first time i heard of them: YouTube recommended, summer 2018!

when i became a fan: So, Red Velvet definitely crept up on me... probably began watching the non-music related content late 2019-ish!

favorite (and least favorite) title track: Favorite is tied between Psycho and Power Up, least favorite is probably Zimzalabim (I adore the MV, but musically, I do not have the mental capacity to listen to it for pleasure ngl, but I appreciate the talent/thought that went into it!)

favorite (and least favorite) b-side: I JUST, 100000% is my favorite! It’s what got me really into Red Velvet’s music! And I can’t think of one I hate, so no least fav...

favorite (and least favorite) mv: Favorite MV is Bad Boy for styling, least favorite is maybe Umpah Umpah? Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t as memorable as their others, to me.

favorite (and least favorite) album: Favorite is ReVe Festival, least favorite is Russian Roulette for its lack of any personal favs in it

a concept i wished they’d try: Tbh, their whole concept is their versatility, so this is a group I’m really content with as is! ^^

what i like most about them: Vocals. And Seulgi. Tbh, though, I think they have some of the most impressive vocals in the industry, and Seulgi is my ult bias for ggs! So, yeah :D

first time i heard of them: I honestly don’t know! I remember I was around for No Air, so before winter of 2018

when i became a fan: The Boyz may have happened fall 2018, maybe?

favorite (and least favorite) title track: Favorite is Bloom Bloom, easily! Least favorite is Boy—their others just eclipse it, imo

favorite (and least favorite) b-side: Favorites are Butterfly/Just U/Daydream/Walkin In Time (I refuse to choose from these). Least favorite is? *shrugs* First half of Reveal was kind of bland to me? So one of those maybe

favorite (and least favorite) mv: Favorite MV is No Air, bc GORGEOUS! Least favorite is Clover bc I always forget it exists haha

favorite (and least favorite) album: Favorite album is The Only bc it has no skips whatsoever! Least favorite is The Start bc the songs are really hit or miss for me

a concept i wished they’d try: After their Road to Kingdom stages, I need a full comeback telling an AU story. I don’t care what kind, just something that deep and epic!

what i like most about them: Performance. They are Seventeen’s successors, in my mind, when it comes down to overall group charisma and in-sync dancing in performances.

first impressions: I LOVE THE VIBES OF THIS SONG!!! Jazzy rnb, slightly drawl-y raps, Bitsaeon’s voice!!! This is nice!

who stuck out to me (ex. the member with _ hair, etc.) Narachan looks like Tag from Golcha, but his voice is so unique—it was MADE for the jazzy concept!

if i’ll watch more of them or not: So, I’ve seen their MV Rock, Paper, Scissors and was less impressed, but this was a great concept for them! I’m definitely interested! (Thanks for putting them back on my radar, Anna! ^^)

So, I don’t have a crush at the moment?? SO. BOO SEUNGKWAN Y’ALL!!!!!!!!!!! Things I find attractive about him, in no particular order:

His voice?? Is literally the most beautiful, softly rich voice? He adds so much to what ever he’s singing, it’s both natural gift and crazy devotion to his art. And to expressing his emotions!

His emotions!! I feel like we all have running jokes about how emotional he gets/strongly he reacts, but I really admire this about him and kind of relate to it.

His heart!! When I first saw compilations of how much Seventeen cares for each other, I (a Jihoon stan at that time) really couldn’t help but fall for Seungkwan with that tucked away in my head.

His passion—for every. Single. Thing. He. Does!!! Whether it’s his singing, his dancing, his variety, he really throws himself into everything he does! I think that’s really, really admirable in a human.

Of course, his appearance. I just love his features, sue me. But the fact that he’s gorgeous in that more down-to-earth way? He’s not untouchable the way some visuals are, but that’s why I think he’s extra attractive.

I’ll end it there!! I know I typed way too much, but I don’t think I’ve done a Boo Seungkwan appreciation post here yet! So thank you so much for letting me ramble, Binu!!!

first time i heard of them: I was googling something like “good kpop groups to know” bc I wanted to stan a group besides BTS (summer 2018) and found SVT through an article!

when i became a fan: Right after Oh My came out!

favorite (and least favorite) title track: This hurts my soul a little, but I’ll try... Favorite is either Oh My or Don’t Wanna Cry, but shoutout to Home for owning my heart in a special way... It was my first comeback, a personal favorite song, AND the first title I could semi-coherently sing along to! Least favorite is tied between Boom Boom and Mansae. I love them, but musically, I listen to them least of the title tracks, so that’s my reasoning!

favorite (and least favorite) b-side: Kidult/Come to Me/Our Dawn is Hotter than Day/20/My My heal my soul a little every time I hear them. Least favorite is OMG

favorite (and least favorite) mv: Favorite MV is Oh My for the styling, the clouds, and the colors overall. Least favorite MV is probably Getting Closer—but it’s an amazing MV so it hurts me to say that!!

AKSJDHFJKASDJKFHJKDF uHHH, I’M JUST GONNA DUMP A SERIES IDEA THAT’S WAS FLOATING AROUND FOR A WHILE:

Ateez Hunger Games AU! Jongho’s would be a star crossed lovers one, where two Careers dated all the way up the the Games and have to deal with the falling out while trying to survive. Hongjoong’s definitely is him as a stylist, dealing with a PTSD victor!love interest. San’s covers him and his lover successfully running away from the Districts and carving out a life for themselves in the wilderness. Seonghwas had a bit of an age gap, the typical mentor x tribute angst to happy ending. The ideas are there! (And the first 2k of Jongho’s) It would just take so much time 😔

I honestly don’t feel very dissatisfied with much atm?? Although... Ooh! I’ll just overshare something that’s bothered me since I was, like, 10: my desire for attention always clashing with my need to always be both genuine and not a bother. The two?? Shouldn’t be mutually exclusive?? And yet I tend to overthink a lot of things because the second I say something I almost double check myself, like, was that really me? Was it wanted? So, once upon a time, I saw that my dear friend Tiny sent an ask for the game I rbed. After the thoughts of, “I love Tiny!” and “She’s so supportive 🥺” I realized, CRAP. I HAVE TO BE ENGAGING AND THINK OF A GOOD STORY. So, I googled “how to tell an engaging story” and had a moment of self-reflection. Because I’m a frickin writer. I facepalmed and decided it was ironic enough to constitute a story. So, tada!! 😂
