This drawing has been coming for a long time! I really wanted to express the pride that is placed upon Neteyam, being the firstborn of Jake Sully and overwhelming guilt/self-hate Spider feels by being the firstborn of Miles Quaritch. For one, the title is a blessing, for the other, it is a curse, signified further in the alternative version of the artwork, where Socorro is quite literally drenched in blood that his father had spilled.

So after the events of Avatar 2 - Ronal & Tonowari realise the Jake and Netyri's abhorrent parenting to Spider and decide to take him in.

If yah don't know I got an AU in my head where Spider was taken by the RDA and was forced to assimilate, which meant destroying any reminders of the Na'vi and their culture. Took his braids, his paint, his identity.

Tsyreia loves him fiercely for his loyalty and good heart. Ao'nung sees Spider's strength through his scars, he haunted by Spider's kidnapping and vows to protect him always.
