#anyways used this as a pretext to draw a camera

Just woke up from a dream where I was one of 3 survivors of a slasher movie. Cast of characters included a girl from work, a male childhood friend, a few of my old high school friends, and a few random people I don't recognize now that I'm awake.
The killer was a girl I'd actually gotten on the wrong side of IRL when we were teens. I was hosting a movie night, and some of the people attending went with me to rent videos. This is where I saw this girl first, hanging out with her own friends. I warned someone I was with not to draw her attention, but she spotted me anyway.
I tried to de-escalate, but she wound up trying to attack me. Fortunately, she was very petite, and I was able to grab her and physically hold her at arm's length until security arrived to kick her out.
So naturally she followed us back to the cabin where we were having our party.
There was some standard drama amongst my friends, mostly involving who had a crush on whom, and this served as pretext for couples to split off and eventually get murdered. The remaining cast never bothered to look for the absent people because, well, the happy couples were obviously otherwise occupied.
Finally it was me and 3 guys left, and the killer must have gotten impatient, because she finally made her appearance. She had two big kitchen knives and was wearing like a mascot costume?
Anyway, we all ran for it, passing the bodies of our friends as we fled. My childhood friend fell behind and was stabbed repeatedly. The last two guys were ahead of me, so I had to think fast.
I squared off against the killer, using her grude against me to get her monologuing. Then I tackled her and knocked the knives out of her hands, grabbed one, and stabbed her several times.
She laughed as she bled out, saying that she'd ruined my life like I'd ruined hers (by telling our high school admins that she was suicidal because I was scared she'd hurt herself). I threw both knives across the room and ran, ending up in a bedroom in the attic where the other two survivors were hiding.
I woke up just as the sirens started in the distance.
Also the reveal that the killer was the girl from earlier was treated as a huge twist for some reason, even though I'd already recognized her before defeating her. And even though she was super tiny and the person in the mascot costume was obviously very small as well.
I just. It's wild how things played out just like a movie, complete with changing camera angles and dramatic music and a clear, cliché plot.
Also I really hope that girl doesn't still hate me IRL.
