tokyo tohoku trip - day 5.
woke up early morning after a good night sleep for another great day out, my sleeping schedule was so good during this trip for some reason, haha... XD i went to the morning market nearby the hotel to have a look but they mostly sell fresh food and stuff for cooking, so i decided to get some breakfast from convenient store which i really want to eat.
after enjoying my breakfast at my hotel room, i decided to just pack and check out first, and leave my luggage with the hotel receptionist so that i don’t have to come back until i am ready to leave sendai tonight.
my first place to visit is the sendai castle ruins/aoba castle ruins 仙台城跡, which is up a hill. i went to the nearest train station and started to walk, it didn’t occur to me that i would need to hike up the hill until i reach there and saw the walking path. also, the shorter route was closed off because some trees fall on the road, so i had to hike up a longer route, it was totally unexpected and quite tiring. it’s a good thing that the weather is chilly and i just walk up slowly and take rests in between, and since there’s no car or not crowded at all, i had the whole path to myself.
the city view at the top of the hill is beautiful, as it is a sunny day, you can really see very far away and there’s also a group of people filming some dance video there, which is interesting to watch. while this place used to be the castle, you don’t get to see any castle as it was destroyed and was never rebuilt. there’s VR service available for tourist who is interested to see what it used to be like though.
i walked around a bit and found a shrine, which is always nice to visit. miyagiken gokoku shrine 宮城縣護國神社 is not huge, but a decent size and it also look quite nice, i bought some souvenirs for my friend and myself too. after exploring around for a while, i found out that there’s a bus service to take me back to town, so of course i took that and went back to sendai station for lunch.
as beef tongue is a specialty in sendai, i found that there’s a whole row of restaurants dedicated to gyutan at the station, i chose a restaurant that has good review and queued up for it as all restaurants there are packed and super crowded during lunch time. zenjirou たんや善治郎 has quite a simple menu with different cuts and quantity for their set meal, you also get white rice, yam and beef soup with the meal which is very nice. i ordered 4 pieces of thick cut gyutan and it was really really good, i like the simple flavor, the charcoaled taste and the chewy texture of the beef tongue, it goes very well with rice and the soup is quite li8ght and refreshing to complete the meal.
after a satisfying meal, i stop by the zunda saryo ずんだ茶寮 to get the edamame shake. this is also a popular item from sendai, it is very refreshing, sort of like fruit smoothie, but the bean taste is light and refreshing, i really do enjoyed this very much. they also sell some snacks and souvenir which you can buy and bring home.
for the afternoon, i took the local train to matsushima for a boat ride to check out the beautiful islands around matsushima bay 松島湾. apparently, this view is one of the most beautiful and highly recommended. i booked the boat ride ahead so there’s a discount, however, you can also buy tickets on the spot as well.
the boat has huge windows so you can sit inside and look out to enjoy the view while listening to the narration (in japanese), which is a very relaxing thing to do. there’s also a special cabin on the upper floor which require extra fees, so i didn’t go there. the other option is to go outside and enjoy the sea breeze which is fun and great for photos. the view is already very nice, and adding sunset to it make it even better as the water color just changes over time. it is definitely worth checking this out as it was beautiful and such a relaxing activity.
once we are back from the boat ride, i decided to visit a cafe before leaving, as i do still have time until my dinner appointment. shokado cafe 松華堂菓子店 is just by the seaside and they sell various kind of rice crackers, snacks and dessert as souvenir. i ordered hojicha with  a kinako sandwich (soybean flour puff) きなこサンド to enjoy while looking at the sea and sunset. the cafe is not busy hence it is the perfect place to just chill and have a good time.
for dinner, shiogama is a nearby town where it is known to have the most sushi restaurants in whole of japan. and the fish here is super fresh and not being frozen because it is so close by to the sea. my friend helped me make a reservation at sushi shirahata 鮨 しらはた, and i reached there slightly earlier and the staff are super nice and friendly.
with my limited japanese, i managed to ask the chef for some recommendations and what is fresh and good for the day and picked out the food i want to eat. i ordered hotate and shirako (fish semen) for appetizer, sashimi and a sushi platter. the appetizer is actually amazing, there’s a difference in texture for the hotate (scallops) between the ones i enjoyed in aomori and this one. both of them is very good and there’s no fishy taste at all, in fact this is very refreshing with the sauce. shirako is a weird dish, but i quite like it as the texture is so smooth and soft.
sashimi is made of out three type of fish that the chef recommended, all of them have different texture and taste, which is very enjoyable, some lighter taste and some heavier, it’s just so so satisfying to have good sashimi that just give you a different sensation every bite.
sushi platter has 10 piece of sushi with a slice of tamagoyaki. each piece is made so beautifully the whole plate is like an art itself. there’s different type of tuna, local fish, hotate, uni, anago and more. during the whole meal, i had a good time chatting with the chef while he is preparing my food, i’m glad that i get to use my japanese, while it is no where near perfect, at least he did understand what i said.
the service here is really awesome, the restaurant was quiet and the ambiance was really comfortable. the meal also included a bowl of hot shrimp soup and pear sorbet at the end to complete the meal. the whole experience is amazing and definitely highly recommended as i do feel the quality of fresh fish is better  here than in tokyo, and i do believe it is less pricey as well. i would love to be back again if there’s chance in the future.
heading back to sendai, i picked up my luggage from the hotel and also bought some souvenir from zunda saryo before boarding the shinkansen back to tokyo, which also marks the end of my tohoku exploration using my 5 days jr east pass. this pass is so worth it as i got to visit so many amazing places, i do love all the smaller towns and the scenery is just amazing. being able to see snow and play with snow is wonderful as well. there’s definitely so much more to explore as tohoku area is huge, so i would definitely like to visit again in the future.
for next day onwards, it’s gonna be tokyo and places around tokyo, to be continued...

A Smile Written in the Stars
Rating: General
Summary: Sasuke has returned to the modern days without Mai who stayed in the Sengoku era together with Masamune Date. The fate tore them apart but that was exactly how things were supposed to be.
Written as a commission for @emmipon.
You can ask about commissions via DM.
Tumblr media
The ruins of Aoba Castle stood white against the sky. Sasuke shaded his eyes with his hand as the stinging heat of the sun hit his lenses and tried to blind him. This year, he hadn't returned to the Honnoji memorial for the anniversary, though the wormhole research might have provided an excuse for that. No, it was time to move on. Fate had brought him to this moment, so it was worth seizing what it offered him.
Yet the past held on to the hem of his jacket. Not painfully, but tightly, nonetheless. So once a year from now, Sasuke was determined to make a journey to all the places whose splendor he had witnessed 500 years ago. This time also to a place he had never had the chance to visit but whose importance could not be denied. As he followed his guide through the castle's corridors, he breathed in a history that had once been the reality. His reality for four years, Mai's reality even now... if you could think of it that way.
"Date Masamune was known for, among other things..." The guide's words poured out of Sasuke's ears without revealing anything new. He had lived in the same era as Date Masamune, and before that had heard numerous stories from his parents. He had known that this trip would bring no surprises, but still, its importance could not be denied. It was a tribute to a man whose determination Sasuke had to admire. Not just as a warlord, but as a holder of Mai’s heart.
"It is said that this room belonged to Date Masamune's wife, who was known as a skilled and passionate seamstress. Numerous ladies traveled to Sendai Prefecture to order a kimono made by Maihime."
This time the guide's words made Sasuke stop. They jolted something close to his heart, made it shudder so hard he couldn't even breathe for a moment.
Mai.
Sasuke took a closer look at the room. Its tatami rugs, which were probably not from 500 years ago, though. Mai hadn't stood on those rugs, but the kimono that hung out looked like the one Sasuke had once seen Mai in. Similar, at least.
"The story of Maihime has remained a mystery, and not a single historian has been able to discover who she truly was. She is believed to have come from a good family with alliances with the Date clan. Other stories suggest that Maihime may have had connections with the Oda clan, but no certainty has been found."
Sasuke made sure his face did not falter, but he couldn't help his inner chuckle. He had the answers to all the questions that historians had been spinning as they investigated Maihime's secrets. Yet Sasuke would not tell. He would keep Mai's secret and every other grain of information about the warlords of the Sengoku era hidden from historians. Not all things were meant for the public and a ninja - if anyone - had to know how to keep his secrets. Even if shinobi skills were of little use in modern times, there were still certain things you could hold on to. 500 years did not wipe everything away.
"Masamune and Maihime had several sons..."
So Mai had lived a good life. Again, Sasuke let the guide's speech drift away and followed the group into another room. He wandered through the entire tour, concentrating on seeing the details that were still visible in the castle.
This was good. Mai had been able to walk these halls, sew, and live alongside the man she loved. The idea felt right. Fate had drawn both, Sasuke and Mai, into the past and wrapped its knots around them. Mai's part had been to remain as a piece of history as a princess who captured the heart of the famous warlord completely.  Sasuke's part had been to return. So, it had been written in the stars that shone in the sky 500 years ago and still do today.
Everything had gone exactly as it should.
The sun had traveled to the other side of the castle ruins when Sasuke stepped into the blaze again. He turned to look again at the glowing white buildings, whose beauty was undeniable. At the same time, however, a steady, gentle thumping sound bounced into his ears. The rhythm he had come to know so well over the past months.
"I’m sorry for being so late…" The nasal, chirping voice caressed Sasuke even before he met the dark, yet glimmering gaze.
A hand grabbed Sasuke’s sleeve and tugged, making him chuckle. “Emi?”
When Sasuke turned around, his arms were full of the slender body and the dark hair that curled over her shoulders. The frames of her glasses poked his chin as Emi buried her face against his neck.
"Did you like the castle tour?" The young woman pulled back from the hug. A smile beamed on her lips.
It was beautiful. Unforgettable. A smile written in stars.
Sasuke was destined to return to this time, otherwise that smile would never have found him.

Ooohhh hi Ally!! I’d love to hear your thoughts on this: what do you think Masamune would be like if he found out you were having twins? 👀
He would actually cry. Like, without a doubt.
Your belly is growing so quickly and there's concern from everyone in Aoba.
Of course those helping to care for you know whats going on almost immediately, certainly before you do.
They urge you to take it easier around the castle for the babies.
"Babies? Plural?"
Masamune doesn't say anything and his face froze.
Once you find out and it's just the two of you, he brings you into his lap so carefully. He kisses you even as he's tearing up and presses his forehead to your belly.
He lifts his head just a little to press a kiss to the right side of your belly. Then the left.
"Babies. Plural. How lucky are we?"
9ydoyfiydiyfoucohcohckhxkgskyeoydiyf I've broken my own brain this is FINE (Andy you know just how to ruin me)

Prince Iwa-Chan
Oikawa!Sister x Iwaizumi Hajime
Tumblr media
a/n: it aggravates me that my mans bara-arms-iwa-chan is so UNDERRATED!!!!
Tumblr media
requests open!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
like look mom, im in love
ofc youre an oikawa
tbh, i dont think iwa wouldve been comfortable w you when yall first met
lets say youre a year younger than tooru
its a well-known fact that theyve been friends since they were really young so you, being oiks’ baby sister, was also part of your little trio
like lets say they met when they were 6
that would make you about 5
since yall have an older sister, you were exposed to the girly girl stuff like dolls and princesses
ngl, tooru was too thats why hes so flamboyant
but seems his fashion style refutes that
ya didnt hear that from me
anyways
tooru had already developed a deep fascination w volleyball bc he saw it being played during the 2000 summer olympics
but you remained w your sister and continued letting her treat you like a princess
im not really sure how old his sister is but lets say she was about around middle school when you were 5-6
however, tooru still made you play w him even though you didnt know how but you didnt care bc you were close w your brother so you would play ball w him
then came along iwaizumi hajime that tooru met from school
he found out that this boy also liked volleyball and tooru yeeted them both home so they could go and play at the back yard
you peeked from your window and you just thought iwa was the most handsome boy youve ever met
ofc, you just bolted down the stairs to where your brother and his friend was
oiks saw you standing by the door w a red face and him, being still a child and not understanding crushes, thought you were sick
he went to you and beckoned hajime to follow him inside
tooru sat you down and asked if you were okay but you just kept staring at hajime
he figured that you were just confused as to who this person was
‘oh! iwa-chan! this is my little sister, y/n! y/n, this is my classmate, iwaizumi hajime!’
cue iwa hitting him at the head
‘i can introduce myself perfectly fine, bakakawa!’
iwaizumi hajime,,,
iwaizumi hajimeee,
iwaizumi y/n
that thought made you turn even redder and you squealed in embarrassment before running back to your room
lmao what
if your personality doesnt align w this, i deeply apologize
i just think if you were an oikawa, you would bound to immediately also be drawn to this handsome specimen named iwaizumi hajime
he be getting the oikawas though
iwa was actually concerned but oiks waved it off
‘don’t worry, iwa-chan. shes weird like that. lets go toss the ball!’
so that was kinda how he met you
now, since hajime basically lived in your house by how much him and your brother hung out, youve slowly mellowed out and gotten to be friends w him
despite your hatred w bugs, you still went w them to explore just bc you wanted to be around hajime
lmao tooru youre now irrelevant
hajime didnt mind and he always made sure you were okay with the adventures of the day
even though you were only like a year younger, he cant help but baby you bc of your much smaller height than him and overall cute baby face
one day, they both came home from school all sweaty bc they raced home
‘iwa-chan! you can settle in the living room while i go shower!’
‘don’t call me iwa-chan, bakakawa!’
‘then stop calling me that!’
he sat down on the couch and started doing his homework when he heard you come home from school
lmao how do little japanese kids go back and forth from school to home at the age of 6
idek how to cross the street
‘tadaima’
‘oh, okaeri, y/n’
you perked up at his voice and you ran to the living room, seeing him
‘iwa-chan!’
he grunted and you threw yourself to him in a hug
if your personality doesnt align w this, i deeply apologize
i just think if you were an oikawa, you would bound to immediately also be drawn to this handsome specimen named iwaizumi hajime
part 2
tbh it doesnt even faze him anymore since you do this to him every time
he continues doing homework and just wraps one arm around you and starts patting your head
‘tooru-nii?’
‘shower’
‘okay’
then silence
but its the good kind of silence
you and iwa just sit there with you snuggled up on him while he continues to add numbers
then it was ruined
by the pterodactyl oikawa tooru who comes flying down the stairs and glomps on to iwa’s other side
‘y/n-chan! stop hogging iwa-chan!’
‘he’s mine, tooru-nii!!’
you pout while iwa turns and gives him a glare
‘shut up, bakakawa! and stop calling me that!’
‘aahh!! you were mine first, iwa-chan!’
‘i was never yours! be quiet!’
‘itai, iwa-chan!’
‘he’s mine forever! we’re going to get married so butt out, nii-chan!’
‘HAH?!’
once everything calms down, yall actually start your homework and work
‘anything happen today, y/n-chan?’
oikawa always asked that question bc he believes its his duty as older brother to be caught up in your life
thats actually annoying bruv
‘hmm, me and the girls in my class were playing princess tea party today and a boy asked to be my prince.’
‘WHAT!’
oikawa is 7 now and he faintly has an idea about crushes and his father made him promise that he would protect you from nasty boys
‘calm down, bakakawa’
iwa mumbled, continuing his homework but also paying attention
‘WHAT!? NO! WHATD YOU SAY, Y/N-CHAN! YOUR BROTHER IS THE ONLY PRINCE YOU NEED!’
‘i told him i already have a prince’
oikawa was so smug and crossed his arms
‘hm, serves them right-’
‘prince iwa-chan and i are going to get married and live in a castle so there’s no room for anybody else’
iwa had to double check and turned red really fast
like who was this iwa-chan
wait, what his name?
his name has iwa in it
is he iwa-chan?
y/n’s prince iwa-chan?
was he really iwa-chan?
‘NO! YOUR NII-SAN IS YOUR PRINCE! IWA-CHAN CAN BE YOUR KNIGHT OR SOMETHING! BUT IM YOUR PRINCE!’
you glared at tooru and shook your head
‘no. iwa-chan is my prince’
you were so shamless about this fact
lmao i want your confidence
from then on, youve called iwa as your prince
like his name on your phone is literally prince iwa-chan
then when you were in middle school, you’ve started calling iwa as haji-senpai
there wasnt even a large event that spawned this
well,,, actually,,
youve noticed that iwa hated the nickname ‘iwa-chan’ a lot and he hit tooru many times bc of it so you stopped calling him that bc you didnt want him to be mad at you
so you started calling him senpai bc he was technically an upperclassman
when you first called him this, iwa was lowkey shook
‘haji,,,, senpai?’
you nodded from your spot on the couch, not looking up from your homework
‘see? i can only call iwa-chan, iwa-chan! OOF!’
that was iwa hitting tooru at the face with his pencil case
‘y/n, you dont have to call me that. we’ve known each other since we were little so you dont have to call me by an upperclassman term’
you shrugged
‘i know. but you dont like it when you’re called iwa-chan, do you?’
‘not if it’s by this trash’
he jutted a thumb to the fallen tooru
‘so,,,, iwa-chan is fine?’
your eyes sparkled at the permission of being able to freely call him that without worry
he gulps at your face and turns away to hide his red face before nodding
‘my prince iwa-chan!’
‘no! my iwa-chan!’
‘shut up shittykawa!’
‘itai, iwa-chan!’
keeping up with the oikawas
this nickname will forever be stuck
since you went to the same middle school, you were known to be around your brother and iwa and even staying behind for practice to walk home w them
it became a bit of a joke to the team of you picking up your prince
one day, a teammate called iwa, ‘prince iwa-chan’ and he almost busted a fuse
was ready to square up bc only his babie can call him that
but when you came through the door
‘prince iwa-chan! your princess is here!’
he turned all soft and squishy and pats your head so gently that they couldnt believe this is the same boy who is the ace
you were interested in volleyball so you were kinda friends w the team but you didnt really care for the sport, mainly focusing on your academics
thats how it really was for you three
they focused on sports while you studied
oh my here comes highschool
oikawa and iwa were already known throughout the FREAKING PREFECTURE bc of how TALENTED THEY ARE AT VOLLEYBALL
and you were already known by your pretty face and your cute personality
basically genderbent oikawa
and just wanted to stop you from reading by telling you that you are beautiful and you are a KWEEN and you are a GODDESS and confidence is the most beautiful thing to wear and best of all, it’s free!!
ofc, youd have to go to aoba johsai bc your brother was there
‘y/n-chan! you need to go where your brother is! you love him, don’t you?’
‘sure, tooru’
you actually went to seijoh bc you would see iwa
you didnt hear that from me
your first day, boys (and gals) were already flocking towards you when they saw you walking with iwa and tooru
still being the overprotective brother since day1, oikawa was just snarling at anyone getting close to his baby sister
lmao what baby
hes only like a year older
but iwa was being terrirorial protective bc he finds it as an obligation as tooru’s best friend and your childhood friend
when oiks wasn’t paying attention and being drowned by his fangirls, iwa was your bodyguard
there was this one boy who started walking towards you as yall were going to your class but hajime placed an arm around your waist and pulled you closer
‘oh? i’m only at the first floor, iwa-chan. don’t get all clingy now’
lmao, girl hes trying to show that boy that hes your unofficial mans and will cut off his family jewels if he tries to even BREATHE in your direction
umm,,, iwa’s not yandere in this one yall
iwa just rolls his eyes and makes you walk forward until yall are at your door
‘i’ll see you later, iwa-chan!’
‘yea yea. i’ll pick you up’
he starts to walk down the hallway but you poke your head back out and shout
‘i miss you already, prince iwa-chan!’
he turns red all over and freezes for a 0.0002 seconds before raising a hand without turning around
now ladies and genitals
this is when iwa-chan starts to catch feelings like he catches them spikes
your cute smling face and saying his dumb nickname that he actually loves was like a recipe for a stroke for him
it has come to the point at the mere thought of you would make him all flustered and red
it tripled over when this happened:
puberty was kinda late for you and you actually just woke up looking like a goddess one day and you were like, lmao what
your chest just ballooned up and your height just skyrocketed that your skirt was now very short
ew i dont know what i would do in this situation
you were self-conscious about this and was kinda scared
obvs, you would scream for your mother and she and your father and brother bolts up to your bedroom thinking there was a whole michael meyers in your room
but when you explained that your uniform doesnt fit anymore, she starts making appointments to get you fitted for another one
but you had to wait for a few days
so you went to school looking like a whole snacc
more of a snacc than you did before
when iwa saw you, he had a literal nosebleed in the middle of campus and runs to the bathroom to get all cleaned up
why in the name of asahi do you look like that?!
when you saw your prince look at you in horror and run away, you cried
you were already very self-conscious and him doing that just topped the cake
cake that tooru doesnt have
oop imsorry
tooru reassures you that he had a nosebleed and he was just sick and ran to not get any blood on his clothes
but you just walked away with your head down low
it didnt matter to you if this caught all the student body’s attention
that their precious oikawa y/n, little sister of the oikawa tooru, was a walking perfection goddess Venus
all that you cared about was iwa’s opinions bc he was your prince and your best friend
girl, accept that you actually like the mans
this was the worst day of your entire life and you went straight to your locker to get your gym clothes out and wear it for the day
it was tight but at least it covered skin
and it still attracted enough attention to be catcalled and whistled at
it felt violating
the entire morning, there was more attention and more people flocked over to you and guys were staring at you as if you were a piece of meat, not a girl
‘harry potter is a boy! not a piece of meat!’
sorry i cant help it
you were so uncomfortable that you called your brother during lunch time to come pick you up for lunch bc you were too scared to walk alone after being catcalled during your walk to your class
tooru sends out iwa to go help you as an apology from this morning and he just runs to your class bc you were in trouble and he was going to protect you!!
go iwa-chan!
he finds you sitting on your chair, looking down at your desk as there seemed to be boys piled up on top of each other, trying to get your attention
first world problems, amirite
‘OI!’
that angry grunt but at 2x bass boosted
hearing his voice, you were still embarrassed from earlier but you were so relieved
‘iwa-chan!’
iwa pushes people away and he grabs your hand to pull you up before wrapping an arm around your waist, protectively
‘if i see you idiots making her uncomfortable or even trying to touch her, i will destroy you’
protection and the feeling of safety is my fave
he leads you out of there to the stairway where him and his teammates were eating
he held your hand tightly and you squeezed it, trying to show that you were grateful
even if they were still male, your brother was there and if something happened, they were both strong enough to take them on
besides, its just mattsun and maki anyways
tooru saw you and he hugged you before leading you to the 2 others
‘guys, this is y/n, my sister. that’s mattsun and that’s makki.’
you slightly smiled and raised a hand in greeting
‘yo’
‘hello’
to be safe, iwa made you sit a step down from him so that if something happens, he could protect you
idk how but you do you boo
‘i can protect her too, iwa-chan!’
‘shut up, shittykawa. youre literally sticks and bones’
‘so mean! iwa-chan, you’re so mean!’
you giggled, head leaning down to rest on iwa’s right thigh since you were full and tired and he runs his hand through your hair
mattsun and makki shared a look before asking
‘are you dating our ace, y/n-chan?’
at the mention of dating, you both turned red and you sat up
‘OF COURSE NOT, MATTSUN, MAKKI!’
iwa shouts but his red face and ears betrayed him
‘iwa-chan grew up with us so he’s naturally like that. we’ve adopted him into our family!’
oikawa explained but you looked at him and he gave you a knowing look
oh he noticed everything
the lingering looks during practice
the bashful smiles during hang outs at home
unnecessary touches during the walk to school
oikawa may be annoying but he’s observant and he is smart
after that fiasco, the two boys were a little wary of letting you walk home alone so iwa offered to take you since he was already making more progress and didnt need extra practice while tooru wanted to practice more
‘iwa-chan, can we go to your house this time?’
he turned to look at you curiously since you never ask to go to his place
‘i miss your mom and ive been meaning to go visit her. so can we, iwa-chan?’
you squeezed his hand and showcased your pleading look making him agree
‘fine’
his house wasn’t a frequently hung out spot since your house was closer but you were still familiar with his home since his mother was fond of you
‘tadaima’
mama iwaizumi peaked from the kitchen and greeted him home before squealing at the sight of the youngest oikawa
‘oh my, y/n-chan! hello!’
‘hello, auntie!’
she gave you a big hug and you returned it with a laugh
iwa just standing there to the side with a smile bc his mom approves so all is good in life
‘you’ve grown so much, y/n-chan! so much prettier too!’ you turned bashful at her compliments.
then she leaned forward to whisper in your ear but made her voice loud
‘say, has my son finally ask you to be his girlfriend?’
omg mama iwaizumi really ships it
iwa turns red and complains to his mom about being in his business too much
‘don’t be so timid, hajime! y/n-chan could be taken from under your nose any minute now!’
‘dont you think i know that’ he mumbles but very lowly so that no one hears him
but you decide to tease him more
‘no. but i’m waiting for it. i’ll tell you once he does, auntie!’
fed up with the teasing, he grabs you and drags you up to his room to change into comfortable clothing
you sit on his bed while he rummages through his closet for a sweatshirt and sweatpants
‘here! change into these!’ he shouts, still flustered and refusing to look at your eyes
youre an oikawa and you lived to tease so you stood up, tossing the clothes to the side and wrapping your arms around his neck
ooo gurl you want iwa to die today, don’t you?
he gets even redder and scowls
‘oi, y/n, what are you doing’
you shook your head
‘nothing. i just miss my prince iwa-chan. you were so brave for saving me today, prince iwa-chan’
the nickname used to not affect him that much but now, he watches the it fall from your cherry lips
‘say my name’
you furrowed your eyebrows
‘iwa-chan?’
he gently shakes his head no
‘my real name’
‘iwaizumi hajime’
you say, distracted at the way his mouth moves
‘and what’s yours?’
‘iwaizumi y/n’
you breathed out
he growls softly before taking your sinful lips
wowza jesus took the wheel bc he stepped on that pedal
we going straight 100 mph up in this bih
iwa really said, ‘skip the confession. imma go straight for my babie girl’s lips. also, proposal who? let’s go get married in vegas!’
it wasnt even been literally 15 minutes until you came bounding the stairs wearing hajime’s signature grey hoodie with his seijoh sweatpants and calling for your auntie to announce you were now dating are going to get married
‘WHAT!?’
she screams and comes running from the kitchen, holding a ladle
you flashed a grin while iwa shows a small smile with red cheeks from behind you before telling you that you were both too young to get married
‘i told ya you would be the first to know’
after dinner, you call your brother and hes like, ‘okay, since you’re not at home i’m assuming youre at iwa’s’

King!Oikawa x assassin!prisoner!reader
Tumblr media
Author’s Note : This is the request for a prisoner reader and king Oikawa Au which is literally spiraled into a series. I am not sorry ; Everything will come to a close once the 5th installment is completed ; the request had “torture” and I didn’t realize until halfway through that torture probably wasn’t what you meant, but you’re gonna have to be more specific of what you want because I saw it and went “oh, noncon and maybe some actual hitting.” So, sorry if that’s not what you wanted.
Tumblr media
Warnings: death of a minor character [no name OC], blood, dagger, noncon, degradation, kicking, Oikawa gets violent, Iwaizumi turns a blind eye, chains and dungeons, fingering, creampie, no aftercare, choking

Over the river and past the glen stands Fukurōdani, Kingdom in the Mountains that is under the rule of King Bokuto. The ruthless king that stands amongst his army as the bravest and strongest warrior, with his queen Kaori at his side. Deep in the castle, past the kitchen and deep in the dungeons, there sits three people. Amongst those three is a woman clad in all black, a dagger in her hand and a rag in the other, swiping away dark droplets that drip to the concrete floor. Before them, a man without a tongue.
“So, King Oikawa is looking for his bride-to-be, which is why he dared to trespass into the Dark Forest?” A rough voice speaks, his large hand tapping at his chin. His eyes pop open as a thought appears in his head, golden eyes turning to bore into yours. His smile is cunning and terrifying, but you just stare at him. “Maybe someone should see if he got what he was looking for,”
“If you’re suggesting I sneak into his castle, then say it. I don’t like puzzles and riddles, my lord,” your voice is dead, but loud enough to hear over the sharpening of your blade. “It’ll take a long time to get there and get back. Unlike your own kingdom, he has a barrier that is under watch by his loyal dogs.”
“You’re an assassin. Sneaking in is what you do,” he coos, standing from his chair. His presence is behind you, large hands settling onto your shoulders. “I ask of you to sneak into the Kingdom of Aoba Johsai and kill King Oikawa,”
“Excuse me? That’s a bit much,” your voice warbles. Killing a king is harder, much harder, than sneaking under the radar. You would know. “Killing a king isn’t easy, you know,”
“Oh, I know. I know very well, my dear,” his voice is barely audible, lips ghosting the shell of your ear. “But, I can offer something if you succeed,”
“Which is?”
“Freedom. You’ll be able to fly again, my little songbird,” his lips press to your cheek, whirling you around to face him. You have to move your head to look up at him, but he’s grinning with lidded eyes. “You’re more than welcome to decline. Personally, I’d prefer it, however, I know you’re the best assassin I have,”
“Best disposable assassin. Why not send Keiji?”
“Akaashi is supposed to protect me. He can’t do that if he’s in another kingdom,”
“Fine, but only if you keep your promise. I’ll hold you to it,” you finally say, huffing as you sheath the dagger. Never one to not rise to the challenge, you turn on your heel to leave the dungeons.
The trip from Fukurōdani to Aoba Johsai would be a day on foot, but you were able to get to the base of the mountains and enter the Kingdom of Nekoma, which allowed tourists from neighboring kingdoms. There, you were able to get your hands on some rations and new clothes, disguising yourself as a beggar woman who’s traveling the continent.
Pathways lead from each kingdom to their neighbor, but you choose to duck into the forest, under the shadows of the leaves and proud standing trees. Go in too deep and you’ll arrive at the center of the Dark Forest, where the ruin of the Karasuno Kingdom lies. It’s an unspoken forbidden place, only those wishing to never leave dare to go there. Crunching dead leaves and twigs under your feet, you manage to find a clearing to stay for the night. Aoba Johsai is farther than you expected, but the reward of freedom encourages you to keep your head up and move forward. It’s not safe to travel at night, the forest is home to all sorts of beasts.
It’s dark, the birds have stopped their chirping as you rest in the tree. Above the ground, away from monsters lurking in shadows, you close your eyes to get some shuteye. A ear-piercing scream rips sleep from your grasp, head whipping to look for the sound. Below you, about 2 yards from your sleeping position, is a family of travelers that seem to be struggling to scare away a bear. Although it is simply a bear, the family doesn’t seem to be prepared for such a disturbance. Against your logic, your morals win as you take out an arrow and put it into your crossbow. It’s small, but your aim is good enough to get the bear’s attention, roaring as it backs up. Lodged in the shoulder, the bear retreats as it quiets down the roars. The traveling family seems to be relieved at the turn of events, but they then become rigid as you drop from the tree.
“We cannot thank you enough, dear comrade,” the man, most likely the father, says. He goes to get on his knees, but he looks to you. “What— how shall we pay you back?”
This could work, you think. “Where does your family travel to?”
“Seijoh, the Kingdom on the Water. Tales have spread that opportunities are booming and the King is kind and just,” he speaks, but then his words stumble. “I do not-! Kuroo-sama is very gracious! I would give my life for his-!”
“You can stop. I don’t hail from Nekoma, if that’s what you think. I’m from neither kingdom, instead just traveling the continent in search of a new life. Perhaps Seijoh would be the way to go? I originally was going to Nekoma, actually,” you spin the tale you’ve made for yourself, which relieves the man. He straightens his back, his height no more than your own. “Would you let me travel with you? I’ll make sure your travel is safe,”
“Of course! We’d be honored to have the person who saved our lives join us,” he bows once more, then turns to the carriage with his family. “Let’s move on!”
“Yes, let’s,” you agree, joining the man on the bench. He cracks the reins and the horse begins moving once more, as you watch for anything else. Travels alone are scary, but with an entire family looking about and a kind stranger by your side, you won’t have to worry. Getting some sleep is your main focus, now, closing your eyes and letting the man know you’re going to rest.
The carriage stops moving, jolting you from your sleep. Before you lies other carriages and caravans, stretched into a line that leads to a large waterfall. The forest is bright and the birds are chirping as a man barks orders at the families and people attempting to enter. You make small conversation with the family, given a cloak to cover yourself from the chill of the morning dew. When it is time to be inspected, you have to give kudos to King Oikawa and his kingdom, noticing how bright and welcoming his entrance is.
“What is your business in Aoba Johsai?” The man almost growls out. A loyal dog of Oikawa’s, from your earlier words, stands before you. His hair is yellow in color, dark lines running from ear to ear. He catches your gaze, eyes narrowing even more, then looks back to the man.
“A traveling family with hopes to start a new life. I’ve heard great and kind things about Oikawa-sama, so I wish to visit the Kingdom on the Water got opportunity,” It’s a believable reason, and then men searching the items the family has give the okay. The guardian of the waterfall steps back, a shallow nod before he barks orders to move. The waterfall is large and can easily drown someone with how hard and fast the water crashes to the earth. A diamond shelf is embedded in the water, two more soldiers standing on opposite ends as they part the water. Barely enough room for the carriage and family, but once inside, the water crashes back behind you.
Aoba Johsai is breathtaking.
The morning sun glimmers across the water, waves gently rising only to be quelled back down. Birds sing along with the fish jumping out of the water, only to then crash back into calming waters. Pathways built of crystal minerals, harvested from the mines of Dateko, and hold countless travelers who have come on news of the opportunities. Soldiers are posted at every archway, checking to make sure nobody has snuck past the soldiers at the waterfall. Security is top notch at this kingdom, you note, as neither Nekoma nor Fukurōdani have such strong protections before entering the main kingdom. The pathway continues into the main kingdom, the town on the water, where fishermen and merchants attempt to sell a fortune for items only available at their stalls. Your awe must have shown, as the man beside you laughs joyfully.
“Never seen such a sight before, have you?” You shake your head. “It’s beautiful. I wish we could’ve been born here instead. Lots of blues, whites, and greens.”
“I noticed the vast greenery. The open area allows for lots of plants to grow, I suppose. Rivers allow for fish to come and reproduce, as well as allow for aquatic plants. A beautiful cycle of life, with a magical kingdom in the center,” you comment.
“Well, no magic. Magic hasn’t been used in over 100 years, you know. Not since Karasuno’s king fell. Um, I think—“
“King Ukai. I remember the story told to me before bed when I was a wee child. The story of the fallen king and his kingdom.”
“Yes! King Ukai, I hardly remember him,” before he continues, he stops. “Ah, we’ll need to get a room at the Rose Inn, and let the horses stay here at the stables. Would you mind settling our horses in? That way you can explore, if you want, before reaching the inn,”
“That sounds lovely! Thank you, kind sir,” you bow to him and grasp the reins of the horses. The inn is right next to the stables, the grunts working to put the luggage into a room for the night. You smile, turning the horses into the stables. A large man stands posted outside the stables, talking with an older man.
“No problems this week? Seems like you’ve had a stroke of luck, good sir,” the soldier says, laughing as the old man laughs with him.
“I hope it stays that way. Oh, ma’am? Need us to keep your horses?” The man notices you and your eye drifts to the soldier, straightening his back as a lazy smirk appears on his face. Not very threatening with the smile, but his large stature makes you wary.
“Yes, my family is staying at the Rose Inn next door. How long can you keep the horses for?”
“We charge by the night. How much gold do you have?” You hand him the bag of coins the man gave you. He counts them, tallying up the total. “They can stay for five nights.”
“Perfect! Thank you! I’ll tell my father, now!” You now graciously, skipping off and past the guard. His eyes trail after you, but you keep your pace to the inn. You’ll have to explore later. That guard sets you on edge.
The inn is graciously spacious. There’s enough room for each traveler and the cost of the rooms is cheaper than most inns you’ve come across in Nekoma and Fukurōdani. There’s sapphire and quartz lights, flames flickering behind them as the light illuminates and projects farther than most candles. It’s innovative technology, and allows for the rooms to be more lit than dirty and dim taverns. Dinner is also better than expected, the menu being more than a sheet of paper. You order at the bar, ordering a plate of their special dinner, then sit at the bar. The men beside you are drunk, but you hope they don’t cause a scene. Something tells you that the security would deal with a bar fight quite brutally.
By the time dusk has fallen, lights flickering on as lower soldiers and owners of shops alight their street lamps, you’ve explored the town. It’s full of trusting people, so you’ve learned quite a bit. King Oikawa has a personal guard and the captain of the guard almost always by his side, whether he makes an announcement or visits down below. One man, Hanamaki Takahiro, seems to willing to joke and hang out with the townspeople, but the captain is much more stern. Iwaizumi Hajime is the name you were told. He’s dangerous, you gathered, and he’s almost always by Oikawa’s side, protecting his king from harm. As night falls, the soldiers rotate so the ones on the streets are now in the castle, as nobody else enters the kingdom after dusk. Disposable soldiers to patrol, skilled protectors inside and around the king where the nightfall can hide trespassers entering the king’s chambers.
Shedding the clothes you were given so graciously, you’re stripping off the clothes of the soldier posted at the inn. The blood flowing from his chest has turned to a large puddle, so you have to trade your shoes for the soldier’s. Larger than your own feet, but you must bear with it. Leaving the alley, you keep your head low and you pretend to patrol. A glance left. A glance right.
You’re stuck.
Soldiers manage to be spread far enough apart, but not enough. They can see where you stand. You breathe heavily and straighten your back. Time to impersonate a soldier through the night and wait for switching times. A brief memory of the dead soldier in the alley flashes, but you push it back. The body is hidden in shadows, even the sunlight in the morn wouldn’t dare shine on the corpse.
Chickens chirp and a rooster crows, soon the other life awake and the sun rises. Shedding light on your position, you look to the gate that leads into the castle. The captain of the guard stands there, opening the gate as soldiers stand tall behind him. You blend in with the other guards, standing straight as you all prepare to trade positions. However, a woman with hair black as night stands before the group. She has an air about her, but she looks familiar. Iwaizumi lets her go, having one of his shoulders go with her. He’s tall and familiar, the soldier from the stables. They pass by, but the woman catches your eye. Her eyes hold a bit of mischief and mystery, but then she’s gone and her soldier follows with her.
“Alright, switch up! You know your positions!” Captain Iwaizumi shouts. Everyone shouts their agreement and dutifully switch places. Eyes face forward, unwilling to look at the captain that seems to have his gaze focused on you. Every soldier goes their separate ways and you don’t seem to bring attention to where you go, entering a room that you and another guard seem to be assigned to.
“Don’t fuck this up, Wakashu,” the soldier beside you grunts. You glance at him, wondering if he’s talking to you, but he thankfully looks to be hyping himself up. Pushing the doors open, you understand why.
It’s the throne room.
King Oikawa sits on his throne as he chats with two people beside him — Hanamaki Takahiro and one of the guardians from the waterfall. Your hair stands on edge, noticing the familiar yellow hair and dark lines, but you attempt to quell your nervousness. The king notices you both, nodding as you both go to positions on either side of the doors. Gatekeepers, essentially.
“It’s sad to see Kiyo-chan leave so soon. I’d hope she would’ve stayed another night to think about her decision,” the king huffs and sighs, brown locks swishing side to side as he shakes his head. “Guess it can’t be helped,”
“She probably thought you were too much of a brat,” Hanamaki snickers. Oikawa huffs again, turning to his guard. “I speak the truth! You expect her to like someone like you? With a shitty personality?”
“Excuse me! My personality is perfect and women should be lining up to be my queen! I thought only Iwa-chan would be mean to me,” he pouts, cheeks puffed out. It’s almost a cute scene. Almost.
Which is promptly ruined.
The doors fling open, you and the other soldier startled by the sudden opening. Iwaizumi and another soldier are huffing as they stop before the throne. Oikawa’s eyes go from friendly to seriousness, his posture changing as he looks down on the captain and an underling. “Speak.”
“A soldier was found dead in the alley,” you and the other soldier immediately go on edge, but for different reasons. “This one found the body,”
Oikawa turns his attention to the soldier, who immediately goes rigid and explains the scene. He also mentions the boots found at the crime scene, which he has in his hand. Coated with dried blood, they’re obviously yours. The guard from the waterfall recognizes them and you panic.
“I’ve seen them before! Someone came into the kingdom with those shoes yesterday morning,” he growls out, then he looks to you, who doesn’t move a muscle. Moving would make a scene, so you of course stay still, but he stares. “You. What’s with the cut on your shirt?”
Shit.
In the dark of night, you didn’t notice the slash in the shirt. The darkened coloring prevented the blood from showing, but the slash showed that something happened. It’s not a cut like dodging a weapon, but more of a stab. Fight or flight response kicks in, so you choose the latter. You got your information, you didn’t kill Oikawa, but it’s better than getting caught. You swing the door open and shut it, bolting down the corridors as you shed the armor. Lighten the load, faster you run. It’s not long until the soldier from before stops you, tall and imposing. You’d remember those stupid eyebrows from anywhere.
“What’s a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this?” He grins, but his grip is strong. You have a feeling he knew you’d be running soon. Footsteps approach behind you, then you’re pulled from the soldier’s grip and forced onto your knees. Chains are placed on your wrists and Iwaizumi grunts.
“Wonder who you’re working for,” he says. Oikawa is behind him, looking at you with the same look he gave to his soldier and Iwaizumi.
“Take her to the dungeons. I’ll see who she works for later.”
The tug of the restraints gets you off your knees, following Iwaizumi and his guard dog, the yellow haired one. Both of them prevent you from running and getting free of the restraints.
In the dungeons, you notice the materials. Similar to the pathway into the town, the dungeon bars are made of a shimmering mineral and you’re suddenly behind the bars. The restraints from before are removed, but your wrists are then placed into more chains along the ground. “Try and get out and see how well that works,” the yellow one grunts. Iwaizumi snaps his fingers and the soldier follows, leaving the dungeon.
“She’ll see soon enough, Kyotani,” the captain says, locking you in. “I’m sure the fight hasn’t completely left her,”
Then they leave. You’re all alone and you’ve failed your mission, but they’re right. You still have some fight left.
Hours pass by as you finally feel the fight leave you. There’s only one guard in the dungeons, but he’s nowhere near you. A thin man with ash brown hair stands posted at the base of the stairs, farthest from your cell. At first, you thought they lacked brains with security in the dungeons, seeing as you’re the only criminal behind bars, but the chains proved otherwise. Each movement you made, every breath you took, every grunt you voiced, the chains knew. They pulled tighter as if they had minds of their own, but they would loosen to their proper place if you were still for a certain amount of time.
Footsteps on marble stairs has you and the guard on alert. Looking towards the stairs, you see the king himself coming towards you. He smirks once he’s outside your cell. Iwaizumi stands next to him, not Hanamaki, and unlocks the door. “Are you comfortable?”
“No.”
“Well, could we help change that?”
“No.”
“Not much of a talker, are you?” Oikawa grins, crooked with a hint of anger. “I’ll get to the point. Who are you, who sent you, and what was your goal? I’m sure killing one of my disposable guards wasn’t the goal?” You don’t speak, so that angers him even more. It’s quick, the stinging in your jaw and the blood in your mouth the only indications his foot collided with your face. “Once more. Who are you?”
“My name is none of your business and neither is my home. My goal was to send that stupid head off your shoulders. Happy?” Your eyes stay narrowed, but he seems delighted at your answer.
“Treason, trespassing, and murder. I should kill you for this, but I wonder where you’re from,” he then has an unhinged desire in his eyes, grin splitting into something sinister. “I’ll keep you alive until you spill,”
“I’d rather eat your shoe again. What king wears white thigh-high boots, anyways? Your guards don’t respect you, they tolerate you. A worthless king with no pride, that’s all you are. I won’t bow to someone or kneel under their pressure when they have a weak resolve and no power. Admit it, you don’t run the kingdom, your soldiers do.”
A swift kick is administered, Oikawa’s breath heaving as he pants. His face is red with anger, frown evident on his face, but you’re grinning. Blood may be dripping from your mouth, but you know you’re right. He inhales sharply, then turns to Iwaizumi. “Understood,” he nods in response, leaving the keys on the wall as he goes to leave. Iwaizumi also takes the guard posted with him. You don’t understand why, but you don’t have much time to think about that.
“I may seem like a worthless king with little to no pride, but that’s all I have. My worthless pride. My guards and soldiers respect me because I am the power here,” he growls out, hand tugging on your hair that sends you collapsing against the ground. The chains pull in your arms, keeping you down as he straddles you. “You may not bow to me, but I’ll find out who you do bow to. I’ll rip every bit of fight out of you, beginning today,”
“Get off, you pervert!” Your screams echo against marble, reaching nobody’s ears. Oikawa goes to strip away the stolen clothes, eyes narrowing as he feels the dried blood against your chest. Ripping off the shirt, he exposes your breasts.
“Maybe I should take you as my royal lover, seeing as your body is supple and warm, perfect for someone to come to after a long day of work,” he grins, wicked and perverse as he looks at you. “What do you say, sweetheart?”
“Fuck off!” You scream, legs kicking and body squirming. He sighs and shrugs.
“No use, apparently. Then, let’s see how the rest of you feels,” he licks his lips as he shuffled down your pants. He’ll have to get you some other clothes, ones with easier access than the ones of his soldiers. The pants are off and he mocking coos at you, fingers sliding around the waistband of your panties to have them snap against your skin. “Pretty. All white and innocent, aren’t you? That’s what the panties say, but I bet you’d look better in black, since you’re probably not innocent.” He doesn’t get a response, so he continues talking. “I’ll give you some blue ones later, they’ll suit your skin tone and match the bars of your holding cell. Aren’t I generous?”
He’s pulling the fabric down, your legs spread as he does. He expects your goods to be dry, absolutely unprepared, but to his surprise, glimmering strings connect your pussy to your removed panties, falling and breaking as he continues to bare yourself to him. A laugh escapes him, fingers pressing into your folds. “You’re getting off on being manhandled? Seems like you’re the pervert, sweetie,” he coos, licking a hot stripe of saliva against your cheek. It’s disgusting and revolting, but you can’t say anything against it. You’ve been in a similar position before, your body seems to not be able to tell the difference between men.
Oikawa’s fingers delve into your cunt, scissoring as he feels around. Rubbing against your walls, he’s pleased when your back arches and a moan escapes your lips, only for a hand to come and cover your mouth. It’s soon removed, the chains pulling your arm back down. Oikawa continues his violation of your most sensitive area, thumb rubbing against your clit as his fingers move and rub inside you. The building knot in your stomach tightens and tightens, muscles tensing as you feel your orgasm coming on. You can feel it, it’s almost there, a moan escaping— then it’s gone. Oikawa’s hand has been removed, tongue flicking over the wet digits as he moans himself.
“Definitely not a virgin by the way you’re acting. A proper whore, you are,” he doesn’t expect an answer, standing on his knees as he goes to unbuckle his belt. Eyes widen as you realize he’s actually going all the way, but he just smirks down at you. Removing his cock from his pants, you stare at it. It’s almost beautiful, you think, staring at the slender cock and how it seems to just compliment his personality and how he holds himself. A hand wraps around the shaft of it, pumping as his darkened gaze lingers on your spread legs. Well, what’s between them. “Hope you’re ready,”
Although you most certainly are not, he doesn’t care. Pushing his tip into your cunt, he finds it hard to push too far. You’re not relaxed in his hold, tensed at his entrance into your velvety walls. His hand comes to your throat, pushing his thumb on your windpipe. “Any words?”
“Fuck off,” you mutter, eyes rolling as he plunges inside you. Pushing past your barriers and spreading you open wide, he’s not the biggest or longest you’ve ever had, but he’s by no means small. It takes effort to adjust to his length, but he doesn’t allow it. Once he’s in, he’s pulling out only to snap his hips back to yours. Your throat is free of his hold, his hand moving to hook your leg over his arm as his other hand is placed beside you. It’s a horrible thing, finding yourself enjoying his thrusts and how each roll of his hips seem to add to your pleasure. His own moans, much louder than yours, seem to prove he’s finding his own pleasure inside you.
Oikawa’s soon picking up his pace, his lips next to your ear as you mewl from pleasure. “Acting like a proper whore. You’d make a fine lover, chained to my side permanently,” he murmurs, lips pressing to your hot skin. He doesn’t get an answer, but he has a feeling your answer is no. Yet, he finds himself getting lost in his own pleasure that he’s soon slamming his hips into you even faster. When he feels his orgasm coming, he leans back and applies pressure to your clit. Your squeal of pleasure has your walls creaming around him and sucking him in. He’s not far behind, rutting his hips against you as he spills his cum inside, your walls milking him of every drop.
When the high passes, he’s removing his limp cock from your hole as his cum oozes out. It drips and plops onto the floor beneath you, but he finds it mesmerizing. Maybe, just maybe, he’ll have to come back.
The shutting and locking of the doors tells you he’s gone, leaving the dungeons and you all alone. With his seed still gushing from your cunt, you have a feeling he’ll be visiting you tomorrow, too.
He wants to break you. You refuse to bend. Each night, you’ll find yourself looking forward to his company.

Are there any historic sights you recommend visiting in Japan? Any castles?
There’s castles and temples and shrines everywhere :(
Can you specify if there’s a particular person you’d like to see relevant sites/artifact of?
For example, the modern Aichi prefecture is comprised of Owari and Mikawa, so if you’re interested in Nobunaga or Ieyasu, you can go there and explore the cities. There’s all sorts of historical sites, from battle grounds to castles (e.g Kiyosu Castle, Nagoya Castle).
If you like Masamune, you go to Sendai. There’s Date everything in that area, but the castle ruins there is Aoba Castle (more featured in Ikemen Sengoku than SLBP, and there’s literally nothing to look at because the castle is gone). If you want to see Yonezawa, it’s now more famous to be an Uesugi site, and its main attraction is the Uesugi shrine.
And there’s always Kyoto.

I Wish I Was the Moon: Interlude in Which Ieyasu Has a Nightmare
Someone on A03 asked for an interlude of poor Ieyasu suffering through adopting MC and related wedding hijinks and I couldn’t resist the idea XD
                                           ─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“Ieyasu is starting to look like the more reasonable choice at this point,” Mitsuhide said moodily, casting a sidelong glance at Sasuke, who was studying his hanafuda cards impassively in the flickering lamplight of the bare little room that served as Mitsuhide’s temporary quarters at Kasugayama.
“Leave Ieyasu alone, dammit,” Sasuke muttered, tapping his fingers on his knee absently, as he moved his cards around, listening to the late night wind whisper across the roof.
Meanwhile, in Azuchi…
Ieyasu sneezed violently, which caused him to drop the pestle he had been using, nearly on his foot.
“Oh the hell with it,” he muttered to himself, and decided to call it a night, tidying up his desk and packing away his tools.
A storm was brewing over the castle town, and his manor seemed to be right in the thick of it. The humidity was likely to ruin the dry ingredients anyway, he told himself as he blew out the lamp and crawled into his futon, lulled to sleep by the patter of rain.
“You’ve always had a soft spot for the lass, and I’m still holding out for her to come to her senses and run off to Aoba with me,” Masamune said with a grin, elbowing him in the side despite his withering glare.
“The only soft spot is your head,” Ieyasu said with an irritated sigh.
“The only running you’re going to be doing is from a hail of gunfire, if you can’t restrain yourself, Masamune. Ieyasu, am to I take that as a yes?” Mitsuhide interjected, smile fixed on his face, amusement in his tone.
“It wasn’t a no.” Masamune cut in, wincing as he dumped pepper on the far too bland food.
“Why me? Why not Hideyoshi or Nobunaga?” He asked, eyes narrowed at Mitsuhide.
“Well for one thing, Hideyoshi would never allow any child of his, adopted or not, to marry me, and he’d kick up an endless fuss if Nobunaga did either. Not to mention that Nobunaga has a bit of a habit of, shall we say, over-enthusiastically correcting family members who get in his way. Of course, you and I are equal in rank so it will save everyone a lot of fuss if you agree.” Mitsuhide answered smoothly.
“Yeah, sounds like a strong argument that it should be Nobunaga.” Ieyasu replied, searching Mitsuhide’s unreadable eyes for the elusive truth. “Spit out the real reason, or I’m leaving.”
“Dear me, I think you’ve gotten even less patient if that’s possible. Do try to keep that in check, it’s bad for your health, or so I’m told.” Mitsuhide answered, his smile widening ever so slightly, an irrepressible flicker deviltry in his eyes.
“Thanks for the meal,” Ieyasu said with a nod at Masamune as he stood to leave.
“Oh alright. It’s because she likes you the best out of all of us, other than myself, of course. She still practices archery every single day, you know.” Mitsuhide said with a conciliatory wave.
Ieyasu knit his brows and folded his arms, remembering her earnest insistence that he teach her both how to defend herself and some basic field medicine, and how nothing he said, no matter how blunt, bothered her. Well, it stood to reason that she’d have to have a thick hide to fall in love with the resident fox. If nothing else, the poor girl deserved some kind of formal status to protect her from the inevitable consequence’s of Mitsuhide’s endless scheming.
“Oh, fine.” He grumbled. “Someone has to pick up the pieces when the whole thing explodes in her face.”
“Is that a blush I see? Called it, complete soft spot!” Masamune exclaimed, with a burst of laughter.
“It’s a fever from the irritation of dealing with you two.” Ieyasu shot back with a baleful glare, startled when he glanced back to find Mitsuhide wearing what was, for the first time in all the years they had known each other, an apparently sincere smile.
“That is incredibly unsettling.” Ieyasu said, and frowned. “You make the arrangements, I’ll show up. You can foot the rest of bill yourselves.” He said and turned on his heel.
The adoption formalities had been simple enough, and, he admitted, she really did seem genuinely grateful and pleased that it was him, which was, despite her utter goofiness, a little nice.
He had been goaded by a piqued Nobunaga, (despite knowing better) into preparing what started as a simple set of traditional bridal gifts that quickly became more elaborate, the expense of which left him grumbling that they might as well make Mitsuhide the damn Shogun, for how over the top the entire thing was– the painted screens that had been commissioned ended up delaying the ceremony, not to mention the lacquer wear, writing box, incense and tea ceremony boxes and he preferred to forget what else.
It was a vanishingly small satisfaction to know that his crest would be floating around Mitsuhide’s castle for the next hundred or so years, but he’d take what he could get.
He had thought that was the worst part, having had very little reason to attend any weddings in his life, until Mitsuhide reminded him of the worst part on him with a night’s notice and all the joie de vivre of a fox biting the head off a mouse.
The procession to the shrine had been bad enough, with the entire town watching them and exclaiming on the beauty of the bride and how proud her father must be.
He snapped himself out of his reverie with a quiet snort at the pair of them goggling at each other like particularly brainless fish in the wedding hall, the weirdly sweet expression on Mitsuhide’s face giving the entire business the atmosphere of a ghost story just before the vengeful spirit slaughters everyone.
They drank their cups, and he saw Hideyoshi sniffling into his sleeve as he, sitting behind Mitsuhide in the symbolic role of his father, picked up and held out the prepared cup to exchange with him, which was frankly weird enough, enough until Mitsuhide looked him dead in the eye and without even the slightest hint of levity in his voice said a bunch of utter nonsense capped off with the words ‘honor’ and ‘father,’ at which juncture he was certain his failure to sink through the floor in sheer mortification was evidence of the total absence of mercy in the world.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, then she had to join in the chorus, and it was clearly just as awkward for her as it was for him, which because a sort of flaming wagon wheel of embarrassment whose final stop was apparently hell.
He went through the prescribed motions, trying to ignore Nobunaga and Masamune snickering at his visible wince every time he was cruelly reminded that he had let idiotic sentimentality trap him in a situation where Mitsuhide could, and in fact was obligated, to spend the rest of their natural lives talking to him as if he were responsible for loosing him like a poisoned arrow onto an unprepared world.
“Try to keep it together, Hideyoshi, the worst is over.” Ieyasu said grimly as Hideyoshi dabbed at his eyes with a handkerchief  beside him in the procession back to the castle.
“Unlike some people, I have enough heart to cry over tragedies.” Hideyoshi mumbled in response. “I love her like she was my own sister, and yet it’s come to this.”
“Weddings are a perfectly appropriate reason to get a little misty eyed.” Masamune said, with a bittersweet look at the bride.
“You always set such a dignified example, Lord Ieyasu.” Mitsunari said, smiling at him with such a cotton-headed expression that it was almost awe inspiring in its total obliviousness.
“Yes, truly a father one can fully respect.” Nobunaga said with a wolfish grin.
“You can’t honestly tell me you’d be happier if they had to call you father.” Ieyasu snapped back.
“I can, in fact, imagine few things as pleasant as keeping them both under my thumb after they forced me to share the governance of Echigo and Kai.” Nobunaga replied, closing his fan with an emphatic snap.
“Well I wish you’d told me that.” Ieyasu muttered.
“Mitsuhide would never have allowed it, of course. He’d have gone begging to Kenshin or even Shingen before giving me the satisfaction.” Nobunaga said with a smile that was somewhere between admiring and murderous.
“As long as your thwarted ambitions don’t ruin the banquet I spent two days working on I don’t mind, but you know she,” he motioned with his chin, “can hear you.”
“Hmmph.” Nobunaga grumbled, but let the topic drop just the same.
“But just think, when they have children, they’ll be calling you grandpa! Won’t that be sweet?” Mitsunari said considering the future beatifically.
Ieyasu reeled, and fished his handkerchief out of his sleeve to dab away the cold sweat that had beaded on his brow and the back of his neck.
“Our strategist makes a salient point. I retract my objections and congratulate you heartily, grandpa.” Nobunaga said, choking back his laughter.
She hung back at the door to the banquet hall and caught his sleeve, waving a reluctant Mitsuhide onward.
“Well who am I to intrude in such a touching father daughter scene?” Mitsuhide said and strolled off with a snicker.
“Oh, don’t mind him. He’s really as thankful as I am and even though that was awkward, but I wanted to thank you for your generosity and kindness,” she said, smiling shyly.
“It’s really not that big a deal,” Ieyasu answered stiffly.
“Well I insisted to Mitsuhide that we have to show our gratefulness, and since I’m pregnant, I thought it would be better that you know before anything is announced, so I wanted to tell you that we’re naming the baby after you…”
He sat bolt upright with a gasp of horror as the flash of lightning illuminated his room, mopping the sweat off of his brow with the edge of his sleeve, clutching his chest as he collected himself.
“Grandpa…” he mumbled to himself in numb horror as the nightmare receded.

Nobunaga and his son’s signatures, circa 1573. Note the similarity of the shape of the signature glyphs (花押 kaou), which looks like a drooping “D”. While Nobutada’s kaou is somewhat simpler and less curved, there are many shared elements to them. There’s a later-date artifact where his signature seemed to have changed, but it’s also possible that it was just ruined by the ink being smeared.
Heirs having similar signatures to their fathers is apparently a common practice. Hidetada also had a similar-looking signature to his father Ieyasu.
Nobunaga’s one from a letter discussing about the "green leaf” flute of Chikubishima [source]. Interestingly, the “green leaf” flute (aoba no fue 青葉の笛) is the name of the flute believed to have been owned by Taira no Atsumori.
An item believed to have been Atsumori’s actual flute is presently kept in Suma-dera in Hyogo, so perhaps this item in Chikubushima is simply a similarly-named item. After all, the Aoba no Fue is also a key item in the Noh version of Atsumori.  As many Nobunaga fans would know, Nobunaga is fond of the kowakamai dance Atsumori, and perhaps this means that he was also fond of the Noh version.
Nobutada’s letter was written during the battle against Asakura and Azai [source]. According to the PDF, this is a letter addressed to the Ikoma clan contingent, directing them to make a move towards the Azai’s Odani Castle.

Once upon a time, there used to be a castle on the top of the golden peak of the Karasuno kingdom.
It was gigantic, a true masterpiece that represented the glourious kingdom that was Karasuno; ruled by their two kings with an iron grip and who received pure love and adoration from their subjects.
But, after the birth of their first son there was a great war between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai, the castle was torn apart and the prince disappeared never to be seen again.
Now, what used to be one of the greatest empires known to man was mearly known as miniscule ruins of nostalgia.

I finally got around to playing Persona 5 Strikers and I'm at a part of the game that's taking place in Sendai!
Sendai was the nearest major city to where I lived in Japan and these scenes are making me nostalgic. The best part is how accurate the depictions of the city are! The Aoba Castle ruins really do look like this
