kaorou999@youtube: actually, i heard that mr watsuki (the creator of samurai x) said in an interview that Aoshi and Misao do get together, im glad for that!!!
Chrno34@youtube: Yup, at the San Diego Comic Con of '06, a fan asked him if Misao and Aoshi got married and confirmed it.
Summoner [email protected]: Btw, all the Aoshi/Misao stuff comes from the fact I asked Watsuki at the 2006 Comic Con if they get married, Source: http://ladysarah92.blogspot.com/2009/11/
In Comic-con 2006 Nobuhiro Watsuki was a guest and was interviewed - As for Watsuki, he answered a wide range of questions. He talked about his inspirations and what made his decision to become a manga creator easier, such as a childhood appreciation of Doraemon and his apprenticeship with the manga creator Takeshi Obata, best known in the US for his work on the title Death Note. When pressed for his favorite character, besides the obvious selection of Kenshin himself, Shishio was a close second. People kept on wanting to talk about the anime, especially Watsuki’s involvement in it, not only of the Rurouni Kenshin series but the one of his most recent series Buso Renkin that has yet to be shown on Japanese television. They did have a clip of it there and showed it. Regarding his involvement with the anime, he checks the scripts and the character designs, and is involved with the selection of the voice actors. Saturday, July 22 The VIZ panel hosts Rurouni Kenshin creator Nobuhiro Watsuki who says, "Drawing manga isn't something you do for yourself. I'm always thinking of how I can draw this so readers understand." Source: http://www.sequentialtart.com/article.php?id=310
“Do Aoshi and Misao ever get together?”
Nobuhiro Watsuki is translated saying “Of course they did get together but probably they did get married.”

The total number of stitches is 138. It took one hundred thirty eight threads to mend her senses back together. And once she had it back, she smells bitter herbs and pungent blood, She sees layers of white bandages wrapping around thin skin, and brittle bones .An old man who wasn’t supposed to live, barely hanging by his life by one hundred thirty eight threads, by mere stubbornness and desperation, Is she crying? They hear them ask, over and over again, She shuts them up quickly. They’re too loud, making it harder to think. Misao doesn’t think too much, but when she does - it always becomes too much, that she’ll surely drown by the weight of her thoughts. Did she cry? Did she shed her tears while her trembling hands tried to find a place for her hands, to carry her grandfather? Did she taste the salt on her lips when she screamed for a doctor. for anyone to help her? No. Now that she had her senses back, Misao remembers everything : the taste of copper, the weight of an expiring body, the sound of blood splattering across the walls. Misao remembers that she saw him - (almost, almost) - killed Jiiya. And now, as her callused fingers tremble at the sides of a night-old letter - forget about the oniwabanshuu. forget about aoshi. go back to being a normal girl, and find your own happiness - and she couldn’t help but quickly stand to her feet. (what do you know? a few weeks ago, she screamed these very words, preparing to fall off a precipice. forget, you say?) The wooden box reveals the well-worn shouzoku. Like she had done for more than one hundred and thirty-eight times, she arranges the lapels, dons the guards to her limbs and fastens the fourteen knives within the pockets of her obi.
It feels familiar. It feels more like her. Makimachi Misao has never been hailed as the most promising, or the brightest in the group - yet she became their reminder - the child that they had fought for during a bloody era, that she might live a normal life. But they forget what she really was - she was the fruit of their leaders, who had led them greatly during the war, when enemies jumped at their shadows, feared their demon masks, and shook at their mere name. She was born from, and was raised by the Oniwabanshuu. Like her forefathers, she’ll die as an onmitsu. Misao cannot forget that. They cannot forget that. ( how does forgetting the people i love lead to happiness? ) This family is her happiness.
It’s almost hard to speak, when all she can do is remind herself of those roads, of the cold nights, of the yearning - "Whoever the enemy will be, even if it is Shinomori Aoshi…" - she need to be stronger than ice, to be sharper than any of her weapons, because he chose his path. Shinomori Aoshi chose to forget. And that is why Makimachi Misao made her choice. You chose to forget? The courage pounds in her heart, rushes to her head, proclaiming for whole Kyoto to hear her words loud and clear, in case they didn’t understand. "Starting today," her fist is against her chest, fury in vibrating in her every being, "I am the new Okashira!” Then I’ll remind you. — ruroken headcanon for act 91 : 12| 13| 14| 15| 1|
