honestly one of the best mental health tips I can give is to grow a small edible pot of something if at all possible. container tomatoes. basil. peppermint. herbs. radishes (very easy to do in a container.) on a porch or balconey or window or anything. because sometimes you will cry and walk outside or into your laundry room and eat a small tomato and go O: the world is full of horrors but it also knows how to be delicious. and what greater comfort than to have proof of the goodness of time in your hands?

The amount of hateful comments I have gotten on my DP x DC fanfics is fuckin' ridiculous. So for those who don't understand A03 etiquette, please allow me to explain something.

If the author doesn't act for criticism - don't give it.

If you don't want to read a specific thing there's these nifty things called TAGS that you can mark as NOT WANTING TO SEE. So if you're going to be absolutely traumatized that a character is Trangender or Gay? Use the fuckin' tags. It's on the right side and very obvious.

Authors tend to have different writing styles - deal with it. Some are still learning and others like how their writing style looks and sounds.

Authors are human there will be mistakes so deal with it. Some authors - like myself - also have a fancy thing called dyslexia that can make some things hard to check. Thankfully I have friends and a wonderful spouse who can help me go through and look for mistakes but they're human too and will sometimes miss things. Which is fine.

Authors/creators also have different AU's and Headcannons that they will add into their story for spice or plot. Again, if you see something you don't like move on.

Danny is trans and you have issues with it? - Move on.

Danny doesn't age and you have issues with it? - Deal with it.

Don't like a story - Move on! Or write your own!

We write, create, and publish for free. Because we want to do something we enjoy and share it because we think other people will also enjoy it. We don't need people in the comments acting like they've been personally attacked by stories that are just fine.

Here are just some of the comments I've gotten. Most I just ignore or mark as spam but like - seriously guys? The biggest thing is if you don't like something - don't read it. And especially don't ask for more after you leave a negative comment because that's just stupid.

That being said though, out of pure spite for comments like these I've decided to continue writing what I want to write because clearly I just ruined your whole day and I take joy out of discovering just how many people I can piss off with my writing.

Martyn and Scott teaming up is really interesting when we look into Last Life and their motifs in the series.

I was recently rewatching LL and got hit by Martyn being tasked by the Watchers with killing Scott , a detail I fully forgot about. Then, on his last episode, Scott is the one to kill Martyn (which is a whole thing in itself) and the Watchers talk to him, having two scenes in question that really stuck out to me:

"Oh, the irony. To be killed by the one you were tasked to destroy."

"Our hunger grew those months, we waited. And all it took was a simple 3...2...1. And you all obliged. Bar one."

"You mean Scott?"

"His will to live was too strong, his flame burned too bright."

Martyn is a listener, encouraged to obey and serve those things. He didn't go through with it, but it was still his purpose. There's some loyalty to obedience there, seen in serving Dogwarts and the Southlands.

Scott, in every moment he could, decided to break the rules and do it his way. Teaming with a red on Third Life, being the only one to refuse to kill as a boogey in Last Life and going against the soulmate bound in Double Life. He never obeys.

They're both survivors. Both were part of the last four standing in Double Life and Last Life, most of their actions are focused on surviving.

Something about these two being teamed up on this season is so interesting to me, especially when we take Martyn's role in Last Life and how he was supposed to end Scott's life.

They also have very similar motifs (or curses, I just like calling them motifs), with Scott always outliving his partners and Martyn outliving the causes he's dedicated to. The pattern can't continue this season for both of them though, with their curses canceling each other out (how @/cherrifire pointed out recently).

There's just some dramatic narrative about them being paired up and I'm so excited to see how it turns out

headcanon that mary is cranky when sleep deprived and no one wants to mess with her when she’s running low on sleep but then there’s lily who will tease her relentlessly and curl up with her being all “I love it when you’re mad for no reason” while mary just rolls her eyes and goes “you’re lucky I love you” which is immediately followed up by a very amused “ooh you love me?” At which point mary will roll over and pretend to sleep while smothering a smile into her pillow

Hello, lovely human! I'm glad to see you at this little corner of the internet :))

I'm Arianna (she/her) -- writer, poet, queer Christian, feminist, ENFJ, and constant fangirl. rereading tmr books and i’ve re-noticed so many things:

-both newt and minho referring to teresa as “thomas’ gf” is so funny (some people are jealous)

-minho putting his hands on his hips every two seconds

-newt and minho acting like an old married couple

-minho and jorge are frenemies. minho telling jorge to stfu ab his headache and that he’ll get him an aspirin- I CRIED
