How to propagate aquarium plants emersed 🌱

Would you like to know how to propagate aquarium plants emersed so that you always have your own plants in stock?

I use these small mini-greenhouses and have planted my Echinodorus cuttings here for further propagation.

I use loose, moist potting soil as a substrate, but not too wet. Here I use this potting soil.

This is what the finished planted trays with Echinodorus palifolius, Hygrophila siamensis and various ferns look like.

As well as growing them in potting soil, I also have a plant tray with ferns in hydroponics. Now put the lid on and wait and see. I'll report back on what works better.

There will be a YouTube video with more detailed information on emersed propagation of aquarium plants (including stem plants and ferns). However, this will take some time as I want to show immediately visible results in the video.

Attaching aquarium plants to wood

For sticky soil simply mix soil with water and knead into a mass. Then press the mixture onto the hardscape and press the plants into the soil. You can then additionally fix them in place with a thread.
