Peach Riot Rise Up OC

Edit: This post is getting a lot of likes... I'm very curious about what you think about Peach Riot :D I don't know anything about it, do you? How has this post caught your eye?

I don't know what this Blind box series is about but my inner child swears that its seen them before and is obsessed with them, so when my friend @kisamilovesu saw them in stores I had to ask her to buy me a few as well. This is my inspired drawing "Astrid - Flute Frenzy Fever"

I made a bio of myself inspired by some other ocs I've seen on here, but mostly wanted to make one since I'm playing so much Lethal that I want a bio that people can see to know how I'm like, I forgot to mention anything about crashing a lot though.... but oh well!

Sketchstrid Journey Challenge for this year!

#2023-01-01

Last year I felt like I almost lost my drive to create, and I felt it with my art the hardest. This year, I want to rebuild that fire and create more than I did before. My goals this year is to draw at least twice a month, which compared to my alarmingly low 20 pieces of art from last year, is something I really hope I can achieve.

My other goals and/or motivations to do this year is to:

Actually UPLOAD my art. Maybe even my shitposts/wips.

Focus on learning figure drawing and breaking down anatomy

Start using more real life references instead of cartoons/anime

Keep up my Pixel art journey

Try and do some animatics!

Improve my writing skills . . .

. . . and create some stories! (Next year perhaps web comics?)

My favorite piece of art from 2023.

To be realistic, I really doubt it but right now I'm aiming to draw every single day for the year - even if I don't finish anything, however I would like to passively try but my main goal is to at least draw something once a week. After doing an alarmingly low 20 few pieces last year, I want to try and bounce back and draw more frequently. The image above is my best work of last year AND my first attempt of pixel art and I'm insanely proud of it! Here are a few of my favorites as well.

I haven't really drawn traditionally in years and I'm not that good at it when you compare them to my digital works, but what I never realized that compared to three years ago my traditional art has improved majorly and I'm actually impressed!

I've always struggled to fill in sketchpads because I always feel like I wasted them because there was always so much left over white space that I didn't use for my still non-dynamic character drawings, so I set out to fill out every single page and its made me so enthusiastic about the entire process!

I haven't drawn much digitally currently as my tablet dies quickly and its rather bulky and I dont have a desk and ect ect ect its becoming rather troublesome to set up. So I've been doodling a lot (when I die on Lethal Company hahaha) Here is all the works I've doodled so far

Sketchstrid challenge - Daily Strike End - 7

So its been a week of constant art, which I decided to call my strike here. I'm not able to focus on breaking down shapes and this isn't really helping my art right now - I can already see that my second step is my weakest and I keep focusing on finishing the drawing for the day rather than improving it... so I got to make a new plan, so no daily drawings (for now?)

Sketchstrid challenge - Daily Strike - 6

Day 6 is complete and im glad to say from the future that so is the 7th, a full week of drawing which is insane since I hardly drew at all last year... I'm already really burnt out but I think its more uninspired. I'm trying to force myself to break down shapes but as you can see im struggling to do that step. I really want to crack down and force myself to become a better artist this year so im going to have to see what else I can do to try and learn...
