[zaunrising]

A short writing concerning Silco of “zaunrising” fame, and his life post Arcane.

Nearly having died at the infamous Table due to his adopted daughter reacting out of reflex and shooting him, Silco spent a relatively short time recovering. His deputy, Sevika, took on a larger share of his duties while he was healing and kept him informed of what was happening in Zaun. Rumors spread about Silco’s absence, ranging from the possibility that the aging Chem-Baron was dead, to him having left Zaun to go on vacation, to him retiring, to him being too busy working to meet with anyone, to who knows what else. One thing was for sure: Sevika was keeping The Lanes in check, and the Shimmer selling. Another thing was that the other Chem-Barons were looking entirely too closely as they tried to decide if Silco had slipped up enough to finally give them an opportunity they could take advantage of.

Upon recovering, Silco immediately returned to work, ensuring that all knew he was in fact still alive and still every bit the Chem-Baron who held The Lanes. He also looked for Jinx, wanting to bring his daughter home. His attempt to reach out to Jinx would, for the time being, be futile, as it turned out Jinx fully believed he was dead and that his presence was simply a very strangely real-seeming hallucination. Making a private oath that he would return at a later date to try to convince Jinx of the truth once more, Silco had returned to his work, expecting to see Jinx once more before too much time passed. That expectation would be shattered.

Before he could reach out to Jinx again, a plague found its way to Zaun sweeping through its streets. The time during that plague was both a peaceful time for Silco as the habitual violence of his life faded while disease ran rampant, and a period filled with more death than he’d ever seen before at one time. It was a time that saw him gradually weakened as he devoted resources to aiding Zaun while other Chem-Barons hoarded their money and power. He was weakened, but for as much as he lost, Silco also gained as a particular woman walked into his life during that time. Irisa Avéne (an OC owned by the mun behind @saviourofzaun ).

A strong mage who proved her value by saving a child’s life the first time Silco met her, Irisa would gradually become one of the very few people Silco trusted or cared about. At first simply a valued employee who he put in charge of a medical clinic, Irisa became far more over time, and in fact eventually moved into Silco’s home and bedroom. Alas, the road that led to the two living together had not been in any way easy for the woman; that, however, is a story for another day.

The plague has since faded, and now a new phase in Silco’s life begins. A phase in which he can feel countless eyes upon him and must prepare to fend off attempts from Chem-Barons and gangers to take what is his. A time in which he must find a way both to keep Irisa by his side and also to once more find Jinx, and this time succeed in bringing his daughter home. His eyes opening to the truth that few any more care about The Cause, and that Zaun has well and truly become an enterprise. Silco is tired, of course, and feels as though his work is never ending, even as he starts to wonder if there is any point to the work. At the same time, Silco is finding himself oddly invigorated as he realizes Zaun is returning to normal and that he will be challenged once more. Challenges, after all, give him an opportunity for reprisal and to take more than he ever has before. Attacks on him and upon what is his create openings for him to take advantage of, so long as he doesn’t lose. Loosing, incidentally, is a concept Silco refuses to even consider for one simple reason. If he lost, he’d end up dead, and that was something he simply would not allow to happen. He had a daughter to care for, after all, and Irisa in his life now as well, and regardless of how others felt, The Cause still moved forward. A Free Nation of Zaun still a dream burning within Silco, and even with his doubts and realizations rising up within him, Silco could not imagine that dream fading.

One way or another, Silco will continue moving forward.

A few random notes about Silco.

He no longer covers his scar with makeup.

He now carries a pistol with him.

He is currently learning Ionian.

Even if he doesn’t verbally admit it, he is in a relationship with Irisa Avéne and woe betide any who disrespects or hurts her. The two have been seen together, With Irisa visiting The Last Drop as well as going home to the same house as Silco it is not hard for someone to figure out that something is going on between the two.

Silco has forgiven Jinx and wants her to return home, while understanding that he is alive more than anything else. He does, however, now have a panic response to hearing her minigun, Pow-pow, going off unexpectedly, which causes him to freeze up.

Soap tends to be drying to the skin leaving it feeling tight.

I got the tube to Oxford Circus and walked to Selfridges to have a browse around some high-end concessions. I picked up the new English Pear & Sweet Pea fragrance from Jo Malone (fresh and gorgeous), a couple of pieces from R.E.M Beauty, and an eye cream by Avéne from their pharmacy. I stopped for lunch in YO! Sushi then headed to Carnaby Street to visit one of my favourite stores - Third Man Records on Marshall Street. I MUST visit the Blue Basement every time and pick up a few singles. After this, I headed home.

I have the similar issues with the skin on my face! it's so frustrating honestly. I don't have any serum recommendations, but I've had some luck with the brand Avene. Their Antirougeurs for redness and their moisturerizer Tolerance Extreme and their cleanser Cleanance work for me. The cleanser I have to rinse off though, despite it saying you don't have to, otherwise my skin gets irritated and red.

I FEEL YOU! I have one face wash which is otherwise super good but I have to wash my face after it with another product or otherwise my skin gets irritated and burning - even when the products is supposed to be gently and many had reviewed it as "This worked for my sensitive skin!" (I guess I'm a super sensitive then?)

I can get Avéne's products from Germany so I can give them a try :3

I recommend you the Cosrx's Advanced Snail 96 Mucin. It's 96% natural snail mucin and so far it has been good for me. It keeps skin super moisturized and lasts forever as 2 drops is enough. It's a Korean product.

Other one that has worked really well is Muji's Moisturize Face Soap (for sensitive skin). It has to be this moisturize one in white tube. There's a white similar bottle which is NOT moisturize one and that irritated my skin. This one I can use the best without any issues and I'm so happy! The price is very reasonable and it lasts for a small eternity as just a tiny, tiny drop is enough to clean your whole face. You can get Muji's products only from Muji but they've got stores and online stores around the world (though at the moment it's a bit hard to get these as there have been shipment issues from Japan for the past 2,5 years).

For moisturizing, I've been successfully using Muji's Light Toning Water - Moisture. It's for a sensitive skin, too, and lasts for long. It moisturizes so well that you might not need anything else. If you use this together with the Cosrx's moisturizer, it's all you need.

Surprisingly enough, British Greighton's Salicylic Acid Foaming Clay Cleanser has worked for me! I tried at my sister's and I was more or less shocked when it didn't cause any issues. I wonder if the lactic acid in it helps?

These are the current products I can use.

And that almost 200€ Lancôme's serum which free tester I will cherish as long as I possibly can.

Lipstick’s Candy covers Grazia Korea’s July issue

Lipstick’s Candy began the first half of her year crafting a rising profile as a CF and endorsement model for brands like Swarovski, Buckaroo Jeans, Dior Beauty, Head Korea, Kakao Games, and Avéne, in addition to making her debut as a solo artist separate from her group with the release of her solo mini-album Sugar Rush. As summer begins, the idol has become this month’s cover model for Grazia Korea.

Candy appears in her cover shoot and spread in fresh and summery styling. In her interview with the magazine, Candy touched on the topic of her ideal type, stating: “My ideal type hasn’t changed over the years, it just got upgraded. I like someone who is good at something. I like tall guys with charming smiles with a warm and caring personality that I can depend on.”

The topic changed from romance to career, and Candy discussed her plans for the rest of the year: “I’ve been blessed with so many things and opportunities at the beginning of 2019 which I’m grateful for. Lipstick will be going on a tour this year and I’m working on a couple of projects that everyone can look forward to.”
