★ enumerate([리스트])

리스트의 각 데이터에 인덱스를 부여한 튜플이 나온다.

for i in enumerate([’a’, ’b’, ’c’]): print(i) 의 결과는

(0, ’a’); (1, ’b’); (2, ‘c’) 이다.

★ lambda x: x식

lambda는 x를 인자로 받는 익명 함수이고, x 식을 실행한다.

x 식이 boolen이면 true, false를, 식이면 식을 수행한 값을 return한다.

함수를 변수에 저장할 수 있다. a = lambda x: x>0;  a(5) ---> true

인자를 여러개 가질 수 있다. lambda x,y,z: x+y+z

"We're meeting up with Irene, Mark, Eunbi, and Yerin," Hansol elaborated and he so clearly didn't see the expression on Jeonghan's face that you did. You wished, in fact, that you couldn't tell that Jeonghan was upset with you. You didn't entirely know why Jeonghan was upset with you.

You looked away from Jeonghan, and instead found a spot on the floor.

"Y/n's going with you?" He asked. Hansol hummed.

"Not as innocent as we thought I guess," Hansol commented. "Asked for a hit of my vape."

"Yeah?"

His gaze was practically burning into you.

"And you were telling me about that party you went to last-"

Your eyes widened and you darted forward, your hand covering Hansol's mouth before you could consider the repercussions for your actions. Hansol stared at you in confusion, and you forced a laugh, letting your hand slide down to his shoulder.

"Can't tell everyone about the party."

"Considering that Seobin taught you how to smoke cigarettes I would think you would be ecstatic to tell everyone about the party."

There was dead silence between you three, in fact, you weren't even breathing.

"You know, considering the fact you're trying to make people see you more seriously."

"You know what? That does make me see y/n in a different light."

You risked a glance up at Jeonghan, who had a scarily calm expression on his face.

"Why don't I walk y/n to Irene's though? Didn't Soonyoung have some project he needed to talk to you about?" Jeonghan asked, directing his attention fully to Hansol. Hansol's eyebrows furrowed and he looked down at his hands.

"Shit, you're right."

As he thought over Jeonghan's proposition his hand raised to his face, and the light on his vape lit up, the artificial smoke drifting out of his mouth after only a moment.

"Y/n, Jeonghan can get you there. I'll be there after only a few moments."

He held out his vape just the same way that he had a few minutes ago, expecting you to take another hit. You decided not to overthink it. You grabbed the vape, breathed in too fast, and a cool and sharp bit of air and smoke hit the back of your throat. You coughed out in surprise but mostly kept the sudden reaction concealed.

Hansol smiled.

"You're getting used to it. I'll see you in a second."

And then he was rushing off, leaving you all alone with Jeonghan at your side.

It wasn't like you were doing anything wrong. You weren't doing anything that anyone your age had told you not to. You were just trying new things, and hanging out with new people and... Making everyone think differently of you.

Now that Hansol thought you were willing to try all of these new things he was looking at you differently. No longer that smile that haunted you when people asked you if you wanted to smoke with them out of convention. The look in their eyes that said that they knew you were going to turn down the offer, and that look that screamed to you that they looked at you as more of a perfect porcelain doll than a human.

And yet, looking away from Hansol's expression, the way that said that he finally thought you were normal, you turned and looked to Jeonghan's and you saw something else.

He didn't seem to see you as normal necessarily, and there was disappointment but that wasn't everything that was there... He didn't look at you like you had suddenly changed into something that ruined his perception of you... What was that look in his eyes?

"Cigarettes?" He asked you after a few moments. You stared at him and nodded. "How long were you at that party?"

Your hand raised subconsciously to the eyeliner you hadn't completely scrubbed off your eyebags. He huffed.

"And you're vaping now too?"

All things that you knew your parents would shame you for, and you felt shame. You felt like you had disappointed Jeonghan, but... Not the way that you felt like you should feel.

"You want me to teach you something today?" Jeonghan asked you. He closed the distance between you two, and dug his fingers into the roots of your hair. "Something like what I taught you the last time we were alone?"

Your breath hitched.

"Yes sir," you barely managed to get out, because as soon as the confirmation was out of your lips Jeonghan's lips were smashing into yours. Your hands quickly fell to his arm for purchase, your eyes smashed shut as every part of you forgot how to think.

You didn't even realize that you were desperately trying to press yourself into the kiss until Jeonghan had pulled away and you realized you were on the tips of your toes.

You stared at him, chest heaving, ready to be obedient for him.

"Today you're going to learn how to be quiet."

Jeonghan shoved you towards a closet and smashed the two of you inside of it. He then dug his fingers into your hair again and forced you down to your knees.

"Today you're going to learn how to suck dick."

You felt your mouth growing wetter as you stared up at Jeonghan, the dim light of the closet framing the dark look in his eyes.

"And today you're going to learn how to hide when you've done something naughty."

Hmmm here is a little bit of a teaser, this is him and y/n's first written interaction in the story:

“Hi there.” 

You looked up from the coffee maker that was probably five billion years old, pausing in your action of lightly banging it to try and get it to work. You smiled to try and hide your frustration and fought hard to keep the smile up when you realized that the person standing there was none other than everyone’s favorite CEO. 

“CEO Hong,” you greeted. “Sorry, I’m just…” You elbowed the coffee machine, frustration flashing through your body. “Trying to get old Betty here to work.” 

CEO Hong’s face was riddled with a mixture of amusement and confusion. 

“You know I bought coffee for the office? It’s just-” 

“I don’t like americanos,” you said shortly. CEO Hong hesitated. 

“Oh.” 

He stared at you for a second as you elbowed the coffee machine again. 

“Well, it just seems like Old Betty doesn’t work very well anymore.” 

“She works,” you gritted out. You were sure the CEO was confused by your frustration. By your pure anger and resentment but that anger and resentment just made you that much more frustrated. Those damn suppressants made your patience run thinner than when you were off of them. Something about not being able to experience your heat... You didn’t really know. 

“What kind of coffee do you like?” He asked you. You hit the machine again with your elbow and finally, it buzzed to life, dropping little drizzles of honestly the worst coffee you had ever had in your life. But still, you were relieved. 

“And why do you care?” You asked him, placing your elbow on the counter to give him an annoyed look. 

Yes, he was the CEO. Yes, he had the power to fire you. Yes, you should be more respectful as “an omega should be”. 

But it was bad enough that you even needed to have coffee. Bad enough that it had to be from the dusty old tin of coffee the company kept under the counter in the back. Bad enough that you were using powder creamer and expired sugar to make it drinkable. 

In fact, it was all so bad that you simply could not handle being respectful to the man in front of you who couldn’t even bother to get you all a good coffee maker which- By the way- Was much cheaper and more sustainable than buying americanos for the whole office every day. 

“I just… Well, it seems like this kind of coffee isn’t really-“ He was interrupted by the coffee machine very loudly, forcing the last bit of coffee into the glass coffee pitcher. You both stared at it. “Good for you.” 

You decided to ignore him entirely. You reached into the cupboard grabbing one of the dusty old glass mugs that had a crack down the side and you were pretty sure was only used by you. You wiped the dust off with a napkin because- what was a little dust when you were drinking dirt water anyway. 

You dumped your powder creamer into your cup and a bit of the sugar and as you went to pour the coffee a hand fell over yours. 

“You’ve got to be kidding,” CEO Hong insisted, wrestling the glass pitcher out of your hand. “I think that is going to kill you.” 

You two fell into a small silence, your brain fuzzy from the close proximity of him.

You were confused.

You hated that you couldn’t distinguish scents that well anymore, your brain just couldn't pick them out. You could smell hints of alpha on his collar but… It was so heavily dampened by the scent of a beta… Maybe he was dating an alpha? It certainly wasn’t uncommon. And much less looked down upon than a beta dating an omega.  

After all, omegas are best bred by alpha’s... You were ripped from your thoughts when you realized that CEO Hong seemed confused by your scent as well. His eyebrows were furrowed, and you felt heat rise to your cheeks. 

Was your scent noticeable? Were you going to get in trouble for not dampening it well enough?

You let Joshua have the glass pitcher of coffee and practically ripped yourself away from him. Subconsciously, readjusting your shirt and letting your hair down, as to help distinguish any lingering scent of omega on you. 

Once the distance was put between you two, CEO Hong seemed to remember the situation. 

“I can’t let you drink this,” he said, his eyebrows still furrowed. He was still thrown off by your scent. 

“O-Okay, fine, I won’t,” you agreed. “I don’t need the coffee anyways.” 

You really needed to take stronger scent blockers, penny-pinching be damned. You wondered if any of the other omegas could suggest you better ones.

That lingering scent on Joshua was itching your brain. The alpha he was with had such a strong scent, it was affecting you in a way that no alpha had before and they weren’t even actually there. 

“I’ll be getting back to work now.” 

Before CEO Hong could say anything more you were rushing off, fumbling with your phone to get Gyuheon’s attention, knowing that he always had scent blockers on him.

“Well, he hasn’t,” you said finally. You let silence fall between you two for a few moments. “… And, he wouldn’t no matter what because I told him not to call me.”

You could feel Yeongtae staring at you.

“Y/n?”

“Yeah.”

“You’re a different kind of stupid.”

“Hey.”

“You told him not to call you?” He reemphasized. “And you’re checking your phone waiting for him to call you?”

“I’m not-”

“Yes, you are,” Yeongtae interrupted. “How long are you going to be in denial over the fact that you still want to be with him?”

“Yeongtae he’s just…” You trailed off, feeling a bit frustrated. “He’s just a guy.”

Yeongtae rolled his eyes.

“You know who is just a guy?” He asked. “Yunjun, Seonghun, Jun, Me.”

“You’re not just a guy,” you protested. “And neither is Jun. We’re friends.”

“Oh,” Yeongtae said, seeming to be actually surprised by what you had said. “So then, because we have a relationship, despite it being non-romantic, you consider us as not just guys.”

You were a little disheartened that he would think otherwise.

“Well of course,” you agreed. “I can’t deny that Yunjun is just a guy, and I can’t speak on Seonghun but Yeongtae- We spend so much time together... How could I ever think of you as just a guy.”

A small smile crossed his lips.

“So then, all that time you spent with Jeonghan? Him taking you home after you got drunk, him taking you shopping, him building lego sets with you. All of that still reduces him down to ‘just a guy’?”

And just like that you realized that Yeongtae had just been putting on an act to make a point.

“Yeongtae,” you blurted, leaning over the table so that you could hit him lightly. He raised his hands in defense against you, laughing.

“I’m just saying,” he said. “Stop being a hypocrite and I’ll stop getting on your nerves.”

You sighed, returning to your seat.

“Look, I get you mean the best but I really am not hung up on Jeonghan,” you said. “It’s just the end of…” You hated to say it. “A relationship albeit a non-romantic one. It makes sense that I would feel a little hung up on it.”

Yeongtae rolled his eyes.

“And here comes the psych major.”

You sighed.

“I’m just saying, what ever emotional attachment I have to him-”

“So, you admit there is one!” Yeongtae interrupted triumphantly.

“Will pass,” you emphasized. “And it will pass fast because Jeonghan and I were barely emotionally attached in the first place. We just got comfortable with each other. That’s all.”

Yeongtae clearly wanted to press the subject but after searching your eyes for a moment he simply shrugged.

“Okay, I relent,” he said. “I’ll let you be stupid as long as you pay for dinner tonight.”

You let out a soft laugh.

“Yeah, of course, you will.”
