I get that the bookshop fire was traumatic for Crowley because he thought he lost Aziraphale.
I keep seeing people say they want Aziraphale to know what it would feel like to lose Crowley, but I'm pretty sure my eyes weren't the only ones open when this happened...
Right?
"And that was the last I was to see of Crowley for some time."
Aziraphale has lost Crowley. To Hell.
He could do nothing to stop what happened in Edinburgh, and I can't imagine that he didn't fear he'd lost Crowley for good here.
Aziraphale has experienced more heartbreak than some fans care to even acknowledge. He exists in constant fear of losing Crowley to Hell again. AGAIN.
We saw Aziraphale save Crowley from Hell in 1941 with the human magic trick he used on Furfur.
Aziraphale was the one sitting in the bathtub of holy water after the Notpocalypse, knowing this was the reason he'd been so scared to hand Crowley his own thermos of holy water in the first place.
He's lost Crowley to Hell before and he will do anything to prevent it from happening again.
That's the impact Edinburgh had on Aziraphale. This is the impact that losing Crowley had on Aziraphale.
@dduane I have no idea how I came onto your radar but I'm extremely shook, I have so much respect for your work and love your blogging besides and uhhh just thank you?? I just clocked into work and I've just been walking around in circles, I literally want to be you when I grow up (and I'm not even embarrassed about the verklempt Transformers OC rant so I guess I AM growing up!) so a reboggle is utterly boggling
thinkin about the theory that meta knight is actually a dark matter that just mimics kirby's species on this fine day....at the very least it would explain his bat wings and solid glowing eyes, but i'm mostly thinking about kirby quest (mass attack) and how meta knight had the second highest HP in the game - higher than dark matter swordsman and only lower than dark matter/zero itself. i know it’s a non-canon subgame but the fact that some media exists implying he’s in the league of them is interesting, especially bearing in mind his distinct avoidance with dark matter otherwise (does he avoid interacting with other dark matter because they feed off each other?). and why was galaxia itself the secret boss of the gauntlet?
meta knight's guest star title in star allies was "scourge of darkness", but in japanese it was something about how darkness is 'food' for his sword. could meta knight and galaxia be in a mutually beneficial partnership? galaxia feeds off meta knight's darkness, and meta knight basks in galaxia's sacred light. does he constantly train to be stronger so he won't get overtaken by his own darkness, and to prove to himself/others that he's good despite his origins? i know the novels sometimes touch on him losing control and acting pretty ferocious. i am having so many thoughts. none particularly cohesive
Not only is this such a badass line and delivery from Alastor, but I love that you can actually see his shadow come out of the wall and grab him to pull him to safety/into the shadows. ^_^<3 I think we're all pretty glad that he managed to survive Adam, but he definitely overestimated his abilities here. :/
Sometimes I think of how much Aziraphale adores Crowley and likes touching him and looks at him like at the most beautiful being on the planet (he is) and then I imagine someone as much as putting a knife to Crowley’s pretty cheek and Aziraphale seeing it and
