but since i brought up enter shikari i feel like i need to make amental note to make an effortpost detailing the politcal reasoning behind the statements in some if their songs validating the monarchy. basically. they made a point to make halfhearted gestures justifying the monarcy's existence to avoid the laws against anti-monarchism, esp considering these messages show up first in their second major album, as though its inclusion is just to say "see we aren't anti-monarchist, we said the queen should grasp her crown to enact these anarchist ideals. toootaly not rebels 😁"

yes his name is benjamin and he works/worked for an evil company with my other character the female dilf (petra) and her dad and a few other guys and basically he figures out that the entire company isnt just like a normal vaguely previously state owned logistics operation but theyre essentially helping the government conduct illegal military operations (and perhaps that is kind of their entire purpose essentially) and its kind of a long story but basically it makes him a little fucked in the head and he becomes this whistleblower figure after a bunch of really dramatic shit happens (there IS a plane crash) and then obviously gets put in the meat grinder and doesnt get away with anything and no truth is ever truly revealed <3 essentially his sole purpose is to give petra (who is kind of a bad person) a motivating kick to try and be better and to give her like, character conflict and reason for growth after he dies lmfao but i havent drawn her as much bc i made up this awesome bird motif for him and its way too much fun to draw <3

Not to come back to this after a year but these movies basically live rent fuckin free in my mind- the way the monarcy tries to control magic in Decendants is so fucked up right?

Like instead of "were gonna let people who magic is a part of learn magic if they wish in a safe and controlled environment" they're "magic is to be shunned in every way and anything magical is either taken or 'strongly advised' to give to the powers that be so they can display your possible heirlooms in a fucking museum when you could be using them to, idk connect to your magic bloodline, carry on a family tradition, do good, no we want none to be able to do magic because we've associated it with being evil and or obsolete even though it has proven to be able to do things that we can't without it" AND I SWEAR they are mainly doing this to have a chokehold on magic and their own power by engraving the narrative that ALL MAGIC BAD EXCEPT when weilded by the fairy godmother. The fairy godmother who is basically the right hand to the King and Queen.

All magical items belong to the royal family and the only magic ever allowed is controlled by the royal family. They just want compleate control! That's why they never wanted to free the Isle in any way, that's why they weren't really ever on board with the reform efforts, because they has compleate control over the villains, the narrative about the Isle to their public and the magical items that were trabbed in the anti magic field vs as well as the items they had sitting in their museum. It's always been about control vs chaos, where Auradon has so much control its reflected in their plain, smooth, paste clothes, perfect because they belive they have everything, and the Isle's chaotic, put together with scraps, brightly coloured clothes reflecting their shitty situation they have little to no agency over.

Beauty and the Beast United the kingdoms for control over all of them and threw the villains on the island to have control over them. They likely control the food that gets sent to them and all!

In conclusion Aurodon was actually a dictatorship the entire time, down with the leaders, viva revolution!

n yeah same, idk I get it the monarcy is fucked n disgusting and I hate them as much as the next gay anti capitalist but I dont understand why its so, chaotic as it is on here bc people have differing opinions and ideas and personally I love hearing them and knowing what people think but yeah, I get that it can b touchy bc it does bring up a lot of emotions
