian who’d like nothing more than to be left in peace with her tea, pastries and research. She disappeared when the Isle of Val was destroyed and reappeared in the middle of nowhere years later, unable to say how, why or what had happened. She’s since learned that she did not, in fact, survive the destruction of the island and is looking for a way to be truly alive once more.

Her true nemesis is Sharlayan bureaucracy.

Curious and enthusiastic catboy who decided to become an adventurer to explore the land for a few years, so he wouldn’t regret not seeing more of it before accomplishing his true dream: building his own submarine and exploring the depth of the ocean.

Chaos ensued.

(WoL verse: slightly older, he’s not a WoL but did help Aïcha and her team along the way. Joined the Ironworks to solve his problem of funding his submarine after he hung up his adventuring career. Gets along terrifically with Nero, much to anyone’s dismay since A’idan loves shenanigans almost as much as Nero loves himself.)

Pragmatic, blunt and honest to a fault, he’s a man of his word with all the good and the bad it brings. Convinced the Law is sacred and no one should disobey it, he lost everything to corrupt superiors and must now answer a millennia old question: what do you do when the Law is unfair and you can do nothing to change it?

Romance: married to X’yan Tia (who’s not on Tumblr)

Clever man who looks and often acts like a brute. Much more lenient with Ala Mhigans than with any person from another nation, he helps refugees go back to Gyr Abania after years helping them settle in La Noscea.

Currently looking for students to teach them the monk arts.

Name: Kazan Takeuchi Origin: Sui-no-Sato Occupation: Bodyguard IC job/class: Samurai Lives on the road

Romance: single

A traumatized man that sees himself as a shield and a weapon, nothing more. Travels the world at Seimei’s side, a wandering priest from Sui-no-Sato with bad decision-making skills (if you ask his bodyguard), while trying to find out who he is as a person.

Doesn’t like discussing his past. Doesn’t like discussing at all, in fact.

Name: Alakja Bloom Origin: the Skatay Range Occupation: Soldier (formerly) IC job/class: Lancer, reaper (post EW) Lives in the Skatay Range (formerly), Garlemald (formerly), ??? (currently missing)

A himbo who joined the Imperial Army because they asked him nicely enough. Terrible at following orders, they eventually put him at a clerk position just so he’d stop messing up missions. He’s been helping citizens ever since the Tower of Babil appeared, until he fell in a crevasse (seemingly to his death).

After years in the mob, she did a 360 and tried to redeem herself. Despite a rocky start as an adventurer, she’s now in a much better place and with the world saved and her troubles behind her, she now has to figure out what peace means for her.
