personal piece. i've struggled with depression, apathy and disassociation for most of my life, and struggled with emotional regulation. more often than not, any "positive" experiences become Too Much and leaves me in extreme physical discomfort. it hurts to be happy doing something i enjoy. this year i went to the lunar new year festival and had experiences that left me feeling both wonderfully alive, and in pain, burning alive. all i could really keep repeating to myself was "this too, is being alive".

The effect
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I follow everything he tells me.
I follow no one order.
I am his perfect solder.
A perfect leader.
I do anything to make him happy.
I do anything for my cult.
Even if it hurt me mentally.
Mentally i am broken.
My identity is his.
I have no identity.
He owns me.
No one owns me
(adding music for the playlist i made for her. It took me a day or so to get the right one lol)

The Flight of Jane Shore
Artist: Valentine Cameron Prinsep (British, 1838-1904)
Date: c. 1865
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, Australia
Description
As a teenager, Val Prinsep was encouraged to paint by the artist George Frederick Watts, who was a long-standing house guest of Prinsep’s parents. According to Watts, in a letter of 1857, ‘I have … plunged him into the Pre-Raphaelite Styx … I found him loitering on the edge and gave him a good shove, and now his gods are Rossetti, Hunt and Millais’. Jane Shore (d. 1527), the influential mistress of Edward IV, was arrested after Edward’s death by the soldiers of Richard III, and imprisoned in the Tower of London. Prinsep shows her just before her arrest, crouching under a bridge, a hunted figure, her hair and clothes dishevelled, as she hides from the soldiers passing above.

Mkaayy sooo, this needs some context:
A bit ago (yesterday lmao), I felt the urge to create an OC based on @ask-coppertop’s MLP fan-species, mequins! Why? Because they’re fuckin cool as hell, that’s why👀
So this little urge lead to this fella:
Tumblr media
He doesn’t have a name yet so feel free to leave ideas in the replies/reblogs💅
I based this dude on my favourite mineral (rainbow obsidian) and one of my favourite horse breeds (gypsy vanners)!
Basically, he used to be a stalker mequin in some of the early mequin conflicts (check Coppertop’s blog for details on that) but has since chilled out, now living a life of art!
He mostly does carvings, making sculptures from stone, gems, wood, etc, and sometimes painting them. He used his tail to sculpt👀
Here are his adjectives:
-Coarse
-Uninhibited
-Sly
-Daring
-Dependable
-Helpful
-Honest
-Revellious
-Decisive
Also, here’s the blended version :3
