Sound advice for internet users

trannytrolldad asked: When creating a username for a forum/website, please avoid putting the word 'goth' or 'gothic' in it. Its as unoriginal as adding 666 in an attempt to be edgy. It comes across as you trying to convince the world you are goth by name alone and are insecure about your legitimacy. Goths don't need to advertise so blatantly. I have found about 90% of the time it is used by people who have no idea about goth anyway. Having 'goth' in your username makes it hard for anyone to take you seriously.

Another one of mine.

I dunno... I also think the word raven (alone or with something) has been done to death too. I know 2 irl plus many usernames online. Vampire stuff is done to death too.

On the topic of people choosing wanky names for themselves I can't say I'm a fan. A DJing/artist name is fair enough but a lot of people do it who don't do anything like that.

In my case Aytakk has been my online name for years. I started using it around 1998. Obviously its a corruption of the word 'attack'. So it made sense to adopt it as my DJing name too (one of them - I also DJ as DJ Jelly but thats a Tranny TrollDad story).

The funny thing is some people know me as Aytakk because they met me online or as a DJ where at Neko Nation (where DJ Jelly mostly DJs) they call me Jelly. Though some still call me Joe or Joseph. I don't really care which people use.

If I had to choose a goth name it would have to take the piss. something like EbonRaven GloomFart for maximum wank factor.

That or Captain Killjoy of the SS NoFun XD
