don't mind me just coming back from inactivity to say that while the pacing in Kindred was crunchy and I thought the plot was a lil basic I RLY enjoyed the characters and felt they each had their own unique voice and found their interactions with each other well-written and engaging (loved being roasted by my sisters every time I mentioned I had the hots for Kaine LMAO) and tbh I had a great time cuz I feel like great characters can carry a plot but a great plot can't carry sub-par characters

also I named my MC Amaranth and got startled when it was the name of the magic shop lmao

LMAO like if it was any other book besides Endless Summer HELL NO but I'm a huuuuuuuuuge slut for time travel and friendship!! (I've honestly considered getting more time travel theme tattoos like from Back to the Future, Bill & Ted, Best Friends Whenever, etc.) I've also been playing Choices since the beginning so I read ES as it came out over 2 years, so I got a lot more attached to the story and characters than I would if I had binged it.

Aaaand in case my love for the story waned in the future I did decide to choose a design that was more on the generic side! Whenever a rando asks me about it I just say "it's a spaceman" "why?" "cuz I like spacemen" instead of having to be like "hey who's that random cartoon white guy u have a portrait of?" "MY HUSBANDO THAT I'VE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN A TIME LOOP"

I don't mind having only one LI in books but I wish we had the option to not date them like we do in most multi-LI books

Tbh I wouldn't mind if PB made more single-LI books (coming from a player who usually makes out with everyone before you're forced to choose 😂😂), but I hope if they do they make it more plot-heavy (and not make the plot just being horny)

Other visual novels I play have multiple LIs but they have you choose which one you want to romance and then you go on a single-LI story with them (with bonus scenes I'm happy to buy). Not that I want PB to completely adopt this model, but having a single-LI story that is still engrossing without relying only on sexytiems is possible.

I romanced Beckett in The Elementalists so i appreciate a nice enemies -> lovers story but I have no affection for Justin so in the latest Save the Date chapter when he and MC were screaming at each other in the street and then he was like KISS ME I was like THIS IS TOO AGGRO FOR ME 😂😂😂😂
