Hello! This is my first time writing a request so I apologize if it's confusing. I saw one of your headcanon posts and I really liked it. I was wondering if you could maybe write some romantic headcanons for Arven (pokémon) with a transmasculine reader who has very invalidating family members? I personally have bad dysphoria and family issues and would appreciate if you could write this sometime; You may decline if you dont feel comfortable with this request, though.

arven x transmasc! reader w/ family issues

When Arven first hears about your family issues, he's moreso angry on your behalf. He has his own share of family trauma, but for family members to not support you? It's beyond him.

You're so... so good, he thinks. How can't they see that?

"hey, do you want me to like... kill those guys for you?"

"what." "nothing."

If you'd like him to, in a situation where you have to interact with your family, he'll go with you as moral support.

he'll hold your hand and give you reassuring squeezes, and won't even flinch if you're practically holding on for dear life back.

He can't promise he'll be peaceful if he hears them say anything unsavory, but he'll try. for you.

watches them with a careful glare the whole time and will not hesitate to get the two of you out of there as soon as he thinks it's needed.

if not, he'll text you during it and wait for you when you get back.

they're usually reassuring words, pictures of Mabosstiff, or food. Will definitely make you something tasty afterwards.

it'll help motivate you and give you something to look forward to, and it keeps him busy, so it's a win-win for him.

"regardless of what they think... i know who you are. More importantly, you know who you are." followed up by a kiss to the top of your head.

if you bind, he'll hold onto your stuff for you if it's something you need to keep secret. will also wash your binder for you if you use one, etc

speaking of binding, reminds you to be safe and take breaks, all that stuff. he will not hesitate to wrangle you so you can give your body a break; he won't compromise your health if he has anything to say about it.

you somehow never cease to amaze Arven; this is no different, either.

he knows that it's not easy, being trans. he might not be able to relate to your struggle exactly, but he's aware of the great strength that's required to be true to yourself.

for that, you are already so much stronger than those who try to tell you otherwise.

when you're feeling dysphoric, he'll wrap you up in his vest and let you watch whatever you want on the TV in his dorm while he makes snacks.

His vest smells like him. It's an effective distraction!

Arven's always telling you how handsome you are anyways, but he's careful not to lay it on too thick when you're feeling like this. He doesn't want to come across as condescending.

He does, however, gush over how handsome you are if you go shopping together. He's more than happy to accompany you, and every time you come out of the changing room to get his opinion on something, his response is usually a playful wolf whistle.

DEFINETLY makes "what's cooking, good looking?" jokes almost every time.

you probably groan and roll your eyes at him, but it's very genuine. His comments may all kind of be the same, but it's only because he thinks you look good in anything.

more than anything, he wants you to be happy. seeing you be confident makes him happy in turn; he'll always support you no matter what.

sneakily buys sandwich toothpicks with little trans flags on them when you're not looking to put in your sandwiches

Drayton:

Drayton, as a bisexual, is SO in love with you. He's always wanted to call himself a boykisser LOL

He thinks you and Sylveon make a great pair, and he takes care of Sylveon like one of his own, despite being a Dragon user himself.

He supports you whether or not you decide to have transitioning surgery! He loves you all the same :)

If anyone ever deadnames or misgenders you on purpose, they better start praying to whatever God they worship because Drayton is going to FIND them. He definitely just wants to have a civil talk with them guys, no murder or anything!

Dotes on you a lot and is the best supportive boyfriend ever. He reminds you to take your meds and helps you pay for them too! He's always telling you that you look great, he loves whatever clothes you pick out, and of course, he loves kissing you. He has to live up to the boykisser title, after all.

Arven:

He's surprised when he finds out you're trans, but not for what you might think-- he's surprised you're trans because well.. he already thought you were a cis guy.. LOL

After the initial confusion though, he reassures you that this doesn't change his opinion of you at all! He's always willing to be supportive if it makes you happy.

You may or may not have to restrain Arven from punching someone if they misgender or deadname you. He does NOT tolerate that shit, ever.

Arven's so supportive to you on your bad days. If you still have your periods, he's there to bring you pads and reassure you that he still loves you. He makes you food and puts a blanket around you, making sure you're as comfortable as possible.

You and him both stay up late studying for your classes. Study sessions with his boyfriend, as he calls it.

Your Sylveon gets along with him well! It even helps him cook sometimes by lifting stuff with its ribbons. Your Sylveon ALWAYS gets excited whenever Arven makes desserts.

🥪 — After your talk, though (and the deep kiss and wonderful cuddle session that followed), he’s probably got some questions. I imagine he’d be the type to repress his own sexuality for a long time to begin with, so be doesn’t exactly know much about the rest of the LGBTQ+ community. He wants to know more, both to be involved more in the queer community, and also to establish and respect a comfort zone for you!

🥪 — He’s always very polite when he does have questions to ask and always reminds you that you don’t have to answer if it makes you uncomfortable. But it’s a lot easier to talk about your sexuality, the way you express it, how you figured it out, how it makes certain things feel, when you have Arven there being so genuinely curious and wanting to learn about these things.

🥪 — You can also tell when he did research because he’ll be confirming some really silly facts about the community with you the next morning (i.e., asking you if you really like cake to confirm the memes he saw online. He sorta conducts himself like a confused grandpa trying to be supportive but not really knowing what to do, and you tell him so. He hates you for saying that. >:| ).

🥪 — So speaking of the classic asexual “I’d rather have cake” meme, you find him baking you cakes with alarming frequency because he thinks he’s being funny.

🥪 — Overall, this really doesn’t alter your relationship with Arven much. You’re still his handsome and perfect boyfriend, which he’ll make known anytime you like. He already loved you so much and like he said, hearing you are ace changes none of that.

“Anyone who would only want you for your body is insane anyway, S/O. Really, only your body? I’m mad at anyone who would think like that and they’re just hypothetical people, like, you’d have to be the dumbest person in the world to get with someone as perfect as you and think your body is the only thing that’s worthwhile. Even if I was disappointed about you being ace, there’s literally hundreds of other things about you to love that mean way more than sex ever could.”

I wanted to drop down another idea,, Amethio x Trans masc Reader, (preferably if they don't have supportive parents, I love what you did with the Arven headcannons,,,)

Amethio x Transmasc! Reader

I honestly headcanon Amethio as transmasc as well so. T4T couple goals to be honest.

That aside, Amethio's response to you being trans is pretty neutral, regardless of where you are in your transition or how you tell him.

It's as simple as a nod, and maybe "I see. Thank you for telling me."

And then he just goes on with his day.

It doesn't change how he views you at all, you're still just. yourself. Not really his style to make a big deal of it.

That's not to say he doesn't care, though.

If he ever has any questions, he takes care to say them as politely as possible and doesn't pressure you to answer, and listens intently if you do.

Will help remind you to take breaks while binding/make sure you aren't pushing yourself if you ask him to, for example.

Occasionally will see something with the trans flag on it or with trans flag colors and will hand it to you/get it for you.

"This seems like something you'd like."

If someone's being an asshole to you, whether it be a family member or stranger on the street, he'll swiftly intervene.

"Excuse me. Just what do you think you're saying to my boyfriend?"

He doesn't even have to battle them. If his icy glare isn't enough to scare them off, the very angry Ceruledge looming over his shoulder is.

Then will pull you away, muttering something under his breath about what a nuisance that person is.

As for your family, well, Amethio is most likely to just tell you not to engage with them at all. In his eyes, there's no use in being around others like that.

He knows sometimes it's not that easy, though.

So if you have to deal with it, he'll just nod in understanding. He knows you're more than capable on your own, but he does worry.

Tells you to let him know if anyone says anything to you, and that he'll settle it in a pokemon battle.

You might think he's joking. He's not.

Ceruledge and Corviknight both love you too so they'll throw a fit if anyone makes you upset.

His job means he may not be able to come with you if you have to see your family, so he finds himself checking his phone more than usual when on a mission, wondering if you're okay.

Zir and Conia notice that he seems more distracted than usual, and wonder if he's worrying about something

Will text you more often, too. Expect messages at regular intervals inquiring as to if you are okay and how things are going, if he needs to pick you up.

"Ame, you can't just drop everything on your mission for me."

"I can and I will."

Afterwards, will just sit with you and spend some time with you to make up for his absence. He's not the most experienced in comfort if that's what you need, but he'll hold you and make sure you're not alone, and will listen to you talk or vent or rant or whatever.

Alternatively, if you'd like some space, he understands and is more than happy to give you that, too.

"You're a strong and capable person and trainer, more than you give yourself credit for. don't let those blind to that fact make you doubt yourself."
