Mihoyo really perfected the Herrscher with HoV. She's the first (truly malevolent) Herrscher we meet, and she's objectively not the strongest, but she's still the most intimidating one by far. Partially thanks to execution and partially thanks to her design.

Her design is great because while it's not *too* detailed, it exudes power (the fur collar as an example). And she's obviously not human. You can look at her face alone and tell that she's not a human. Not to mention her reverberating voice, wings, and peacock thingies. And of course, Will of the Herrscher. Everything about that cutscene is perfect. The music, the sound direction, the camera angles. All perfect. HoV is terrifying and so much stronger than everyone else.

Another thing that makes her so intimidating is that she just... doesn't care. She's apathetic, cruel, and doesn't show many emotions outside of malice until she's cornered. Not to downplay the other Herrschers, but HoV is the only one that truly feels like a God of destruction.

Most of the other Herrschers we see in animations are either conscious humans doing good or holding back their full power. (Mei)

I think Senti is the closest example to a Herrscher showing their full power in an animation, but she isn't nearly as intimidating as HoV because of how emotional she is, and the fact that we *know* she's going to lose. Same with HoD and HoC. With HoV, there's none of that. Up until the end of ch.9, she's so untouchable and apathetic, a true weapon of destruction.

Also, HoV's relationship with Kiana's relationship as the two halves of Sirin is *perfect*.

Anyways, HoV is still the best Herrscher and the second best villain after Otto in all of Honkai.

Sorry for any typos! This whole analysis/ramble was inspired by this great HoV edit I watched. It reminded me of how much I love her as a character.

Ahem, I'm an ISFP who's rising sign is Scorpio, moon sign is Aries and solar sign is cancer.

I absolutely adore writing, reading and exploring outside, urbex is the best thing I've ever known in my entire life. I'm also trilingual ! I just like languages so I'm studying them, probably to travel later although I might just change and get a bachlors degree in psychology just so I can help people. I also love swimming, favorite sport ngl. I forgot to mention, my pronouns are she/her and I'm bisexual though I lean a little more towards women (bless them).

In terms of personality I'd say I'm pretty shy and quiet with strangers but once I know them I'm a goofy dumbass and seem pretty extroverted because I become rather chatty. People have mentioned how intimidating I look, I'm about 5'8 and fairly fit with broad shoulders. So some have approached me out of curiosity and because I look mysterious (their words not mine). Though I'm a big teddy bear, my love language is physical touch and quality time after all.

Aside from my height I have middle length wavy (mb fluffy too ig) brown hair and brown eyes. I wear glasses or else I can't see crap. My clothing style is rather tomboyish, I prefer brown and beige colours and wear pretty simple things (tho I make them stylish).

Some details about myself are that I really like a good challenge and annoying the heck out of someone, some say I seem a little sadistic with my teasing lmao. Despite being chatty I'm rather laid back and quiet.

I get there's a lot of crosstagging on insta, but why is the ENTIRE FUCKING KALLEN KASLANA TAG FILLED WITH ELYSIA. THERE'S MORE ELYSIA (AND KIANA) PICS IN HER TAG THEN KALLEN HERSELF.

And it isn't just her either. Wanna look at Sakura? Elysia! How about Seele or Bronya? Elysia! Fucking Otto Apocalypse? Elysia! IT'S ALL ELYSIA. I get it, instagram has a LOT of crosstagging. That's just how it is. But you can't look at a single Honkai tag without seeing AT LEAST 10 pictures of Elysia. Admittedly, Kiana has invaded the tags a lot, too. But despite being the protagonist, I still don't see her as much as Elysia. Even Kiana herself's tag has been invaded by Elysia (though thankfully not as much as other characters.)

BUT HOLY SHIT I'M SO TIRED OF SEEING HER UGLY PINK FACE EVERYWHERE I GO. IF I COULD KICK ANY HONKAI CHARACTER, I WOULD KICK HER. AND THE THING IS, I DONT EVEN HATE HER THAT MUCH (Yet. I'm getting very close) BUT EVERY TIME I SEE HER, I LIKE HER LESS AND LESS.

No way I just saw someone say that Elysia is one of the most human characters...

I don't think Elysia is completely without flaws (her complimenting herself constantly is a great example), but none of her flaws are portrayed as, y'know, flaws. The writers want her to be some perfect angel, the ideal human, but they do absolutely nothing with the traits that could make her feel actually human.

Kind of unrelated, but the whole Herrscher of Origin/Humanity thing is an ass pull, and I will die on that hill.

The early Honkai chapters have such a different vibe from the rest of it, but I kinda prefer it

That's why ch.9 is the best because it has the classic aesthetics and vibes, AND the really good tragic writing!

I don't really like the more fantasyish route they're going for 😭 It's fine to explore different aesthetics, and that's what they've been doing but I wanna go back to the vibrant mecha scifi vibes from the beginning.That's one thing I like about Honkai. A lot of sci-fi games have a sort of dull apocalyptic "realism" to it (take pgr, for example), but Honkai has mechs in other colors then gray that feel like they're from a classic mecha anime and brightly colored monsters, while maintaining a feeling of realism. Especially since the apocalypse depicted in Honkai is surprisingly realistic. (Despite the chaos, the world keeps moving. There are still political struggles and fights, yes, but the whole world isn't constantly at war. It's nice and realistic)

Idk, I just want less of these more muted fantasy settings they've been putting out and more of the vibrant sci-fi aspects.

I'm posting this whole rant here because the Honkai fandom is braindead, and from what I've seen, I'm more likely to have people agreeing with me on here than on twt.

I don't think my argument is perfect or anything, but it's late, and god does that tweet infuriate me. Why does no one have any literacy comprehension around here.

Unpopular opinion, but most of Hi3's designs look better than their Hsr counterparts (and in general tbh)

I think that hsr Seele's design is one of the better ones, but I'd choose Stygian Nymph over it any day. It flows better and has way less unnecessary and confusing details 😭

Not to mention what they did to my girl Natasha... they absolutely could've made her look gentler without making her look like THAT.

Not saying that the hsr designs are bad because a lot of them are pretty good and some I actually prefer over hi3, but I feel like people are only saying that they're better than certain hi3 designs because the art style and models are higher quality and more refined. I think my problem with hsr designs is that most of them have way too many meaningless details. Most hi3 designs have fewer details, but enough to make the design look good. And usually they have more meaning too. (Not always ofc (*cough cough* HoFi)

Take Cocolia, for example. I'm not too big of a fan of her hi3 design, but god is her star rail design, HIDEOUS. There's way too many unnecessary details and the colors clash too. At least I can actually look at hi3 Cocolia without feeling like I'm gonna get a sensory overload. A prime example of people only preferring it because the model is better if you ask me.

I can get that people may prefer them because they're less fanservicey, but personally, fanservice doesn't bother me so long as the design flows well and has even a little bit of meaning.

And whenever I discover something that interests me such as phycology and astrology, I'll always put 100% of effort to find out more and more about it and after I'm sadisfied with my research I never feel burned out but when it comes to school work it drains me out completely within a really short time
