Heç nəyi düşünmək istəmirəm, amma beynim düşünməklə o qədər məșğuldu ki, düşünməməyi düşünüb qəbul edəcək qədər zamanı yoxdu..

European Paper Wasp (Polistes dominula)

Fun fact: the joint between the thorax and abdomen of wasps and related species is called the petiole! This is also what the stem that connects the leaf to a branch is called. The petiole is very thin so that the wasp can bend its abdomen and get better stinging leverage while standing on its target.

These suckers are considered invasive in the US and Canada, first discovered in Rochester, Michigan in 1995, displacing the native Northern paper wasp (Polistes fuscatus). While native Polistes species eat mostly caterpillars, P. dominula has a more generalist diet, giving them an advantage during periods of shorter resources.

Spots and patterns are linked to behavioral differences. Females with more spots on the facial area (clypeus) were more aggressive, and these indicators are used by other wasps when making decisions (a 2008 study by Tibbetts and Lindsay showed that wasps would choose food sources guarded by a wasp with fewer spots 39 out of 48 times). Wasps were found to be more aggressive to others with dishonest facial signals. Males with smaller elliptical patterns on the abdomen tend to be more aggressive than those with larger irregular markings.

Would you consider 3 months to be an acceptable length of time for an artist to complete a watercolor painting of 18 separate characters in the same picture? I'm a little concerned because the artist keeps extending her time estimate and it's been 3 months now. She says it's mostly done but I'm a little skeptical.

oh damn i mean 18 characters is a LOOOOOOOT of characters!!!!! I would never in my life even accept to draw something like that lmao i like having free time.... yeah 3 months isn’t really hard to believeI suggest you ask for WIP pictures and if you’re in a hurry let the artist know though. Communication is really important in commission contracts!! Make sure you know why it’s taking a long time but be understanding of the artist’s situation
