Not only that, but depending on the wound and the organ, his lightning can also turn off his nerves because of the sudden adrenaline rush, so he can't feel the said pain unless the adrenaline wears off.

If he were to get beaten to death, he can't die unless his entire body bleeds to multiple organ failures and he won't feel the pain of it until he loses the adrenaline rush he's in due to the said blood loss.

Jang Dong-Soo had had many near-death experiences in his life. But somehow, he had a knack for always escaping dangerous situations relatively unscathed. Yes, his body was littered with scars, but those wounds had always been superficial. This time though, he was sure he wasn’t making it out alive.

There was so much blood; it oozed through the gaping wound under his ribcage, flooding through his fingers as he tried desperately to staunch the flow. The concrete beneath his feet was stained red, the very essence of his life seeping into the ground below him. His breath was ragged, coming in deep, wheezing gasps as he staggered through the parking lot. He wasn’t supposed to die like this, not like some dog in a dark alleyway. He had always imagined he’d go out in a blaze of fire alongside his men, not terrified and alone. He sank to his knees, his vision blurring as his life slowly drained from him. As his body hit the asphalt, Dong-Soo didn’t think of his regrets, or his greatest achievements. He didn’t think of his family, or his colleagues, or even the man who had stabbed him. There was only one person he cared for in this godforsaken world. As his eyes closed, and he waited for death to claim him, the only thing he thought of was you.

It was a quiet night in the emergency department, something that only came once in a blue moon. Usually, you loved the quiet, but tonight you felt restless. You swung back and forth on your office chair as you sorted through paperwork, sighing loudly every now and again as you watched the time tick by almost painfully slowly. It had been months since you’d seen your mysterious gangster, and in an odd way, you were missing him. The last time you’d seen him was the day he’d helped you with your shopping, fleeing your apartment almost as quickly as he’d entered it. You hadn’t stopped wondering why he’d left, whether it was something you’d done. He occupied your every waking thought, and you were frustrated with yourself for allowing a man to consume you the way Dong-Soo had. You couldn’t see their face, any features covered by the oxygen mask and neck brace. There was so much blood, a dangerous amount, and at first glance you weren’t entirely confident your team could help. But then you saw the tattoos, the intricate black ink covering every inch of the patient’s chest, torso and arms. You knew those inkings by heart, had imagined tracing them with your fingers countless times. “Jang Dong-Soo,” you breathed, your blood running cold as you stared at his lifeless body. This giant of a man seemed so small on the stretcher, his powerful frame somehow weak and frail. You forced yourself to remove your feelings from the equation, blocking out anything from your brain that wasn’t directly related to saving your patient.

You and your team worked tirelessly over the next few hours, operating on Dong-Soo to close the veins and organs ruptured by the knife. His heart stopped for 90 seconds, and that short time felt like an eternity as you charged up the defibrillator to save his life. You transferred several packets of donor blood into his system, fighting tears and exhaustion as you battled through the night. Somehow, Dong-Soo clung to life, his body hooked up to a ventilator as you waited to see if the surgery was a success. You hadn’t been home since he arrived on your ward, stealing a few hours sleep here and there in between surveying his vitals. You’d come so close to losing him, had watched as his blood drained from him body, and the heartbreak had floored you. He could smell the familiar scent of your perfume and wondered for a second if he’d somehow reached heaven. “Jang Dong-Soo?” Your voice was like silk, the sound of his name rolling off your tongue the sweetest sound in the world. He forced his eyes open, the pain as the light hit his pupils making him wince. His vision was blurred, but slowly you came into focus. Your eyes were filled with concern, your lips pursed as you checked his vitals. You looked exhausted, the bags under your eyes a deep purple. He wondered if you’d been the one to save him, whether you’d brought him back from the brink of death.

“How are you feeling?” you asked, your fingers gently caressing his scarred cheek. Your touch sent a wave of pleasure through his body, a welcome break from the dull ache in his ribs. “Sore,” he grunted, bringing his hand up to meet yours. You sat there in the silence of his hospital room, your fingers entwined as you both tried to find the right words. “I thought I’d never seen you again.” “I was so worried we’d lose you.” You both spoke at the same time, both so desperate to tell the other how you felt.

“Did you save me?” Dong-Soo finally asked. “It was a team of us,” you smiled. “You’re one tough cookie, I’ll give you that.” He smiled, his grip tightening on your hand. He didn’t want you to go yet, didn’t want to be left alone in the too bright hospital room. “Will you stay with me?” he asked, fear flickering across his eyes. “Just for a while?” “Of course” you whispered, “I’m not going anywhere.”

You sat with Dong-Soo as he drifted into an uneasy sleep, your hand still clutched in his as he fought his nightmares. You wiped his brow, soothed him as he tossed and turned. You wouldn’t leave this hospital until you were sure he was going to be ok. You would stay by his side for as long as it took.

Jang Dong-Soo may have been a dangerous man, but he’d captured your heart in a way no one ever had before. You’d almost lost him once; you were going to make sure you never lost him again.

oh followup there was a discord server called the sleepover server (iirc, it's been a while) that eventually gained its own (rather large (in fact the amount of people that joined were more than the server could handle at once)) server called sleepover smp that actually has its own fandom wiki (small as it is)

Defibrillation

Defibrillation involves delivering an electric shock to the heart to restore a normal rhythm. As it can often take some time to get a defibrillator, you should start with CPR first and then use a defibrillator when it is available. Most AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) will advise you when to continue with CPR after a shock has been delivered.

Most public places will have a defibrillator available — schools, airports etc are required by law to have them, and most high streets have one close by. If there are bystanders around you, ask them to fetch the defibrillator while you begin CPR. 

When the defibrillator arrives, you do not need to remove jewellery. Doing so delays the shock and can lead to treatment not being given in time. However, bras should be removed because the pads of the defibrillator need to be in full contact with skin. You can, however, lay the bra back over the person after the pads have been placed to preserve dignity. 

To use a defibrillator/AED:

Turn on the defibrillator and follow the voice prompts for instructions. 

Apply the pads as instructed: place one on the upper right chest below the collarbone and the other on the lower left side below the armpit. Use the provided diagrams/instructions for guidance.

Let the AED carry out the analysis — ensure that no one is touching the casualty while this is happening. 

Deliver the shock if advised (on a semi-automatic defib) or (on a fully automatic defib) let the shock be carried out itself. 

Resume CPR — perform compressions immediately, until the AED reassesses or until the ambulance arrives. 

CPR and defibrillation are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they work together as part of the “Chain of Survival”, which aims to maximise survival changes. This sequence includes:

Early recognition and calling for help.

Immediately starting CPR.

Defibrillation as soon as possible to reset the heart’s rhythm.

Further care by emergency responders.

CPR keeps oxygenated blood flowing around the body, to the brain especially, while the AED assesses and delivers a shock to restart the heart’s rhythm. The sooner these are performed, the more likely the casualty is to survive and the lower the chances of complications.

Not sharp — not screaming — just... wrong.

He studied her. Looking for something off.

But she had the right badge. The right walk. The right everything.

And she didn’t flinch under his stare. Just waited patiently, pen poised against her clipboard.

Beau’s jaw clenched.

He looked back at you, your face peaceful in a way that didn’t sit right anymore.

His hand hovered near yours for a second longer. He didn’t want to leave. Every part of him said not to.

But Rogers had called twice — said it was urgent.

Five minutes.

He drew in a breath he didn’t believe in.

"I’ll be right outside," he said, voice rough.

He kissed your forehead — soft, lingering — and whispered, “Don’t go anywhere, sweetheart.”

Then, reluctantly, he stepped into the hallway and closed the door behind him.

He found Rogers at the nurses' station, hunched over a map with two deputies, deep in discussion.

"We’re setting up another perimeter," Rogers was saying grimly. "Hospitals, bus stations, airports. If she’s on the move, we’ll catch her."

Beau nodded automatically, but he wasn’t listening.

The knot in his stomach had doubled. Something was off.

He couldn’t explain it. He just felt it. The air behind him felt thinner somehow. The silence too loud.

He turned, glancing down the hallway toward your room.

He couldn’t shake it.

Something was wrong. Something was waiting.

And whatever it was, it had already started.

The first alarm shattered the quiet like a gunshot.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

Beau’s blood turned to ice.

He spun toward your room — sprinting — his heart slamming against his ribs hard enough to hurt.

"NURSE!" someone barked over the intercom.

"CODE BLUE — ROOM 313!"

Your room.

He crashed through the door.

And everything exploded.

You were flat on the bed, your gown erratically pulled up to expose your chest — where the defibrillator pads were already placed.

The wires from the monitors were tangled at your side. The sheets were a mess, wrinkled and tangled from the violent movements.

A doctor was leaning over you, hands pumping hard against your chest in rapid, steady compressions.

"NO PULSE!" They shouted, their face a mask of desperation. "Charging defibrillator!" "Get the crash cart!"

Beau stumbled back into the corner, his chest heaving, hands shaking.

His heart was lodged in his throat, his stomach twisted in knots so tight it burned.

"What —" His voice cracked. "What happened?"

He turned to the nearest nurse, grabbing her arm — not rough, but desperate. His voice was barely holding together. "She was fine," he choked. "She was breathing. I — I just stepped out for five miniutes, what happened!?"

The nurse looked at him, startled by the rawness in his face.

"I... I don't know Sir," she spoke softly, shaking her head. "We just got the Code Blue — she was already crashing when we got here..."

Beau looked around, heart pounding, brain scrambling for something to make it make sense. He grabbed her arm again, hands shaking.

"There was a nurse.. she said she was checking vitals. Where is she?"

The nurse stared at him blankly. "What nurse?"

He blinked, breath catching.

"The woman. Scrubs, mask, clipboard. She was just in here." He was practically pleading now. "You had to have seen her. Please —"

"Sir, there aren't any other nurses on shift for this floor," she replied, her voice quiet with confusion. "Only us, and we just arrived."

Beau stepped back, stumbling slightly as if the floor had shifted under him.

His breath caught. His knees threatened to give. The nurse’s words rang in his ears, warped and far away. "There aren’t any other nurses on shift tonight..."

The room blurred. His heartbeat drowned everything.

And then it hit.

Like a whisper behind his eyes. Like memory bleeding through trauma.

Those eyes.

Behind the mask. Too calm. Too familiar.

The way she smiled. The strange tilt of her head. The way she said, “Just need to check vitals,” like it was a private joke he wasn’t in on.

His breath hitched.

A flash — her eyes from years ago, laughing at him through mascara-smudged tears. Another flash — her eyes at the courthouse, glassy and furious.

Then…

That same look.

In that room. Tonight.

Sharron.

She’d been here.

She was here. She touched you. She did this.

Beau staggered back, hand pressed to his mouth, like he was going to be sick. His vision swam.

Tears blurred the room into shapes and color and motion, but your still body was the only thing he could see.

“No, no, no…” he whispered.

Not her. Not again.

He’d let her in. He’d left you with her.

And now you were dying.

"Find her!" Beau bellowed, turning toward Rogers. "Lock this floor down! Nobody in or out!"

He turned back just in time to see the doctor slam the paddles onto your chest again.

"Clear!"

Your body jerked violently — once —then collapsed back onto the bed.

Beau pressed a fist to his mouth, choking on a sob.

"Stay with me, darlin'," he whispered brokenly. "Don't you dare leave me now."

The machines kept screaming. The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead.

And somewhere, just beyond the walls of that little hospital room —the devil was smiling.

You view on cameras a jeep with a stretcher and several soldiers, including that lady from earlier as well as Five and what looks like the Marines JCS pulling into the Tank, while another soldier wheels an Mk3 autodoc out of the Chinook along with them.

They rush into the main annex and send Muggy spinning like a top as the corpsmen and the lady (what's her name? Sarah?) push the dusty as hell bed from the bedroom out and usher the form of what looks like Vulpes onto the bed. Five starts up the Mk3 autodoc (failing to notice the perfectly good Sink autodoc there,) as it begins to diagnose him and ejects a small pod to start dialysis.

The corpsmen remove the leads for the defibrillator, hang the IV bag onto the autodoc and watch as the autodoc automatically begins CPR and defibrillation.

*Ewww! Dala! The lobotomites are in the Sink again! They’re going to get their germs and skin oils all over Muggy! O, the horror! Stop them! Don’t let them get their grimey meat hands all over everything!*

[Dala stares at them with longing in their eyes.]

*Stop looking at them like that, Dala! You’re ogling them right in front of me! It’s grooooosss!*

Hey you are doing a great job keep it going!

Something that I was wondering is if you can make an option called auto-mode

Basically the function is the players can press a key from the keyboard or the option button and makes the 30 compressions 2 mouth to mouth and shocks

And the other one can be programmed by the user like he can put the amount of chest compressions mouth to mouth and shocks or do only chest compressions, only mouth to mouth and only defibrillators

I don't know how complex it is but it can be really awesome

That's a good idea. I'm working on adding a thumper mode next, and I already planned to make that work automatically. If that works well, I can try implementing an auto mode. Maybe it would be cool if people could configure their own auto preset that decides which animations to play in which order. That would be a lot more work, but it could be a useful feature.
