I'm trying so hard to finish all my old wips before my interest declines. As always, I start making fanart when the series is ending or has ended, bravo me, wow so smart very entrepreneur.

Annnnd it's over. It's been AGES since last time I enjoyed a shonen so much so it's a bit sad to let it go. Aragane no Ko didn't get much recognition during its run but it's going to stay in my heart and my thoughts for a long while, like every story told with honesty and passion does. Kai tied his hair like Akeboshi's before the time skip!!

I don't have much to say on this last chapter. We still don't have a clue on how they'll fix the shortage of gems. But I guess it's fine to just say "they're looking for a solution and working hard". I mean, look at Akeboshi lol

The masters all cut their hair and the apprentices all grew theirs. Nice to see Ko has an apprentice but not Kai and Kurogane. It makes sense since she's probably the one who started her apprenticeship first.

Urumi and Kai's sister look so good!

I like how Suo remained a stone. It's a little unexpected but it makes sense and gems come from the ground after all.

It was a fun ride and I LOVED the art! And how the author seem to have used her passion for gems to make this manga!

The classic type who pulls all-nighters and then suddenly falls asleep

In Kai’s case

Kai: “I can’t fall asleep…”

He sleeps badly and very little

In case he has nightmares…

Kai: “Akeboshi with Kou's head, while his rolls away and I chase it like a madman to catch it! What kind of nightmare is this supposed to be?!”

Kai: “Akeboshi! You’re still up?”

Akeboshi: “Yes, what about you?”

Akeboshi: “Kou gave me an incense for relaxing”

Went to a french comic shop and Diamond in the Rough was among the titles recommended by the booksellers :)

The series is so underrated to it made me really happy!!!!

Aragane no ko 2023 - thanks to everyone for the 3rd anniversary and the last chapter!

At any rate, it was fun! All I can say is this. The only thing I could do was draw the things I wanted to draw and the characters I wanted to draw, and I managed to keep going for 9 volumes*! I was very happy to receive lots of love not only from people in Japan, but also from overseas**! See you next year!
