I know people have been iffy in the past about the whole Defeat A Daedric Prince thing in ESO but like who doesn’t wanna beat the shit outta molag bal

Anyway so today I got to beat the shit outta molag bal and it was great, 10/10 do recommend

new game: pick one character from each alliance and each DLC to keep as a collectible companion.

BUT you can’t pick Raz, Naryu, or Darien

also love how you have to go around recruiting armies and specialists to help you out at Fort Redmane and then Elam Drals is just. there. you don’t have to ask him for help, and nobody suggests you do because they want all that Dark Brotherhood business to end, but he shows up to help anyways because he’s just pissed.

I just realized I have just enough gold to get Alinor Crest Townhome (with enough leftover that I won’t be totally out for luxury furnishings for a while) and on the one hand. I want that house so badly. on the other hand, I’ve been meaning to save for the three base game manors that’ll get me the Countess achievement. I want that title!

oh I’m so mad. I bought a motif on sale that I thought for sure I had been waiting for and for once I forgot to check before buying and it turns out I bought it and forgot it. I’m literally livid.

whenever ESO’s endeavors are like those “kill an enemy with a weapon/class ability,” I always just target things that don’t fight back because I can kill them in one hit and I know it’ll be one of the specified abilities. so anyways I was just doing my thing around the Rift, slaughtering squirrels and whatnot, and I saw a chicken and thought “oh I bet this isn’t like Skyrim, where killing it will immediately drive the townsfolk to hate me”

well guess what! it’s exactly like Skyrim.

oh man, okay, I definitely was already thinking it was weird that we found SO MANY black handprints so far and was like “you know, it’s not like that takes special equipment, anyone could fake a Dark Brotherhood calling card” and then I thought “no, no I saw that Elam Drals shows up in this DLC, I guess it’s for real”

no, I was right the first time.

I’m still getting used to the companion thing so far. I’ve only collected Bastian, and he’s fine. I guess I’d be a bit more gung-ho if it was a character I was specifically already attached to.

that said, we just fought a couple Kotu Gava and I like that he said “they made their choice. let them deal with it.” I’m going to say that every time I kill a mosquito from now on.

pretty much the only things I like about the CWC dlc are:

Neramo and the Vanos siblings working together

the crows who need your help defeating a scarecrow

that one line where Varuni’s like “you should be thoroughly prepared to meet a god, right?” like she’s not talking to someone who is already on a first name basis with multiple gods (and on the shit list for most of them)

whenever characters start talking about someone who hasn’t been introduced yet in vague terms like “my mentor” or whatever my first assumption is ALWAYS that it’s someone who’s shown up before. I’m guessing that’s not the case but I want it to be so bad.

babe. hon. you’re very obviously in your brotherhood leathers in the middle of a city where you’ve already been arrested because of your association with the brotherhood. who exactly are you trying to blend in with.

this woman in Leyawiin who’s drunkenly talking about how she came here to learn about Sai “Tiddies Out” Sahan and keeps talking to you unaware that you're one of his BFFs

new favorite NPC is the romance author who hires you talk to ghosts and then talks about how goddamn HOT the ghost of her great great grandma’s ex lover is
