Axel Lindahl (July 27, 1841 - 1906) was a Swedish photographer who traveled extensively in Norway, documenting new technological progress in the 1880s. Often his work shows nature and construction co-habiting uneasily. He also often positioned local people in the foreground of such photographs.

That however, is not the case with this photo of Bandakkanalen, Vrangfos in Telemark, Norway, ca. 1880-90.
