aurieeeeee i know its a few days late but i didnt know you shipped them until yesterday, so.

I am conflicted about them, actually. On the one hand, they're cute together. Like they're really cute. Lin makes a very good nagging housewife and Banba has deadbeat husband energy--because they really are a married couple--but the two of them make it Fun and Fresh and Funky, so I appreciate them! I think they're cute! They have "I hate my wife (adoring)" energy.

*points to all the times Banba is bitching about mentaiko and Lin is bitching about toilet paper* Also, they're hilarious.

But on the other hand, they also have big sibling energy?? And Lin canonically acknowledges that he and Banba basically are family, even though they're not related by blood, and he's also said he's not gay on at least one occasion. Who knows about Banba ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

I just think that those two should be together. They should not be separated. And I also think that the way they care about each other exists in a gray area that other people might not necessarily understand, but makes sense to them, and those are the type of partnerships I love most in fiction (like, it's the only flavor of soukoku I enjoy).

Honestly, Banba has too much chemistry with male characters to be a hetero. Because while LinBanba is soft and cute and ;-; at all times, he's also got his gay rivalry with Saruwatari? Saruwatari, who has toxic gay chemistry with Nitta? Those two have One Night Stand While Drunk and Trying to One-Up Each Other energy.

But really, my favorite HTR gays are the canon ones. Jiro and Mar-san are like...gay guys on opposite sides of the vibes spectrum while both managing to be gnc as fuck. Mar-san's light novel is also great because he spends it flirting with the international investigator he's forced to work with. So much flirting, and in the worst possible situations, which drives the other guy insane. Like, Mar-san basically was sposed to torture him, but he lets the guy go? And the guy is all ??? Why did you free me?? Why're you helping me escape??

And Mar-san is all *wink* your face is my type :)

He gets called a slur for it but you know what IT'S A GOOD NOVEL REGARDLESS BECAUSE BANBA BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF A GUY FOR CALLING MAR-SAN SLURS
