I still don't understand how Ned could like Robert
I feel like Ned is actually a socially weak person, and I think he might have been impressed by Robert's bravado.

I saw a post that says boromir gives off girl sad vibes (and I agree, pippin and meet are his daughters) and one of the tags was like this is why boromir was reborn as ned stark with 2 daughters and I'm just thinking if need and boromir switched places quite a lot of things would resolve faster lmao. The ring would find it harder to manipulate ned because how to do it even, meanwhile boromir would see right through Joffrey lmfao wdyt?
I mean YEAH XDDDDDDD also tbf boromir in middle earth would have fared WAAAY better than ned like no way that guy was gonna not grasp what the fuck was going on behind the curtain like bless ned but politically savvy he was not XDDDDDD we stan the switch uwu

How many warrior women of ASOIAF actually get married?
The only one I can think of is Joanna lannister who gelded a greyjoy and made him her son's fool

i got hate for saying that shipping elia with rhaegar and lyanna as some happy poly union is weird, and that the three of them are mostly just shipped together so some rxl shippers can ease their own guilt about liking rxl. shows u everything that is wrong with this fandom
I doubt any R/L shipper has guilt about it 😄 I think they like to tie up that particular loose end and label themselves ~progressive~ for having a poly ship. Or, worse, they'll scream "bUt DoRnE iS iNtO PoLy!!!" despite the fact that a) all of Dorne is NOT like that, it's pretty much just Oberyn, b) they're using another culture for their ship advantage, and c) Elia, Rhaegar, and Lyanna were not in Dorne, they were in King's Landing where any relationship between Rhaegar and Lyanna, let alone one that produced a child, would be a threat to Elia and her own children.
It's ludicrous and it sucks that they're still peddling that drivel.

literally like power is a curious thing. who lives, who dies. power resides where men believe it resides. it's a trick, a shadow on the wall. HOLY WATER BURN YOUR KINGDOM DOWN HOLY WATER sometimes i wonder if this is the price for what we've done...for our sins. SEVEN DEVILS ALL AROUND YOU SEVEN DEVILS IN YOUR HOUSE SEE I WAS DEAD WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND I'LL BE DEAD BEFORE THE DAY IS DONE three victories don't make you a conqueror. it's better than three defeats. YOU CAN'T KEEP IT OOOOUUUUT IT'S COMING THROUGH YOUR WAAAAAALLS TO DEVASTATE YOUR HEAAAARRRT AND TO TAKE YOUR SOOOOUUUUUUUL FOR WHAT HAS BEEN DOOOOOOOOOONE i will hurt for you for this. a day will come and your joy will turn to ashes and you will know the debt is paid. and i'll be dead before the day is doooooooone. anyone can be killed. 'fore the day. is. done.

bitchy drunk post but just saw someone denouncing the good/flag/shadows fandom as being ‘superwholock 2.0’ that makes ‘tumblr unusable again’ ok well sorry some of us were having fun in 2013. truly cannot imagine what you use The Supernatural Website for that would make it ‘usuable’ for you - targaryen headcanons? just blacklist and move on dot com

Arya screwed up her face in a scowl. "Jaime Lannister murdered Jory and Heward and Wyl, and the Hound murdered Mycah. Somebody should have beheaded them." (Sansa, AGOT)
"She says there's this great pack, hundreds of them, mankillers. The one that leads them is a she-wolf, a bitch from the seventh hell." A she-wolf. Arya sloshed her beer, wondering. Was the Gods Eye near the Trident? She wished she had a map. It had been near the Trident that she'd left Nymeria. She hadn't wanted to, but Jory said they had no choice, that if the wolf came back with them she'd be killed for biting Joffrey, even though he'd deserved it. They'd had to shout and scream and throw stones, and it wasn't until a few of Arya's stones struck home that the direwolf had finally stopped following them. She probably wouldn't even know me now, Arya thought. Or if she did, she'd hate me. (Arya, ACOK)
-
“I thought that she meant me, but it was the Stark girl that she wanted, maimed or dead." The things I do for love. "It was only by chance that Stark's own men found the girl before me. If I had come on her first . . ." (Jaime, AFFC)
"Wolves. Hundreds of the bloody beggars." He'd lost two sentries to them. The wolves had come out of the dark to savage them. "Armed men in mail and boiled leather, and yet the beasts had no fear of them. Before he died, Jate said the pack was led by a she-wolf of monstrous size. A direwolf, to hear him tell it. The wolves got in amongst our horse lines too. The bloody bastards killed my favorite bay." "A ring of fires round your camp might keep them off," said Jaime, though he wondered. Could Ser Dermot's direwolf be the same beast that had mauled Joffrey near the crossroads? (Jaime, AFFC)

what is Tyrion's type? Sansa and Shae are quite different
Women who are completely beholden to him that he can then self-flagellate about because they don't actually like him, they're just his hostages.

So, a little while ago Diana Galbaldon (one of GRRM's friends) had this to say about GOT and it's relation to ASOIAF: "What happened is that his show caught up with him [GRRM], and he then met with the showrunners and he told them what he was planning to do in that book, so that they could then write accordingly. Only they didn’t write accordingly, they took his stuff, and distorted it and wrote their own ending, which wasn’t at all what he had in mind but used all the elements that he told them.”
What "stuff" do you think they took from George to create their ending? It can be as vague as you like!
no problem wrt being vague! :D and sure I mean... I'd like to state that some of the stuff I'm about to list is stuff I've been saying since before the got finale wrt the jon stuff but anyway thanks diana for saying what we've all been saying for ages but naaah let's showtruth instead /s anyway so
jon going off with the wildlings - like I've said for years that imvho jon becomes king, splits the seven kingdoms and then goes beyond the wall in auto-exile because it's the one place where he was happy and no one expected shit of him and as much as the show made it suck (also idt dany dies or she dies murdered like that lmao) that is a thing I've been saying for ages
the small council made up of people from disadvantaged categories - I mean idt it's gonna be the same as in the show (for one brienne's never gonna be in the kg but arianne could be in her place and I have a lot of doubts about bronn being there george doesn't gaf about bronn that much), but the concept that we start with a council made of old white rich (assholes) men and we end up with one that's wholly different is absolutely grrm-ish - I mean, the show had bran (disabled), tyrion (disabled), brienne (a woman), davos and bronn (former criminals) and sam (abuse victim/dismissed for his appearance/his father basically sent him off to die at the wall to have him out of the way) and while I highly doubt there's half a chance as stated of brienne and bronn being in it, tyrion davos and sam are absolutely viable candidates and like I also think the small council lasts until jon does his thing and then stays only for KL but anyway that was his thing
bran being king 50% in the sense that I think he becomes king in the north and not king of the whole shebang but since they had to y'know do the whole ice queen sansa thing they decided it was the same thing if it was wholeass seven kingdoms because WHO CARES ABOUT ARTHURIANA SYMBOLISM RIGHT themes are for 8th graders
the iron throne getting melted but not by comrade drogon
comrade drogon bringing dany's body away is like.. I mean I think dany decides she doesn't gaf for kingship after all and goes back to essos where she actually was happy so comrade drogon leaving with her makes sense just....... not..... like that
edmure and asha surviving and ruling their respective homelands
btw I also think KL and others are in that order not the show's
arya going off to see the world might have sense just if gendry goes with her and she comes back after or that's completely trash
that's it tbh I mean I don't think anything else that was in the finale makes a shred of sense and that because the bells didn't make a shred of sense and neither did the long night but anyway that's my two cents XD

Daemon saying he spared Rhaenyra because she was a child but LAENA WAS EVEN MORESO A CHILD THAN RHAENYRA AND HE MARRIED HER DJDHDNNSBDBDJD
I didn’t really like a lot of this episode. Daemons been so dull and cold after the jump. Where’s the warrior from the books.
Really felt for Aemond this ep- defending his sister, going on his own (totally ignored) to claim a dragon, and then having four family members attack him at once for it. Like he’s a shit in the books but in the show I saw him approach Jace after the funeral and clearly want to reach out to him and just good for that little boy. He’s doing his best when his dad doesn’t love him and his moms a psycho. Show Aemond and Helaena, I like them both.
Baela and Jace djdjejsjdbdbdjsjjsjs
Corlys defending the boys when Rhaenys is being shitty about them. Come ON Rhaenys. You know your son. And those two boys are the boys that Laenor chose to be his heirs. Accept and love those munchkins. They need you.

It’s possible to like Alicent and not defend the indefensible. This is Sansa all over again. Apparently being critical of either of them means “hating women” as if the other female characters we like don’t exist. Guess what? To paraphrase Taylor Swift, women like hunting witches too, doing the dirtiest work for the patriarchy and that’s what Alicent and Sansa (and Septa Mordane and Catelyn, who I’m a stan of ) do. They actively uphold the patriarchy, harming other girls/women, and prevent progress for women within the story. And that’s realistic. Some of the biggest real world misogynists are women and those women are pushed forward by the men they serve as mouth pieces for their agenda.
