Backstory

Andy was born into a werewolf pack in upstate New York, to a werewolf mother and human father. He grew up with the pack, until he was 6 years old and the pack was attacked by a group of other supernatural creatures. When Maeve and Gideon Murphy investigated the incident, they found Andy, orphaned, the only one left alive. The couple decided to take him in and raise him at Waystation 001 on the East Coast in [City Name].

He quickly bonded with Devon, their son, who was only a year older than he was. He excelled academically, and when he was placed in public school, they put him a grade above his age because of his intelligence, even though he'd never been to a formal public school with his pack. That meant that he and Devon were in the same grade, making them even more inseparable.

His intelligence, general awkwardness, and smaller stature often make him the target of bullies. He struggles with identity as a hybrid, especially since he doesn't have the opportunity to interact with a lot of werewolves (who tend to stay away from the Waystations, preferring to take care of their own in packs). He's stronger, faster, and full of instincts that the other kids at school don't have, but he holds back because he worries he might lose control if he fights back against his bullies.

He was hit just as hard by the death of Gideon Murphy, whom he saw as a father figure and as someone who was helping him work emotionally through his hybrid identity confusion. However, he feels like he can't express this because he was Devon's biological father, and therefore it must be much worse for Devon than it is for him. He struggles with being able to express emotion or thoughts about Gideon or remember him around any of the Murphy family.

Recently, he's been struggling to come to terms with his growing feelings for Devon, which he firstly doesn't understand and secondly feels like he can never reveal. He's happy to help Devon research Avalon and keep it a secret from Maeve, but when it comes to physically going to check things out, he's very reluctant. In his mind, there's nothing wrong with a little research, but when it starts to get real, he tries to talk Devon out of investigating further, which leads to tension between them.

i think it would perhaps depend on the context, if you mean like a gameshow like The Newlywed Game, or if its just a fun little party game with friends. i think all of them would play a fun little party game w friends, although actual amounts of participation would vary. im gonna answer w it being a party game

(RCD!)Thomas and Avalon would only participate if it was a small gathering with people they like. they both know each other insanely well due to having been............. fairly codependant with each other the first time they had a relationship (theyve both acknowledged that the way their relationship was was pretty unhealthy & are doing what they can to correct this going foreward). they'd be able to answer questions about each other with insane levels of accuracy, only made more impressive by the fact that even with close friends they tend to be very private people.

either that or theyve silently agreed to make shit up about each other, which no one has a way of confirming bc again. very private people. but even then the thing about them knowing each other inside and out is still accurate

Baxter and Ethan would have little to no interest in participating, but Raf would think that it's fun. i don't think that the question with them would be "who knows each other better" so much as "who knows the most of what kind of information". Raf knows a lot of personal preferences, favorites and likes&dislikes, stuff like that. Ethan knows things like medical history & all that other stuff that would get filled out in one of those forms you get before an appointment (thats his way of showing love tbh. knowing specifically which perscriptions you have and when they need to be refilled). and Baxter...... well. they know a lot of things about their boyfriends. seemingly none of it connected. they'll remember an offhanded comment said one afternoon about a thing one of them likes and it'll make for them finding the absolutely perfect birthday gift three, four, five years down the line. but. they do not remember what date the birthday is on. (theyre trying, okay?! dates are difficult for them. they prefer counting the days to/from a thing)

Simon, Wes, and Ezra are kind of a mix of the above. theyve all known each other for a while so they all know a lot of stuff, and theyre all better at knowing specific things about each other. but who's to say theyre not just lying about their answers for fun? it's a lot more obvious when theyre doing that though, Simon and Ezra have pretty terrible poker faces, and Wes isn't far to crack himself when his partners are laughing like that

as for Reigan and Tobias. well. you know that episode of Parks and Recreation where Tom is testing out his cool new not-The-Newlywed-Game game and he has Andy and April as one couple and Donna and Jerry as the other?

Avalon Show Bible: Series Synopsis

Short Synopsis

After being banished from the utopian realm of Avalon, Maeve, an immortal, has spent the last century building Waystations across the globe. Waystations are safe havens for supernatural outcasts hiding on Earth; some were banished like Maeve, while others were born on Earth. Now settled at Waystation 001, located in the fictional East Coast city of [city name], her son Devon juggles high school, weekend monster hunting trips, and the overwhelming legacy of his mother, who refuses to answer any question he has about the mysterious realm of Avalon. Tension between them continues to rise as he does his own research and becomes more obsessed with Avalon, feeling like someone from the other side is trying to reach out to him through his dreams.

Long Synopsis

Avalon follows sixteen-year-old Devon Murphy, a sarcastic and restless high school junior who lives at Waystation 001, which most people in the city think is a shelter or rehab facility. In reality, it's one of many such "Waystations" throughout the globe; they are indeed shelters, but for supernatural creatures, cryptids, and magical misfits who need help surviving in a world that's stopped believing in them. The Waystations were built by his mother, Maeve, an immortal, enigmatic, and protective woman with a secret past. The Waystations have been her life's work and passion project for the past century, after she was cast out of Avalon, a hidden utopia tied to Celtic myth that exists, unseen, alongside Earth.

Devon's life is a mixture of mundane and magical. He attends high school, dodging his studies and bullies by day, and helping his mother hunt or shelter monsters by night. Also living at the Waystation are Andy, his genius best friend and werewolf hybrid, and Natalie, his sharp-tongued and "shoot first" older sister, who works full-time for the Waystation. Although Devon has grown up surrounded by magic and the mysterious, his mother has always downplayed their family's connection to Avalon. He has questions that she won't answer, and he's not satisfied by half-truths anymore.

The series largely follows a "monster-of-the-week" format, with a variety of folklore-inspired creatures like werewolves, kelpies, sirens, and banshees that come through the Waystation system or cause trouble in the city. Some episodes center on high school and Devon's academic life, highlighting his growing sense of alienation and "otherness". Some episodes center on the Waystation, his chores, and "field trips". These creature encounters force Devon to focus on his identity, drawing out his empathy, fears, and his longing for a purpose.

In the first season, Devon begins secretly researching Avalon, a world his mother wants to convince him isn't relevant to him. Along the way, we learn that Maeve is not fully human; she's half Aos Si, the ruling class of Avalon, and that Devon himself may carry a dormant power. The rift between them grows as she continues to mislead him and make decisions he disagrees with or doesn't understand. Devon begins to have vivid dreams that may not be dreams at all, of someone from Avalon calling out to him, furthering his obsession.

The first season ends with Devon uncovering a buried truth about Maeve's exile, and his dreamwalking, which he previously dismissed as nightmares, allows him to see a glimpse into Avalon itself, half utopia and half in ruin. The episode ends with Devon facing the first major choice he must make on his own: does he double down on the life his mother has created for him or risk everything to reach the one she's trying to forget?
