Well, it's not sleepover weekend anymore but here I am on a Thursday, answering sleepover weekend asks!

My first fandom was Buffy the Vampire Slayer (because I am An Old). I discovered the show by way of my sister's friend, who spent the night a few times during middle school and just would. not. stop. talking about it. From there, I want to say I fell into the fandom by doing an AskJeeves or AltaVista (told you I'm An Old) search at the public library -- because we didn't have internet yet at my house -- and well... there were no web filters in those days, because the collected works of Saber ShadowKat and Nautibitz and RipeWickedPlum immediately appeared in the search results.

I didn't write fic until a couple years later, once I went to college, but I definitely had a couple floppy drives full of fic that I downloaded on the library computer and took home to read on my non-web-enabled PC.
