OH BOY, YESTERDAY WAS TONS OF FUN!!!! I was taking so many notes in my journal when looking through the welcome home website, it was such a delightful experience to have finally had the chance to look through the site it for myself!!

Clown and the team definitely went above and beyond, they definitely deserve all of the praises and love for their hard work. The new art/content, the lore, the voices of the characters, it was all such a dream and I loved every bit of it!!!

I hope you all also had just as much fun looking through the secrets and information!!💙💙💙

artificer deserves to be extra unhinged, when i draw other slugcats i somewhat care about anatomy, but for artificer - nuh uh !!!! what's more important is that its body bends in extreme ways with sharp angles and the pose has a flow, she can break every bone if it means there's more sharp angles in the drawing

Been obsessing over the fact that my old oc, Artie, and Kinitopet are like so one in the same it's actually crazy.

Pink AI that's friendly on the surface, is actually really clingy and obsessive at times. Lonely and really just trying to fulfill a core objective as set by their creator or other influences, someone or something that they look up to as a godly figure maybe.

They both act as your friendly AI assistant, Artie is just for a specific program, while Kinito just gets to be his own thing.

Both want you to stay with them. Both will go out of their way to do things to make sure that happens.

Also I found an old sketch from way back that somehow mimics the literal same plot beats to the ending portion of kinitopet and that threw me for a loop. Too bad it was only a concept sketch.

something something sentience of ai is inherently a tragedy or something like that.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still breathing. I'm currently doing some non-WH/ original story work, so that's why I haven't been posting anything here at the moment. I'm just taking a little tiny break, but I'll be back soon enough with more silly stuff :3

YES! Exactly! The parallels!!!

Neither Inv or Arti were ready for that kind of responsibility and the people they were trying to protect ended up getting hurt, and it was partially their fault.

Arti tried to keep her pups safe, but they ended up dying because she turned away for just a moment and her pup grabbed a pearl. Was it the scavenger’s fault? Yes. But is it something she hated and blamed herself for? Definitely.

Inv tried to keep Saint safe, but ended up forcing Saint to ascend Sliver which really damaged their mental health (taking a life does that to you, especially if you didn’t want to). Was it Bountiful’s fault? One hundred percent. But is it something that Inv felt really awful about? Absolutely.

Obviously their situations are very different, but there are some significant parallels that they both had to be parents before they were ready, and they both messed up.
