STATE OF PLAY 2000 Played Syd [also appeared with Bill Nighy and Marc Warren] Available on Stan.
THE YOUNG VISITERS 2003 Played Horace [also appeared with Bill Nighy] Available on YouTube.

INSPECTOR LYNLEY 2004 S3E1 In Pursuit of the Proper Sinner. Played Julien Britton. Available on Daily Motion.
CASANOVA 2004 Played young Giac. Can be found on DVD [not worth it, IMO]
THE BRIEF Lack of Affect. 2004. Played Dan Ottway. Available on YouTube.
JERICHO S1E1 A Pair of Ragged Claws. 2005. Played Edward Wellesley
Available on DVD
ALL ABOUT GEORGE. 2005. Played Paul. Available on YouTube.
GHOST STORY. #13. 2006. Played Edward ? Available on YouTube.
HEROES AND VILLAINS. Napoleon. 2006. Played Napoleon Bonaparte. Available on YouTube in 6 parts.
IN LOVE WITH BARBARA. 2008. Played Ronald Cartland, from S2 mostly. Available on YouTube.
AGATHA CHRISTIE COLLECTION. The Clocks. 2009. Played Colin Race. [Appeared with Jaime Winston's.] Available on YouTube but the pirate copy is dreadful. Otherwise DVD.

HEADING OUT E6. Played Ben. Available on DVD.
UTOPIA S2E1 The Oncoming Storm. 2014
Played Dr Philip Carvel
[Tom appears only in S2E1, despite TomBurke Online stating he is also in E5.] Dr Philip Carvel, a brilliant if flawed scientist is caught at a very bad time by a nasty person and he makes a deal with the devil.
The series is probably worth watching. The single episode I've seen is excellent: production values, acting, script etc. But I just couldn't watch any more of it.
Geraldine James is brilliant as the "nasty piece of work." who traps the "mad scientist."
Available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc0aWZQKEmU&list=PL_jIDr2tZiuTbX0eeNBacb4J-GkQ3bOXC

Russian President Vladimir Putin visits the St Panteleimon Monastery on Mount Athos, in Karyes on May 28, 2016. Putin, who has often talked about his strong Orthodox faith, will join celebrations for the 1,000th anniversary of the Russian presence at the ancient, all-male monastic community of Mount Athos. The visit, Putin's first to the EU since December, comes at a low ebb in relations between Russia and Europe over the conflict in Ukraine that broke out in 2014, with sanctions still in force against Moscow.

Feast of Feasts: The Resurrection of our Lord, Holy Pascha
John 1.1-17
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came for testimony, to bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light. The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not. He came to his own home, and his own people received him not. But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father. (John bore witness to him, and cried, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, for he was before me.’”) And from his fulness have we all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Acts 1.1-8
In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. To them he presented himself alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the kingdom of God. And while staying with them he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me, for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.”

Fighting Words by Khentkawes
Five Times Porthos Stopped Aramis from Defending His Honor...and One Time Even Porthos Couldn't Stop Him.
When someone insults Porthos, Aramis reacts – even when Porthos would rather that he leave it alone. Over the years, Porthos learns how to prevent Aramis from coming to his defense, sometimes talking him out of it, sometimes taking a more direct approach. But every time, he appreciates that Aramis is willing to defend him...even if he shouldn't.

No one asked for this but I was just randomly reminded of BBC's most recent adaption of The Musketeers (2014-2016) and the single most brilliant line in anything ever ("I'll punch you so hard you'll beg me to kick you") and it got me thinking, how come no one has suggested The Musketeers BC AU? You had one job, guys... 😤
So let's start with the easy one: Tommi as Porthos, local strongman, looks like could kill you, is actually a cinnamon roll
Equally obvious is Joel as Athos, permanent sour face, hates everything and everyone, or at least he wants everyone to think so. The wine bottle on a Friday night is enough of a lover for him, thank you very much
And speaking of lovers, I present you Joonas as Aramis, the romantic who just can't keep it in his pants. How many times has the country almost had to start a war, just because Joonas had given in to love and lust 🙄 (according to Joel, he's fucked half of France)
Olli as young and charming D'Artagnan (Aleksi could also work, but he's needed elsewhere lol)
Niko as Queen Anne 💅 #bowdownbitches
(Sorry but Louis XIII is not around in this AU. He died of turberculosis (true story!). Yes yes, very sad. Anyway!)
And finally, Aleksi as Milady de Winter, the on/off lover of Athos!Joel
(Poor Santeri can make an appearance as long-suffering Captain Treville)
Plotlines include:
1) Athos!Joel drowning his sorrows at the pub until a familiar shape appears at the door frame and lures him to the chambers upstairs. Joel hates himself the next morning, for Milady!Aleksi is gone and fooled him again, but maybe Aleksi is just as miserable as Joel is?
2) Intense flirting between Aramis!Joonas and Anne!Niko who, completely by coincidence, keep running into each other in the strangest of circumstances. Joonas doesn't think it's safe for Niko to be wandering outside the palace in disguise without a guard to visit the poor, but Niko is not the kind of queen to whom you can tell what to do. And that's only one of the reasons why Joonas adores him so 💘
(Later they'll be caught by who else but Joel who absolutely loses his mind for Joonas sleeping with the actual fucking queen of France, of all people 😐)
3) Porthos!Tommi teaches D'Artagnan!Olli how to more effortlessly handle his weapons. No, there's no need for Tommi to be standing that close to Olli, but he loves the way Olli blushes when he does. Also featured: playful wrestling matches, because the boy's gotta learn how to defend himself!
They all may drive each other crazy on a daily basis, but in the end it's always all for one and one for all 🖤

Today we celebrate the Holy Theonas, Archbishop of Thessaloniki. Saint Theonas was a disciple of the Holy New Martyr James of Kastoria. He was probably born in the second half of the 15th century on the island of Lesbos. We know nothing about his life before he went to Mount Athos. At first he lived as an ascetic in the Pantokratoros Monastery, where he was ordained a Priest. Then he joined the brotherhood of the Skete of the Honorable Forerunner. In around 1518 the brotherhood fled to the interior of Mount Athos, and after a vision to the Elder they departed Mount Athos. According to the prophecy of Saint Iakovos, after his death Theonas and the brotherhood in Dervekista left the monastery the following year and went to Mount Athos, to Simonopetra Monastery. In 1522 the brotherhood left Simonopetra with the relics of the New Martyrs and came to the outskirts of Thessaloniki. They settled in the Monastery of Saint Anastasia the Pharmakolytria. Saint Theonas was abbot of the Monastery of Saint Anastasia, according to various sources, until 1535. His ascent to the hierarchical throne of Thessaloniki must have taken place around 1535, because the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki was Joasaph until 1535, and in a document from 1538 Saint Theonas is referred to as the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki. The sacred relic of Saint Theonas, immediately after his repose, was translated in a miraculous way to the Monastery of Saint Anastasia. In 1821 it was brought to Skopelos, and from there to Esphigmenou Monastery at Mount Athos, and then was again brought to the Monastery of Saint Anastasia, where it is reverently kept today and has been preserved incorrupt. His feast day is celebrated on April 4th, but is kept in the Monastery of Saint Anastasia on the Fourth Sunday of Great Lent. May he intercede for us always + Source: https://www.johnsanidopoulos.com/2016/04/saint-theonas-archbishop-of.html?m=1 (at Thessaloniki, Greece) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb9AiXFh83q/?utm_medium=tumblr
