history:

grayson was born in brooklyn, ny to a single mother. she worked as secretary at local lawyers office, so she made ok money. he never knew his dad and his mom has always told him he never need to know him. sometimes he is curious just who he could be but always respects his mothers wishes. his mom worked a lot leaving him.

bella fitzgerald @bvllz and him grew up down the hall from one another and have been best friends ever since he could remember. their parent’s often bonded over having two similar aged children and they would have play dates together. 

when he was 11 his mother had an affair with her boss (a big fancy pants lawyer at the time) and thus come the light of his life his little sister gabrielle everett. he always thought he never wanted a little sibling until he was holding her in his arms. she was everything to him and he was the usual protective older brother. her father wanted nothing to do with her and left her solely to their mother. 

her mother lost her job because of the affair and her reputation got ruined and trashed, she ended up having to get a job as a waitress at a restaurant.  at this point the family of three was struggling very hard to make ends meet, grayson himself went out and got a job at 13. because of their mom’s work schedule grayson became the father figure for gabrielle.

growing up he was always a happy kid, he loved his family, had normal friends, played soccer and did normal kid stuff. 

everything changed for him after his sister’s death. one night when he was 16 and gabrielle was 5 their mom ended up getting off early at the restaurant and told grayson to pick her up and the three of them could get ice cream. they rarely ever got treats like this so of course both jumped at the chance. on their way to the resturant the car got t-boned and totaled by a drunk driver. the car had run straight into gabrielle’s side.

everything came crashing down around grayson after that. he felt personally responsable for her death and to some extent his mother blamed him as well. his mom resorted to drinking to cope with the pain quickly become dependent on it.

at this point was when grayson began acting out, he skipped school, flooded his body with drugs and alcohol, and partied to he couldn’t. he did whatever he could to try to forget what had happened with his sister. 

because of lack of attendance and overall bad attitude he decided to skip going to college and stayed home to support himself and his mom. he still continued his self destructive ways.

this went on for a long long time, grayson working menial jobs just to pay the bills. it wasn’t till got a line as a cook in a local dinner did he realize his love for cooking. he enjoyed the creativity and structure of it. it became his passion and he started cooking for his mom and bella all the time refining his skills.

wisteria: 

two years ago he was offered a position at an upscale restaurant in LA after the owner tried his food at the diner. he jumped at the offer and bella moved with him since they really can’t be apart. 

he now lives comforatbleish on level 2 #302, he send money back to his mom whenever he can to help out.

he still his a self destructive butt head when it comes to drinking and drugs. he also parties way too much. all these years and he still hasn’t learnt a proper coping mechanism for the pain. he feels like he doesn’t deserve anything because of what happened with his sister, still believes it’s 100% his fault. maybe he does this a little less then in high school, but only a little.....

he doesn’t do relationships, he hooks up with everybody and anybody. but he’s kinda hopelessly in love w/ bella though he’d never ever tell you that because pshhhhhh you’re wrong. he’s probably had the occasional relationship in the past two years but ended up sabotaging it by cheating on them or something.

born and raised in san francisco to luciana and dominick portinelli, freddy was the middle child out of the three portinelli children. this was hard on him, always being compared to his siblings, freddy was never as impressive or as smart as his older brother but he was also wasn’t as sweet and endearing as his younger sister. 

from a young age, freddy already felt like the black sheep of the family. there was a lot of pressure on him to follow in his older brother’s footsteps and become succesful just like him. but growing up freddy didn’t really pay much attention to his studies. he was your typical jock in high school, charming, popular, class clown and even though he was actually pretty smart, particularly in english and social, freddy never really applied himself in school.

it wasn’t until he was offered a job coaching a high school basketball team did he realize ?? wow i ?? like doing this ?? so freddy yanno looked into it and eventually put himself through school to become a teacher !! he started off with elementary, before upgrading to become a professor in sociology. he was always interested in politics but not like that, if that makes sense. his father who was the mayor of san francisco at one point wanted his son to go into politics just like him ?? and even though freddy liked the subject.. he kinda averted from it just because it’s exactly what his father wanted ssdkfkdkf

hello everyone!! im cody and this is my other character, the sweet sweet cinnamon roll pearl!! all her info is under the cut but major trigger warning for sexual abuse and cults so pls be careful!!!!

pearl was born in virginia and when she was four her mum took her and they ran away to join a cult.

at the time her parents’ marriage was falling apart and her mum was severely depressed and fell victim to a cult leader.

on the cult compound, which was all the way out in the country, pearl grew up with a v catholic centric worldview that was also incredibly prejudiced and close minded (creationism, misogyny, racism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, all that shit) and the cult leader married a bunch of the women, including pearl’s mum (altho technically the marriages were all null and void since they werent legal).

since this was pretty much all pearl knew she just went with it and absorbed the teachings pretty easily. she was very devout and obedient and basically a model cult follower i guess?

when she was 12 the cult leader started to sexually abuse her but since he was the leader she never said anything.

four years later she was married off to another boy who was in the cult (check out the wanted connections page to learn more!!!!)

six months later there was a new member and pearl became really friendly with them and considered them a very good friend and after a few months she found out that her friend was an undercover cop who had infiltrated the cult to bring them down. there was a raid and that cop carried pearl off the compound themselves (again check out the wanted connections page!!)

when all this stuff hit the news, pearl found out she and her mum had been registered as missing as her mum didnt even leave a note. a lot of people thought they were dead so when her dad saw her again he was in tears.

pearl had to go thru a lot of therapy to deal with the shit she experienced and had to be tutored and learn how the real world worked and it was extremely jarring and difficult and she cried pretty much every day.

eventually the cult leader went to court and pearl was among the many girls and women who accused him of sexual abuse

her father went to court and got full custody of pearl which caused her more emotional distress. her therapist suggested writing as a way to vent so she started keeping journals and it actually worked.

pearl didnt get her high school diploma until she was 21 because of all the catch up she had to do (in the cult girls were educated until they were 12 and that was incredibly basic stuff) but she got there and she was really proud of herself

soon after she compiled everything she had written in her journals and decided to publish it as a memoir. even tho the story about the cult hadnt been discussed for years at that point, a lot of publishing houses still wanted to snap it up and pearl didnt really have any issues getting it out there

she was on a lot of talk shows and radio shows to promote her book and it became a best seller and made her a semi-celebrity

turns out she really loved writing so she wrote more books, but they were all aimed at young kids, with many of them having a v catholic leaning or fable like quality and they all sold very well

rn she’s living in l.a. for a change of scenery. she’s still in contact with her parents and she remains a sweet ball of sunshine, naive and ditzy and oblivious and sweet sunshine <3

ok so i tragically don’t have a bio written up for finn but i always tend to think bullet points are a lot easier to remember, so here’s some stuff about him !

florin “finn” ion alexandru was born in brasov, romania. he was raised there up until the age of seventeen until he decided that he didn’t want the typical life his parents wanted him to, and that america was always the dream he wanted to achieve.

he has three brothers and two sisters, and he is the oldest of them all which contributes as to why he was the one who would be given the family’s business.

his parents owned one of the town’s most popular bakeries and it was always gonna be set in stone that finn would be the one to take over the family business and eventually pass that down to his own kids one day.

in school he was incredibly smart tho and often exceeded his teachers’ expectations, so out of the blue he applied for the foreign exchange program his school was taking apart of. he didn’t think he’d be eligible, but the next thing he knew he was on a flight to las vegas, nevada and was attending high school there.

he fell in love with america & all the new culture that surrounded him and instantly knew that the life his parents had planned for him isn’t what he wanted. when he returned back to romania after the exchange program ended, he got a school & living visa to be in america while in college.

finn went back to vegas (the only city he really knew) and attended unlv, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. 

by that time, his living & school visa expired but he didn’t want to go back to romania, so he ran. 

pretty ironic considering homeboy got a degree in criminal justice lolz

anyway, he moved away from vegas and spent a few years just traveling along the east coast. he stayed in miami the longest time because it was his favorite place to be. he had to move because the problems with immigration were always strict, and there were too many times where he was nearly caught living illegally.

finn made his way to los angeles (where things are incredibly different) and has been staying there for the past year. with fake papers, finn was able to get himself a job as a crime scene investigator with the LAPD. he loves his job, he loves helping people, and invests too much time into his work.

and also: romanian is his first language but english is also spoken there. he learned it growing up and lost the “accent” he had while spending so much time in america and learning mannerisms, etc. !

her parents were polar opposites - her father was a strict and loveless, military man and her mother was a stay-at-home mother

margot’s parents had never been a happy couple and so it didn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone when her mother decided to leave when the children were all very young

the departure of the matriarch left the evans family in disarray and instead of attempting to fix the disorder margot’s father grew only more distant causing the children to look after each other but margot, being the youngest and only girl as stated before, learned to fend for herself and keep up with her brothers

margot never heard from her mother after she left. forcing herself to just “get over it”, she never attempted to contact her, though she constantly wondered about her for decades until she heard about her death and mourned her silently

due to all of these factors, margot grew a cold, more masculine exterior

her father and her brothers before her all went into military and law enforcement so it was only expected that margot follow in her family members’ footsteps - she became a police officer

she experimented with her sexuality, only to come to the conclusion that she was a lesbian after having been with men and women

for most of her life, margot found the idea commitment to be far too difficult to try, until she met sylvia. it wasn’t margot’s intention to gain feelings for the woman, and they seemed an unlikely pair, but she fell hard and there was no denying it was love

after five years, she proposed and the two were married

margot had no real qualms with leaving england to live in america with sylvia - by this time she had gone through the ranks, served her time, and become a detective ( and a damn good one too !! )

let’s start with his name because...yikes. it’s wigmund ashford iv but please just call him ash it’s so much better for everyone honestly. not even sure if he would answer were you to call him wigmund he might just knock you tf out right then and there

so, backstory! ash is from england literally for no other reason than because i’m weak for dom’s accent tbh. specifically, he’s from a very wealthy area and from a very prominent and prosperous family. his father, grandfather, great grandfather and so on have made quite a name in the field of academia; specifically, they’ve all been respected literature professors at one of the most selective private universities in the united kingdom. the plan was always for ash to follow in the footsteps of his father & forefathers, but being the rebellious problem child that he was, ash had absolutely no trouble pointing out that this future wasn’t what he wanted.

ash was basically raised by nannies and professors at his boarding schools — yes, plural, because my trash son here had a habit of getting kicked out school for any number of ridiculous offenses that he absolutely 100% committed.

in spite of not really caring about school, his father pulled some strings and got him into the appropriate university, aka the one his father chose for him (and had been funneling money into in order to secure ash’s place there practically since the day he was born).

but come on y’all know ash wasn’t about that life! he was gone the moment he had a chance. he’d been eyeing new york city for pretty much all his life and so that was where he first settled, but being the restless guy he is soon enough ash was ready to explore and has basically been drifting around the country since the age of eighteen. i feel like he’s been in los angeles for a little while but he only just moved into magnolia a week ago, so there are definitely some potential plots to be had for him!

nah okay fr he’s actually a genuinely good person despite some very rough edges. he can definitely come across as standoffish as he’s either very quiet or very LOUD. he plays and writes the music for a shitty local punk band because punk is his life. 

no really punk is his life. he’s always got on his leather jacket and combat boots even in ridiculous california heat he’s out there working it for the aesthetic™. he’s too sarcastic, his mouth gets him in trouble, he’s crass, he’s crude, he’s messy, (and capital m Messy) he’s a troublemaker, he’s perpetually late, and he’s always ready to fight

but hey he’s definitely got some good in him! he’s extremely protective and loyal, so if ash likes you then congratulations you officially have a bona fide guard dog at your beck and call becauuuuuse

hi peeps! so, im sok and i go by they/them. im 21, living in good ol' cest. there's not much to know about me except that i REALLY like the lord of the rings, doctor who and game of thrones, smh. i love making new friends and just talking about things in general so if u ever want to chat, just hmu bb. i also suck at intros so forgive me for this shitty post. now moving on to my bby BENJAMIN JOHN MORRISON. he is, well, something for sure.

CHILDHOOD: Benjamin was born in Manhattan (4th June, 1979), to Lucretia and Elliot Morrison. Although they were absent, his parents were caring and always did their best to make sure Benjamin would have a high-quality education. His father, a USA spy during the cold war, and his mother, an astronomy professor, valued education above anything else — that was one of the reasons why they hired him a top-notch private teacher. He didn't socialize with kids his age, his youngest acquaintance being his 24 years old cousin, whom he didn't even talk to that much. That and the fact his parents were rarely home, only contributed to his lonely childhood. 

TEEN YEARS: Benjamin liked to watch people. Their behavior, speaking pattern and overall personality intrigued him and by the time he was sixteen years old, Benjamin had become fully engrossed in psychology. He got used to the solitude — he even enjoyed it. He could do and say whatever he wanted and no one would think he was weird because, well, no one was there to watch him. It was rather sad when he stopped to think about it, but there was nothing he could do. And honestly, his introverted nature didn’t want to do anything about it.

It was hard, sure, but he eventually succeeded. Now he lives in Wisteria Apartments trying to balance his personal and professional lives.

PERSONALITY AND FACTS: Professionally and personally, Benjamin is kind of a blunt person. He believes it's best to be objective and say what needs to be said rather than sugarcoat it.

He enjoys his privacy, not letting anyone get too close to him emotionally. He likes to be in control of his own feelings (or at least pretends to be in control). 

Just like his parents did, Benjamin really treasures education. Even though he isn't in college anymore, Benjamin never stopped seeking knowledge. His favorite subjects are philosophy and sociology (i wonder why). 

He is really passionate about the things he likes. He will ramble for hours if you let him. Be it about his job or a movie, he just can't help himself. 

He is kind of unpredictable. He can change plans in an eye blink and although he isn't bipolar or has BPD, his mood tends to change as well, depending on his environment and the circumstances. 

He is a perfectionist and a very SINCERE person. If you do something and he thinks it looks like shit, he will say it in the most polite way. He is also very hard on himself. He may not show it, but he has a lot of insecurities just like anyone else and thinks he is not good enough, not yet. Obsession with perfection, one could say. 

He is pansexual and demiromantic.

He was married once. It was during his impulsive college years and didn’t last more than a year. They liked each other but decided to part ways since they wanted to focus on their career (might put up a wc later, who knows wink wink).

So Sami is basically an INTJ Aquarius character. He’s more about logic and reason, which is going to be quite fun in an rp about relationships. :)) Bullet time!

Born the eldest child and only son of hardworking immigrant parents, his father died when he was twelve and his mother remarried.

Sami loves his younger sister, Samandra, even though she pursued her love for the culinary instead of a more practical field like law or anything medical.

Sami and Samandra grew up traveling from place to place, living with relative to relative, until Sami was already in high school. Their parents couldn’t afford their own place until then.

Sami has been in only three romantic relationships, most of which surviving only because his partners were as patient with him as they could be.

Sami’s first girlfriend was Keira, a bespectacled perfectionist who had consistently high grades. They got together in high school and lasted until the last day of high school. Sami broke up with her when he had to leave for another city to study in university.

Sami’s second girlfriend was Elise, a photography enthusiast. Their romance started when Elise took a photo of Sami in the library. They broke up when he graduated university. As with Keira, Sami left Elise for another city.

It took a long while before Sami had his third girlfriend, Billie, a part-time model and full-time pastry chef who had her own cafe. Sami like Billie because she a gorgeous manic pixie dream girl. He broke up with her to concentrate on his professional life.

Sami is somewhat of a recluse, preferring to be alone than to be with people. He’s cool with one-on-one meet-ups like in a cafe but feels drained when he has to entertain a lot of people outside of his profession. Needless to say, Sami is an introvert.

Sami has depression. Despite his depression being recurrent, he can still function to the best of his abilities, mostly when it comes to work. The downside, though, is that when he’s depressed but still functional, he can barely feel any enjoyment of what he’s doing. It’s all just routine for him.

This is what I have for Sami so far. I’m sure more things will be discovered and established in the long run. So excited to be a part of this.

hiya i’m cait and have a slight obsession with broadchurch rn its fine. this is my babe jacob i’m going to have a full bio up soon (when i cba to write it) but here’s just a little bit of facterinis abt jacob

he moved from seattle washington to get away from the people there 

he was in the foster care for most of his life his mom was rly sick mentally and physically and he couldnt take care of her anymore and she never took care of him 

his dad was a war vet and had suffered a lot of ptsd before inevitably killing himself hence why he didnt have rly anyone to care for him growing up

he kind of grew up in that mentality of taking care of himself and having this sense of independence 

he was adopted by a woman named evelyn tho she passed away a couple years ago due to heart failure 

he had grown up wanting to be in the medical field and try and understand how the body works etc 

straight out of high school he had gone to school to become an emt for a while he had worked as a firefighter but after a bad call he had left that job and decided that he wanted to go to the paramedic route 

eventually he had sort of leveled up and joined as a flight medic and thats what he does now and he likes it for the most part tho he has lost a best friend due to the helicopter crashing 

as for relationships he was married for a while but had gotten divorced since his wife had an affair with one of his coworkers and never had children but he always wanted them :// 

tho bc of his parents he had always had a fear that he’d fuck them up and so hes at a loss in that area

not too long ago bc of his own ptsd he had adopted a dog that helps him cope etc his name is cooper whos a black lab 

he probs drinks too much and smokes too much for a guy thats supposed to advocate against that but he kind of shrugs it off

marilyn is an only child and was boen and raised in louisiana. her dad was a movie director (from west virginia) who made horror movies and he rejected hollywood because he thought they were all snobs who didnt appreciate his art. and i mean yeah he wasnt exactly popular, he’s a cult director, but also not everything he made was good so.....

he married his muse/lead actress (she was from georgia) and they relocated to louisiana. she was primarily raised by her mum as her dad was always way filming because spoiler alert marilyn’s parents started to resent each other because they felt that the other was weighing them down with the marriage and their child. so the two of them never remained in the same place for very long.

as a child marilyn didnt understand why her father was always gone and became desperate for his approval and love but she never got it.

once, when she was kid, her dad looked her right in the eye and said ‘i never should’ve had you lynnie. you never shoulda been born.’

virtually abandoned by her husband, who wouldnt let her have a divorce to save face, marilyn’s mum, already a strong catholic, became more devout and passed her beliefs onto marilyn. the church proved to be a source of comfort for marilyn and she often sought comfort in her religion.

she was known to burst into tears in the middle of mass because of her Intense Feelings bless her

marilyn watched her dad’s movies constantly, even when she was young and she developed a love for horror much like her father. but while her father plunged his claws into slashers, thrillers, and sci fi horror movies that featured plenty of gore and body horror, marilyn veered more towards gothic, psychological, and, interestingly, religious horror.

when she got older, marilyn started displaying symptoms of schizophrenia and had to be treated. her father showed an unprecedented amount of interest in her during this time and spent a lot of time with marilyn which of course delighted her. however it turned out her father was mining her for inspiration for a new film and once that was released, he became estranged once again.

as part of her therapy, marilyn started painting and she developed a deep passion for it, which her mother encouraged.

while her dad was more or less a deadbeat, marilyn was very close to her mother.

at her high school graduation her father sent his frequent collaborator, isaac, a screenwriter, in his stead. isaac had also been hired by marilyn’s dad to keep an eye on the family and during this time marilyn became infatuated with isaac.

marilyn had developed pretty intense daddy issues by this time, so that any older male who showed any kind of interest in her immediately gained her affection.

within two years marilyn and isaac were engaged, and surprisingly marilyn’s mother approved, despite the twenty year age gap, as she was already friends with isaac and liked him.

during the lead up to the wedding, marilyn developed extreme anxiety, and just three weeks before walking down the aisle, her father told her that he had gotten isaac to watch her and her mother. devastated, marilyn virtually dropped off the radar.

on the day that she would’ve been married, marilyn resurfaced, with blonde hair and her mother’s maiden name, discarding her father symbolically if not emotionally.

she is currently waitressing in l.a. and has started painting again. she keeps in contact with her mother, but she hasnt spoken to isaac at all.

she has a pet tarantula (or rancho as she likes to call them) called simon. she loves him dearly often lets him roam free.

marilyn is currently receiving therapy for her schizophrenia and bpd, which is a more recent diagnosis.

as for me, u can call me either cody or mangle, im from nz, im 20, i have A Lot Of Feelings about catholicism and rick sanchez and im always down to plot so hmu!!! or like this and i will hit u up!!!

hello wonderful peoples of all ages and stages, i’m ky and i’m super fly most of the time

without further ado, i’ll say a lil something about this sharp little dude

he’s 27, comes from a rich family and he’s always had everything he wanted, but he grew bored of it, and decided to go and challenge himself once he finished college at 22 years of age. he’s constantly on the move, he’s never stayed in the same place for too long because nothing convinced him to do it.

pretty chill, open-minded, friendly, polite, the kind of guy mothers would want as their son-in-law, although upon further digging you discover he can be quite careless, indifferent, cold, distant and most of all selfish

tony is the kind of dude who just does whatever until he thinks of something else to do. not very consistent or reliable when it comes to important stuff, but sure is fun to have around for the small things. he’ll cheer you up, listen to you, talk to you when you need it, but only when he feels like it. despite being super friendly and open, able to chat up just about anyone, he’s a lonely person, since he meets so many people but never gets the chance to grow close to anyone before he leaves. he has ways to keep himself occupied, though.

whitney was born to a single mother in buffalo, ny. she grew up having a rough childhood, they lived in a small apartment due to financial issues. when whitney got old enough, she got a job at a local restaurant waiting tables by their apartment while also volunteering at a youth centre in her spare time. she did both of these things while maintaining a solid 3.7 GPA in high school. this got her into college in which she studied psychology and that lead her to where she is today!

iris grew up in wisconsin and was raised by her parents and her life was pretty average, right up until she was 18. she and her three best friends entered their school’s talent show to sing as a group and they won and went viral. they were discovered by a record label in l.a. and were signed on as a group.

the four girls became famous basically overnight and while it was incredibly overwhelming, they all remained close. they gained a huge fanbase, mostly among young women, and the change seemed to shake iris the most.

she found comfort and support from her friends of course but she also found it in jay, a bassist in a band that was signed to the same label as her. they started dating and their love life dominated the tabloids, and while the extra attention was overwhelming, iris was able to cope with it easier with jay.

unfortunately just over a year ago, rumours started swirling around that not only was jay cheating on iris, but he was cheating on her with one of her friends. while iris ignored the rumours at first, eventually she started to believe them. one night things were fine, the next day iris deleted all of her social media and disappeared off the face of the earth.

two months ago iris reappeared, with brand new social media accounts and signed to a different label as a solo artist. she has moved into the building and is currently rebuilding her life
