The Prom Commentary:

Yeah so I read the prom by saundra Mitchell (based on the musical by the same name) like the little bish that I am and here are my thoughts on it, cause I know y’all are crazy to see, lol not at all. Enjoy the commentary from someone who actually liked the movie version:

- The Spider-Man into the dark joke was actually pretty funny

- Note to self: don’t be gay in Indiana

- I don’t get having impure thoughts at all (cause I’m ace babey) let it alone being about Ariana grande. Emma, you should have better taste, boo

- Being compared to Pokémon is something that can be so personal.

- I’m really happy this book has EMMA and ALYSSA as the protagonists, their points of view, their story being told instead of Broadway sucking its own d*ck for however many pages.

- Than something neeeeeeeeew happened! And turned my life around entirely!

- Let’s stan Emma for never wanting to force Alyssa to come out or never outing her! Be like Emma!

- Stan Nan for clear skin!

- I really like how the lyrics of the songs are incorporated in the text. It doesn’t feel as forced as I was expecting. It feels like a Ya novel

- So we are not getting the other two? Just dee dee and Barry? Bummer but ok

- Wait. The principal and deedee had something in the past? That’s...interesting.

- It’s hard to read Alyssa’s mom’s lines. What an awful person

- Oh shit she tells Barry about Alyssa so early here! Cool change

- Give it some zaz! * Jazz hands *

- Alyssa’s inner monologue about fearing coming out and being rejected hits different

- I know we are hitting the end of act 1 and I know I’m gonna fucking cry. That scene freaking wrecks me

- Unrelated, but I love the title design. They are really playful and adorable

- Yep. That doesn’t hurt any less in text form. Poor little Emma

- I’m sorry, I know Alyssa has basically being outed by bitch #1 and bitch #2 and thats horrible but RED and GOLD? FOR A PROM? That’s ugly as hell. If they let the gays in that wouldn’t have happened

- Heartbreak sucks huh

- I love Emma’s self deprecating humor

- Yes! love thy neighbor!

- Look, I never liked deedee in the musical anyway, but she’s even worse here. Much more self centered and annoying from Emma’s POV and without the other two to balance her out

- Barry! Pop off king 👑 I love his speech about alyssa’s mom losing her. It cuts deep

- Reconciliation babey!!!

- Aw! I’m kinda disappointed we didn’t get to see the prom, but that was a sweet ending

Cisco Ramon

A/N Hiiiiii! First Cisco imagine :D

Pairing: Cisco Ramon x reader

Summary: Reader won't admit that she likes Cisco, until she does. Prompt "Alright, I see what you're doing, and it's not going to work" (I have no idea which prompt list lol sorry!!)

Warnings: I don't think any, maybe bad writing?

It was no secret that Cisco liked you; actually, that was a bit of an understatement. Cisco was crushing hardcore on you, he adored you and everything you did. He didn't bother hiding it, because even though you politely rejected his advances, he knew that you liked him as well. Everyone did, even you. But, you told yourself you wouldn't date anyone on the team because of the chances of any of you getting seriously injured, or the chances of you breaking up and making everything awkward.

So, you attempted to force your feelings back and focus on helping the team when they needed it, no thanks to Cisco who loved to get you flustered.

"Good job, guys," you grinned at Barry, Ralph, and Cisco, who had just gotten back from capturing a meta that had been particularly hard to find. Cisco took his mask off, setting it down as he walked over to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "Thanks, boo," he cheekily grinned, staring down at your now red face. You chuckled nervously, moving away from him and holding up a hand for him to high five. He frowned, but gave you a high five anyway.

Then, a few hours later, he walked into the lab where you were distractedly writing something down on the board. He walked over, standing so close your shoulders were touching, asking,"Whatcha workin' on?" You jumped in surprise, glancing at him for a moment before going back to writing. "Um, just an equation I've been trying to figure out," you muttered, and Cisco watched as you continued to work, your bottom lip tugged gently between your teeth (which honestly drove him crazy). Then, you grinned, placing the marker down,"I got it!"

Cisco grinned,"Hell yeah! We should go to dinner to celebrate, on me."

You blushed, your grin changing into a smaller, shy smile. "Alright, I see what you're trying to do, but it's not going to work."

Cisco feigned innocence, stepping back to lean on the desk,"Me? I'm not doing anything but trying to take my dear friend out for a romantic celebratory dinner because she solved a math equation." You giggled, but shook your head while going to leave the room,"I'm sorry, Cisco, but you know we can't."

He quickly stood and grabbed your arm, pulling you close to him, your faces only inches apart. You gasped, cheeks already turning red. Cisco's playful gaze was nowhere to be found, in place a soft look you'd only seen a few times. "Why not, Y/N?" He questioned, voice quiet. You suddenly found it hard to speak, as you stared into his eyes. "B-Because, we work together, and if we dated and had a bad break up, it would be so awkward, and-"

"Girl, if I got you to be mine, I'd never let you go."

You stayed silent, staring up at him with your eyes that always seemed to be shining, the eyes that he loved. But, now, they were filled with uncertainty. You wanted to be with him, of course you did, he was Cisco! But, you were so scared. He saw that, so he let out a deep breath and backed away,"But I'll back off until you're ready, and if you never will be I'll just have to live with being your friend, because either way I want you in my life." He turned to walk away, but this time it was you that pulled him back. Screw fear, you thought, you deserved to be happy.

His eyes widened as you grabbed his hand and pulled him into you, placing a hand on his chest as you leaned up and placed your lips on his. Cisco quickly moved into action, his hands moving to lovingly cup your cheeks as his lips moved against yours. Your lips left his, and your eyes fluttered open, finding Cisco in awe. Slowly, a grin found its way onto his lips as his hands slid down to hold your waist and pull you closer to him,"I knew you liked me."

"Shut up," you laughed, placing your lips onto his again.

Yeah, you thought, you could get used to this.
