concept: sonic dark souls but like what started as a stupid metamy idea actually spiraled into "hm this might have legs"

main character is gadget the wolf, but hes referred to as a Knight Of The Wind. the bonfire equivalent is currently unnamed but i have it in my head that its some sort of banner or flag billowing in the wind.

im not sure on a lot of the other details yet but

Knights Of The Wind include sonic, shadow, silver, the babylon rogues, espio, and metal sonic. theyre not undead, but theyre impossible to put down because they have little to no ties, emotional or physical, to the world around them. you can only kill a Knight if theyve settled down and made a life for themselves.

robotnik is the aldia equivalent who screwed up everything. he made an army of machines that gained sapience and then went insane, he discovered the phantom ruby, he destroyed the master emerald and unleashed chaos... about 50% of the world at present is his fault

metal sonic is the leader of the Quicksilver Order, a collective of sapient non-murderous robots. hes also the guy who invented Quicksilver Sorcery, which is essentially robot shapeshifting magic. he wears the same rags as slaves because of his Many traumas and also its metal sonic he has to be dramatic about it

amy is the oracle of never lake and archqueen of the Thorn Witches. basically they protect the nature around the never lake / little planet region and tell anyone else to leave or die. shes able to use Fortunes to alter the flow of fate, which manifests as the ability to dodge or block attacks that might otherwise be lethal.

theyre married for political reasons and there is DEFINITELY no love going on here none at all

also in terms of jolly cooperation, that covenant is covered by cream the rabbit and her Saints of The Chao. every time you get summoned in and help somebody fight a boss, you get a scrap of cloth and cream turns it into a little outfit for a chao
