Please help
I live in the Philippines, and if you have heard the news, you must be aware we have been devastated by several typhoons within two months. And the most recent one was of an unprecedented record.
Cagayan, Tuguegarao, Isabela, and Pampanga are the ones most affected. I do not live there, but these areas suffered utter devastation.
I know there's isn't much, but please donate to help our people. Please do not donate to out government, they are more likely to pocket it rather than use it for something useful. Do not donate to change.org as well.
1 US dollar = 50 php. That is enough for a good meal for a family, with a few money left for miscellaneous needs.
TW: flood, dead animals, screaming footage

These are just few of them.
The gist
Our corrupt government gradually cut down our disaster funds
Cagayan valley ended up with a flash flood, approximately around 15 ft. Most are trapped on the roofs
Some people has died of drowning, some died due to electrocution because of exploding transformers
Many animals have also been killed due to the flood
Many people are without food, clothes, money, or any other possessions due to the suddenness of the flood, thus many are left with literally nothing except one another.
Rescue operations were on hold due to strong currents, low visibility. Air rescue are mostly civilian pilots, and they could not handle night rescues. As of now, rescue has resumed.
Donations drives were opened, however some of my fellow Filipinos took advantage of this to steal money rather than properly donating
My siblings and I collaborated with our own donation drive on the link below.

No one knows what could happen under the ravaging storm.
Enraging, somehow.
Ignorance and indolence resulted this. The ignorant being at fault for being unprepared of what's coming. The indolent being at fault for having no excuse but being indolent.

bruh
You don’t know about how much I want to punch this fucking old woman that the ‘’respect your elderly’’ rule doesn’t even matter anymore and is nonexistent.
(TRANSLATION) Briones’ advice on wet or stormed modules: Clean it, Dry it.
Like holy fuck do you really expect students to focus on studying when they literally just experienced a traumatizing ‘’natural’’ climate-based experience in which they could’ve died and it just resulted a bunch of financial problems on their family??????Like how can you be this apathetic and pathetic when old people are said to be more ‘’wiser’’ than the current generation? Oh wait, Age stereotypes don’t matter in this situation, Got it.
Also I’m pretty sure even when you dry water, Some pages are obviously going to be messed up to the point where there’s no use in restoring it anymore specially for people since the words would be intangible to read.

First Monday of the month that I really like, walang iniisip na gagawing activities, quizzes, exams. But this week is probably a "hell week" (di pa ako naka-review) yess midterms na!!!

I hope for their safety and health please keep on continuing our prayers for them. I feel blessed to feel this kind of weather kahit signal no.2 kami hindi masiyadong naulan at baha.

Not minding Bagyong Rolly, I went to Allan’s house for weekend drinks. I bought Baileys, while Dennis came with a cabernet and some cold cuts. Allan brought out his stash of whisky.
After dinner consisting of Korean Fried Chicken (24 Chicken is the best!) the conversation was somber, as we looked back at what the past seven months of lockdown made us. the thing with convos with cousins is the brutal honesty that emerges. for one, we all admitted to feeling depressed, while marooned in our respective apartments and feeling helpless at the same time. we shared the many ways we coped with the present realities and finally, drew up plans for the future, in particular spending Christmas lunch together.
by 9pm, i was driving home.

prior to the weekend, the ex-pilot sent Ube Cake to cheer me up. And along with it is 10,000 pesos.

so in case you are wondering, the ex-pilot and i have gone steady (long, boring story, kids)
anyways, the cake and the cash happened when in passing i told him that I was craving for Caramia;s Ube Cake but was too lazy to withdraw money from the machine. an hour later, the grab guy was at my door and few minutes later came the money transfer.
as it turns out the jowa is filthy rich on account of his separation pay from Cebu Pacific.
me: you don’t need to send money naman. me pera naman ako
ex-pliot: okay lang, I got my separation pay from the airline and it’s big!
me: weh? hindi nga? magkano?
ex-pilot: it was generous. kaya na naten kumain ng 3 meals a day lol
me: babe, naka sale ang Uniqlo at Nike (ehem ehem)
ex-pilot: putang ina!
anyways, I am still employed (thank you, Dad) and the ex-pilot has snow shifted to car repairs and restoration (which was his first love)
take care, peeps. we will have a long way to go.

YES, MADAAM BABY‼️
I'm more active about this sa Twitter but for my non-Filo moots, here's what's happening:
Certain regions at the Philippines, specifically at the north (I'm not sure which parts but I'm certain that the following are in danger right now: Cagayan, Rizal, Marikina, Metro Manila, Pasig, Isabela, Aurora, and more) are now suffering due to Bagyong Ulysses (internationally called as Bagyo Vamco). Not to mention, we haven't fully recovered from Bagyong Rolly, too.
Some of the residents are still entrapped in their houses and are in need of rescue. If you watch or read the news, some are currently staying at their rooftops (yes, the flood is that bad) waiting for aid. Usually, those who are entrapped are families who have children and elderly with them and unfortunately, we lack the man power as of the moment but we are trying! It's really heartbreaking :((( and I think Cagayan needs help the most atm? It has something to do with the water dam?
Please enlighten me to those who know more.
I'm so stupid to not post this earlier pero salamat Madaam Baby!
Here are some organizations, individuals, etc. that I found at Twitter who are accepting donations! (Please be wary with donating, a lot of individuals are taking advantage with the natural calamity)
Liyang Network
Art Commision 1
Aeonix Art Commision (5 slots only)
A Whole Thread of orgs. and individuals who are accepting donations
This, too (A thread)
This also (art commissions for a cause)
I'm sorry if it's not that much 💀 ang hina ng net, I can't dig up the donation drives I retweeted.
AND ALSO, FILO MOOTS P L E A S E, don't feel bad on criticising.

Bagyong Rolly
Grabe parang nag Reming ulit.
Praying for all na nasalanta ng bagyo. Be safe everyone!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

It's also the fact that we never learn. We only complain now but when election comes, we'd be fools again. The 'win' here is them winning over our votes and being on the seat for years with no intention of winning us against forces that threaten our existence.

Why More People are Opting for Online Jobs During a Pandemic in 2020
https://salvelaynefranco.wixsite.com/sofvirtualservices
The year 2020 started with a lot of heavy problems, from 2019 there were already difficulties and it just continued on to this year. With disasters that come and go, it has been hard for everyone all over the world. As of today in November, the mess still continues to burden businesses around the world to stop. People are losing jobs and this year has the highest rate of unemployment ever. With more than half of the year, everyone is looking for a silver lining that can save them from this rut we are in. Students and Teachers are going online to study and most establishments have looked towards online solutions that would help them. Examples of providers that gives you a chance to work online are Upwork and Fiverr. These platforms have been the best option in finding clients or freelancers that want to work hand in hand.
Pandemics of the Year
The volcanic eruption of Mt. Taal in Batangas which rendered every people and animals to evacuate the city as every inch of the city along with its neighbors are covered in soot or ashes in the sky that had people buying masks to protect themselves. Along with this, a lot of people have started to take advantage by selling masks at ridiculous prices. But to no avail, there are still kind-hearted people that have taken up the responsibility of donating food and rescuing the victims of the tragedy.
The unforgivable year is not yet done as the beautiful lands of Australia started to go up in flames. Countless animals were severely injured or had died in the fire, the worst part is that the Koala population has started to go down and they are now in the category of endangered species because at least a third of the fraction has perished in the bushfires. This is also a look back the fires in the Amazon last year as evil corporations started to burn lands in order to make way for agriculture.
The biggest problem of the year was when the previously known virus from Wuhan, China, named nCoV and now Covid-19, has the world suffering from respiratory diseases and forced everyone to wear masks, start social distancing and going on lockdown.
Currently in the Philippines, everything is still ongoing as storms still plague the country with Bagyong Rolly and countless people lost homes and are suffering with floods which forced them to evacuate.
Online Jobs Becoming Popular
Now you might be wondering, what has this got to do with online jobs? The answer is simple. People are staying at home and are unemployed. With everyone forced under lockdown and social distancing, it's hard to find work because all businesses especially small are coming to an end. So the biggest solution to this is opting for work at home through online means. The world's best discovery was when they invented the internet, with it, people from around the world started to connect and everyone learned this technology to progress even more. With computers and smartphones, people found the means to work virtually instead of hands on work that requires labor.
So what can we do in order to join this community?
First you need to invest and get these requirements:
-Capital Money (obviously) for,
-Internet Provider
-Desktop or Smartphone
-Computer Knowledge
-English Communication Skills, and lastly
-Eagerness to work
With all of these, you can already start your freelancing journey to earn online and work from home.
Benefits of Working from Home
-Work anywhere on the comfort of your home as long as there is internet
-Avoid city traffics and long commute
-Avoid the crowd
-Enjoy work autonomy
-Time for personal projects
If you are thinking about shifting to this kind of work, I assure you it would be the best decision you will ever make. If you want to know more about this kind of work, don't hesitate to contact Me :)

Felt like this needs to be posted on spreading awareness on what is happening in here. I’m in a Philippine city not affected by this at all but this post ain’t about me.
