Ask Aqueon to stop making under one gallon betta fish aquariums.

Their five betta fish starter kits range from 0.25 - 0.75 gallon per fish, and they're advertised as suitable environments. They create low quality conditions with no room for adequate heating or filtration.

Betta fish need at least five gallons, a filter, heater, and lots of environmental enrichment like plants and hiding spots. 

Aqueon's tagline is "it's all about the fish" but they have been deleting comments and silencing the voices of concerned fish lovers. They will probably continue to sell these as long as they can make a profit from them.

Please help raise awareness about these harmful Aqueon tanks.

The Lighting On My Aquariums :)

I love the look of the default dusk 6pm setting on the Nicrew C10 light.

So peaceful and relaxing, just need to take delivery of my new guppies for the 40 gallon now and then I can start on my Walstad Betta Fish tank next week :).

My first Walstad aquarium (2.5 years old). I believe that to achieve success in the low tech/Walstad/Naturalistic or basically non CO² infused aquarium setups, requires a great deal of symbiotic relationship between fauna and flora. It's an ecosystem where both fishes and plants give and take from each other.

There must be a fair number of fishes capable of producing a consistent amount of biowaste, including CO², for the plants to use as nutrients and as the plants consume these wastes they are in effect cleaning the waters, keeping the environment safe for the fishes. Everybody is working in harmony with each other.
