Some various Nana concept arts that I made have so far! Rewriting and redesigning her has been very fun and I love designing her to look like she is living up to her original name and She’s Japanese/Filipina in my rewrite!

damn imagine getting married and agreeing to do a joint wedding, but the other couple are the protagonists so you have to say your vows off to the side like 50 ft away from the alter next to some bush.

My next target was Nana (Kawaii-Chan) from Mystreet! I don't have any gripes with her actual name so she keeps hers, it's cute!

I am very happy with this version I have of her as of now, would love to try other outfits sometime!

As usual, sharing the sketch + progress throughout.

Some design notes and stuff I thought about while making her...

I recall her saying she had a lot of siblings in some ep of something, and she wanted to be different from them all in her own way, so I thought I'd make her a Siamese since they all share the same pattern pretty much and why it would be so hard to tell her from siblings, and it would be cute than just a plain black cat like she was before. Some eps for examples (mainly for myself to revisit) - Pheonix Drop High: GD ep 5 (9:55) (11:41) In my design I wanted her to have a more polished cute look, while still having some elements of her old like she she had a bow in her hair. speaking of her hair, I tried to make it "heart" shaped for the front part since I thought that would also add to the cute factor's she'd go for! Silly skull accessory is from Zane, also gave her small blue accessory to be cute and have the ever so hint her and Zane being besties/dating. whichever LOL.

Also Ft. older art of her and Zane from last year(?)...I shall redo him at some point bc none of these did him any justice in my eyes

Hey, what if Nana was really scary when she wanted to be?

So yeah, I’ve been reworking how witches work in mcd, and yes I have Owl House brain rot. So based on that I’ve been giving each of our magic characters (Lucinda, KC, Hyria, and Zoey (in my headcanons)) different magical specialties. I imagine they can still do other types of magic but a specific branch comes easiest to them. Luci has illusions, Zoey has healing, Hyria has nature, and Nana…well she’s interesting.

Her powers are rare, so she never met anyone who knew what they were called. While they were friends, Lucinda named her ability animation. Her power is controlling objects, bringing them to life.

With low levels of concentration, it’s something like the Socerer’s Apprentice, animating brooms and such to clean for her. If she puts more focus into it, she can make more independent creations, like her dolls from the original series that can express basic emotions and act with autonomy. She also makes and then animates Bigglesworth as a gift for Lucinda. For visuals, I imagine her magic appears as red strings (inspired by all the red string=life/soulmate stuff) that weave around in the air. These strings guide the objects she controls, and in cases of granting permanent life, tie around the object in a bow before infusing them with her magic

But there’s a dark side to her magic, a side she rarely uses because it’s scares her. If so forced, she can animate people.

Here it takes on more puppet-on-a-string imagery, her strings wrap around the person’s wrists, ankles, and neck, and she can manipulate the strings to control the person, a bit like blood bending in the way they move and the fact that’s it’s terrifying and extremely painful. It takes so much concentration that her face goes completely blank, a sharp contrast to her usual expressiveness.

I think underrated MyStreet friendships should be talked about more!! Ima list some of my favorites + why I like the idea of these friendships

• Nana and Laurance

- Baking/Cooking buds! They would bond over cooking and baking, and they enjoy sharing their own tips and tricks when it comes to the fields their stronger in, and would have other conversations while cooking. I think they both would share a similar enjoyment in chocolate covered strawberries as well and make those before they do anything else as something to snack on while they cook.

• Garroth and Katelyn

- I honestly think they’d be work out buddies, going to the gym together or going on a jog early in the morning. They’d help each other reach their goals if they ask for the assistance. I also feel like if someone were to criticize them, Garroth would remain fairly calm and just try to get out of the situation while Katelyn would be more forward and defensive for them.

• Aphmau and Zenix

- SHOPPING PALS!! Zenix will want to get those pink shoes he wants from Macys and Aphmau will always try and help him. If she ever wants to go to a mall, Zenix is the first person she contacts and if he agrees to go she’ll always mention at some point in the call “well stop at Macys and see if we can find those shoes for you!!” I also think she’d get a pair of shoes and paint them pink with other details, and give them to Zenix to use temporarily. He said they were ‘okay’ when she gave them to him, but every time they go to the mall he ALWAYS wears them. They are his mall shoes.

There are so many more but I’ve thought more about these ones.

DOES KC/NANA DYE HER HAIR IN MS???? PEOPLE ON TIK TOK KEEP SAYING SHE DOES BUT IM LITERALLY REWATCHING THE WHOLE DAMN SHOW AND I HAVE NOT HEARD A MENTION OF THIS.

IS THIS JUST THE MANDELA EFFECT OR AM I JUST STUPID? HELP????
