I literally saw a Ross & Rachel (Roschel) shipper claim that if Joey and Rachel (Jachel / Roey) ended up together, Joey would have ended up cheating on her.

So... I hear that we might not like Rachel & Joey together, but we have to stop talking nonsense just to justify it.

What do people use to say such nonsense ?! That he was a ladies' man is NOT justification. Joey is literally the most loyal person ever when it comes to the people he loves !

And it's cheeky because I remember that, oh well... ROSS ACTUALLY CHEATED ON RACHEL !

The issue wasn’t were they or weren’t they

It was the fact, that you take a break to figure out current relationships, NOT TRY OUT THE NEW ONES

Ross began pacing back and forth in anger. Rachel and Mark were getting married? Mark and Rachel were getting married? He should'e known that little twig was lying about 'already being married'. He probably wanted to be more subtle about making the moves on Rachel.

Chandler groaned, "If he does this any longer, I'll get dizzy." Ross turned back to the couple in anger. "Okay, did you not hear me say 'Rachel and Mark are getting married?"

Monica scoffed, "Oh we heard you the first thirty times and honestly? I can’t believe I once considered you family. You're such a whiny baby! 'Oh god Rachel and Mark are getting married. Woe is me.' Well get the fuck over it!" She near yelled, trying not to wake the twins.

Monica shook her head, “You come in here, thinking you’re better than everyone else. You’re barely worth the air you waste." Chandler chimed in, "And you guys haven't been together for a year. What'd you expect? For her to come over and say 'Oh Ross I want you back! Let's getting married in a bundle of red roses!'" He ended sarcastically.

Ross scoffed, "That's ridiculous! Why would I only get married in red roses?" Monica angrily grabbed a newspaper, shoving it in front of Ross repeatedly while Chandler left to open the door. "Get out! Get out! GET OUT!" She shoved him out the door and Chandler closed and locked it.

I don't understand Rachel's logic, she is scared that Ross will cheat on her again because "once a cheater, always a cheater" but doesn't mind getting together with him while he's still dating another girl, like the hypocricy.

For the sake of argument, let’s say that whatever Ross feels toward Rachel is, in fact, love. and not some kind of weird possessive lust misconstrued as a lifelong love. Let’s say he really does love her in some way. EVEN THEN, it’s been proven over and over and over that he loves her despite her flaws, whereas dear, sweet Joey loves her with and because of her flaws. And I just don’t think I’ll ever be normal about this

Similarities and differences: Rachel/Joey and Rachel/Ross

Are people really interested in my lame F.r.i.e.n.d.s opinions?

Let’s see… both ships are so different! I’m almost coming up blank. Joey and Ross have some similarities. They’re goofy and loud. Ross is kind of romantic, and in love with the idea of love. Joey can be really sweet and romantic with Rachel. There are a lot of sweet and funny moments with both ships.

Rachel and Joey are about comfort, personal growth (for Joey), friendship. Ross and Rachel are about romance, the idea of “meant to be”. Ross is often jealous, and condescending to Rachel, but Joey is more honest and respectful. Rachel is also much more mature in her friendship/relationship with Joey. I mean, Rachel dated Ross in the first seasons. She grows up a lot throughout the show. 

Ross confuses and annoys Rachel when they’re dating. Joey doesn’t evoke a lot of negative feelings. 

Ross and Rachel have different tastes and personalities. Rachel and Joey are more alike. They’re flirty, fun, extroverted, vain, and the opposite of nerdy.

Ross and Joey would both do anything for Rachel. They really love her. And Rachel loves both of them, in different ways. 

Ross and Rachel have a lot of history together. They knew each other growing up, they dated and broke up, they were married and divorced, they have a child together. Rachel and Joey are much more casual, in a way. 

Rachel and Joey are the better and healthier ship though!

Times Ross Geller made me MAD.

Note: I think David Schwimmer is an excellent actor. I just do not like his character. 

1. Contemplated calling immigration on someone because he was jealous.

2. Was uncomfortable with his son playing with a barbie. 

3. Thought a man being a nanny automatically made him gay. 

4. ‘Cheater cheater. Compulsive eater.’  

5. Tried to kiss his cousin. 

6. Tried to convince his sister to buy more girl scout cookies so that he could ease his conscience despite the fact that she used to struggle with overeating. 

7. Joined a hate club made for his crush because she didn’t like him back. 

8. Was extremely territorial and possessive of his  girlfriend to the point that he was willing to jeopardise her job. 

9. Lied to his wife about getting an annulment because he didn’t want to be the guy that had been through 3 divorces.

10. When he spent a whole episode trying to startle and attack his ex-wife and her friend to prove they couldn’t defend themselves.

I can't believe the showrunners for Friends wrote Rachel and Joey believably falling for each other as friends and roommates, caringly developed the healthiest, most positive relationship either of them had been in over the course of nine seasons, and chucked it all aside to give Ross his undeserved happy ending

The more I watch Friends, the more I root for Joey and Rachel and the more annoyed I get with Ross.

I was just watching that episode wherein Ross and Monica went to get their childhood stuff from their home and they found out that Monica's stuff has been ruined and all of Ross' were intact. So to compensate, their dad gifted Monica his Porsche. Ross immediately protested as to why Monica should be the one getting the porsche when he is the medical marvel. This guy couldn't even let it go for his sister?

Everything always has to be about Ross, this selfish idiot who thinks his needs comes first before everybody else. Contrast this to Joey, who more often puts his friend's feelings before his own.

Am I really suppose to root for Ross and Rachel, a couple so toxic and brings out the worst in each other?

You know... I find it crazy that two series / sitcooms that are already similar in many ways, namely FRIENDS and How I Meet Your Mother, were also on the ship ! I wanted Rachel and Joey to end up together and Robin and Barney to end up together ! And instead I got Rachel and Ross and Robin and Ted ?! (Especially since Barney and Joey are both men who have never been in love before Robin and Rachel…) WTF SCREENPLAYS ?! The whole Ross and Rachel relationship is incredibly toxic and you focused your entire last season of HIMYM on Barney and Robin's marriage ! FOR WHAT ?! ESPECIALLY FOR COUPLES AS BAD AS ROSS & RACHEL, AND TED & ROBIN ! It's like Joey ended up with Dawson instead of Pacey, that makes no sense !
